7 days ago I bought my Zenith El Primero 21 because I love history of Zenith and for me Jean-Claude Biver is greatest entrepreneur who saved many companies and whose I love to listen his lectures and interviews on UA-cam:). Watch is on titanium bracelet and its just looks mindblowing on wrist. Truly amazing watch . No better price for titanium case and bracelet, two independent movements, in house movement and skeleton. Just love it.
Arguably the best video ever released by Watchfinder. Those movements are really mesmerizing, and the macro shot does help capturing the beauty. Great work!
This exact Zenith is my favourite watch and it isn‘t even that expensive. If a brand like Patek or Ap would develope a mechanism like that it would probably cost 10 times as much...
that is true but the finishing would be done by hand. the only few reasons a patek or AP is expensive is their hand finishing. because the movements are amazing but not much better than JLC and JLC makes incredible watches forunder the 15k
I had to take the Mrs zenith back for a repair yesterday- and they had the polished version in the shop with the blue dial - it really is nice in person - and very large. I’m very tempted !
@@ivanlagrossemoule You're right about that, although I heard they stopped hand beveling the edges of their lower end models for example and used more machines, which explains why they suddenly increased their production to 60k watches a year. I don't know how much hand work goes into each watch when they make so many
The fact that it took you 13 minutes just to make the video for the zeitwerk shows how hard you work to make these videos. God bless you man and thank you for these wonderful videos.😊
I love this. I could waste the morning looking at any of these movements working away. Even with the dullest appreciation of the mechanics and engineering involved I’m in just blown away. Delightful. Thanks.
I am, and have always been, floored by your close ups and macro shots. It’s hard to think of anybody these days that gives clarity to watch movements and detail as you do. Bravo, especially on this video.
Imagine seeing that Defy movement on the carbon fiber case. Mind blown! It’s a fun open worked watch to compliment the common staple Rolex Omega PP classic time pieces. 1/100 of a second chrono is a technical masterpiece. No wonder Rolex used zenith movements in the past.
I'd love a Watchfinder behind the scenes video. How long does it take you to produce a video from filming a watch, to editing, to lighting, to writing the script, to the voice over work?
This is what fascinates me with mechanical watches, the movements are just so clever, all three of these watches are stunning in what they achieve, take it further and add an annual calendar or a perpetual calendar and you have ask yourself how is this magic happens. I am in awe of what can be achieved without a battery, or a chip, or a circuit board, just springs, levers, wheels and cogs make time tick by whilst we sit mesmerized by what is going on in front of our eyes. I have no idea how long these watches will continue to be made but I hope for many centuries to come that way future generations can view these magical machines in action. Awesome video thank you.
If Patek only would have kept their attention to the finish of the Chronograph minutehand or its correct setting on the subdial I'd be a lot more impressed. But its a PP, getting used to it over time with this channels videos about them.
HI Watchfinder & Co. You asked what other watches I would like to see. So here is the list: 1. Kari Voutilainen Vingt 8 Blue Dial 2. RGM PS-801-EE 3. Blancpain Villeret Ultraplate 6223C-1529-55A Obviously it may be difficult to get exact models, and I would still appreciate any effort. Best Regards.
Excellent videos, I have an immaculate Omega Flight Master, 3 Rolex time pieces, have you made a video of a flight master. Thanks for the brilliant videos.
I feel like my dream narrator would make an engrossing experience out of my mundane, everyday life, even a supermarket trip: "there are good potato chips, there are great potato chips... then there are The BEST potato chips, ever created by Swiss potatobakers. Audemars Ruffles' astounding potato chips are worth every penny of the $40,000..."
@@surfmonster2323 Those are second-hand watches, probably in a dire need of a service. That being said it means Lange potentially fucked up when designing that part if it chips on impact.
[4:29 - 4:34] Me: "Oh, that's a still photo of that wheel zooming out" _> notices that the wheel is flickering ever so slightly_ "...you have got... to be kidding me..."😳
The minute hand on the chronograph of my Bremont ALT1-ZT works exactly like the Patek Philippe. Just double checked I am right and yes, the tiny minute hand jumps one minute just as the second hand passes 12. The Bremont while not being exactly cheap costs a lot less than the Patek Philippe so thanks for showing one of its unusual features.
Or you can make a dream watch collection video with patek Phillip 5227g,jlc jlc duometre quantieme lunaire,AP royal oak 15400.it's my dream watch collection.
So the mechanisms on the zenith are independent? So the faster second hand, whose primary benefit is to increase accuracy, does not impact the main movement at all? What is the point ?
The printing on the AL&S discs under macro is of a lower quality than I would have expected from the heralded brand. (6:01) (6:34) Brilliant pieces, nonetheless.
All 3 are astonishing, The Zenith is ridiculous! P.S. please update the way your website works, it drives me crazy trying to find the watch you are talking about, you never list specifications!
I've never had a appreciation for the mechanical engineering behind watch movements more than I have right now. Bravo 👏👏👏 Seriously though...a god damn fan to slow down the release of all that wound up energy 🤣 Horology be crazy
We know you want more watches…. click here: linktr.ee/watchfinder
This is what I like to see. Could watch the A Lange movement for hours. If I had one, I probably would wear upside down.
Exactly.
A Lange & Söhne: Business at the front, party in the back.
There are some stunning pieces here!!......and then there’s the lange @ sohne 😍😍
PP & AL&S have amazing movements. No doubt. But, that Zenith's movement is straight out Alien nation! Just brilliant & mesmerizing.
Agreed, though the new Zeitwerk with the Date added around the dial is a contender for me
Checkout the respective videos of the AL&S Zeitwerk & the Defy 21 already on this channel; I'm not sure if they have covered this specific PP tho
@@MPD90 Exactly I've got one myself, amazing watch for the money
And way cheaper
@@stiggeltime9182 So true!
This is why I love watches. The outsides are great, but the insides are the real star. Great video!
When you look at a Patek movement and say to yourself it doesn't get better than this here comes Lange, that finishing is unbelievable.

Completely agree 😍😍
The lange is stunning no matter front or back.
HerrBratwurst I love the instant time change too, the Lange is my favorite of these three.

Lange should make a skeleton. I don't think it'll fit what the company stands for but one can only admire it that way, while wearing it
The back of that Lange & Söhne is like a damn oil painting.

Good to see that your explanations are getting back to the original ones. Simple and Time saving.
It's a good day when Watchfinder releases a new video.
It’s not a WF video without that comment!

Holy crap check out the new ALS TRIPLE Split video from today!
I did! What a graceful beast.
Arguably the best video ever released by Watchfinder. Those movements are really mesmerizing, and the macro shot does help capturing the beauty. Great work!

The minute hand on that Patek gave me goosebumps. That video reminds me how much I love watches. Thank you
Thanks for making this video, these movements are amazing and your presentation is spectacular.
I think the A Lange Soehne Zeitwerk is my new holy grail :-) The perfect match between analog and digital. Even though it's all mechanical!
The El Primero is just insane, I love it

One word. Exquisite. Two words. Utterly exquisite. Additionally, a beautiful blend of style and mechanics.
Fascinating as always. Thank you.

This is why I own mechanical watches, the engineering that goes into them is worth the money alone.

Very interesting and cool video!
I love how you've set the time on the Lange to 10:10, even if it's "digital"
Those close-ups are superb.

Your videos are perilous ! And addictive !
Great content as usual, and as a Pentax user that MX always brings a smile to my face :)
I would add Seiko Spring drive to list of the most satisfying watch movements. Nothing beats smooth glide of seconds hand.
Exactly what I thought. Spring drive in my opinion beats everything with that smoothness.
