man. this guy knows how to do a demo. more playing, minimal talk to help guide the watcher as to what is happening and some thoughts along the way. loved every moment of it!
Dear @Fender Please make a LH option! This is my first attempt to rectify this. Next step will be a public Protest for lefty discrimination. Next step a hunger strike. 😜 I have to have this! It’s the best guitar and tone in the lineup!
Guess I've been living under a rock of ignorance cause I had no idea who this guy was. But I will say Mr. Sharkey plays the way I wish I could play - amazingly. And what a guitar, too!
I like the versatility. Fender seems to be doing every possible iteration of their guitars, which is great for us to have those choices. Thanks for the demo.
Well, this does completely change the way a jazzmaster is played, now it can do the out of phase jaguar thing and then some. This new circuit makes it even more versatile than before, very interesting
"out of phase MUSTANG thing" - the Jag has a mid-cut or "strangle" switch, the rest is just like a normal Jazzmaster minus the different way to select neck or bridge pickup.
This is very specific to this model. Most jazzmasters work completely different. A normal jazzmaster set up has a darker tone control on the upper horn. Very useful for fuzz and jazz.
I have a Brian May Special which has phase switching. Love the tones it can make. Now considering trading up my squire Jazzmaster for the Ultra. The separate volume and tone controls for each pick up is a great idea.
I want an American jazzmaster and American tele but they're 1900 in regina sk. Canada. One day when i go to the states and can get em for under 1000 its on my list
"This is what I like about Jazzmasters" *proceeds to describe the non-Jazzmaster circuitry* ;) Seriously though, great demo, still not sure about the noiseless pickups but solid playing and solid guitar.
Are you really surprised? The only actual Fender instrument I own is a '98 MIM Jazz Bass. Lefties get shafted. Squier seems to make more badass stuff in lefty than Fender does.
Jazzmaster was the best guitar fender designed and built but it wasn't popular with hard rock or blues bands because of big white plastic pickups. it didn't look as cool and serious as chrome pickups or narrow strat type .it was only popular with surfers that wanted to be different.
Am I the only one that thinks that the “out of phase” position makes the guitar sounds cheaper and worth considering another guitar guitar from the ultra series instead ?
FINALLY!!!! Someone plays JAZZ on a JAZZmaster! Thank you, Isaiah. Well done.

loved every moment of it!
One of the most tasteful demos I've seen!
Clear explanation of all the complex features. I could listen to him play all day.
This guy is so articulate, I loved his explanation!
Much better explanation here! And a maple fretboard! Wow

You haven't been under a rock. Your screen name says it all...😏
@@OriginalOldSkoolFunk Thanks! I appreciate it.
Pro tip: you can watch series at Kaldrostream. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Jamari George definitely, I have been watching on KaldroStream for years myself :D
@Jamari George yea, I've been using kaldrostream for years myself =)

Thanks Isaiah for a great lesson in how to use a Jazzmaster ❤
This cat killed that demo. Seems like such a cool dude
He plays so cleanly. Incredible.
Thank you Isaiah! Finally an explanation of the 3rd knob!

I'm falling in love with this guitar but I would get it in
Mocha Burst
I was hesitant on the new ultra until Sharkey said it was cool-now I’m on board
im pretty sure I used to see this guy at my local chicago suburb guitar center playing guitar about 10 or so years ago. Was amazing even back then.
This man makes that guitar come alive.
this is a great demo! Also, the black binding on the neck is a pretty nice addition!
Thank you for this! Mr. Sharkey is such a good player! His clean tones are son nice.
This brotha killed it ! very good demo on explaining what’s under the hood of this Lamborghini! Incredible player
First time I’ve ever understood what the Jazzmaster switching does and now I want one lol

@@liamtahaney713 exactly
They just had to release it in November...
I think I lost guys
Beautifully played demo-sounds great!
What a cool guy and great demo.
I like this guy, excellent player. Sounds great.
Yay. More guitars I can't afford.
Sweet playing!
I might have to buy one of these… 😬😍
I love his feel...

Really injoy your guitar playing your doing a good job so people can have a good start to go by more people need to learn by your example God Bless
Now, that's a review!
Out of phase just ain't for me. Call me crazy, but the rythym circuit is quite nice
It's nice, but not far from the normal circuit, and the whole idea of the ultra is a versatility.
Wish I could afford one 😭😭😭
Buy squire version
great video
Great review - easily one of -- if not the best -- of the new Ultras.
I want that blue one.
My next geeetarrr... 😎
Sounds great, looks amazing. Wish they would have went with some pearloid block inlays.
Need some left-handed options in the Ultra (and Performer / Vintera) range Fender.
I just got one. Debating getting the 65 pickups. The noiseless are good but definitely not totally single coil sound
Cool!

STOP CHEATING FENDER NOW IM GONNA HAVE TO BUY THIS
I must be blind cause I'm not seeing 22 frets like it says in the description
Beautiful
3:18 Somebody has to make a gif from this :D
Haha
I love JazzMaster except the tremolo bar... No surprise Isaiah didn't use it either.. His Strat demo was instead full of vibrato....
No left handed option.
Are you really surprised? The only actual Fender instrument I own is a '98 MIM Jazz Bass. Lefties get shafted. Squier seems to make more badass stuff in lefty than Fender does.
A WITCH!!
I wish I waited to buy this fully loaded pickguard instead of the American Professional Jazzmaster fully loaded pickguard but I'm gonna be aight 😉
I need this so bad
Really don't buddy
Looks great but there are some mids i can't appreciate, it's like a cocked wah is on.
I like your stratocaster ultra in blue nice really nice God Bless

Now, if it came in pink paisley I'd be selling a kidney.
Old soul
That would be good playing funk from sly and family stones music
Now make it DJENT
Just get a vintera guys
Truss rod in the heel 🤮
Am I the only one that thinks that the “out of phase” position makes the guitar sounds cheaper and worth considering another guitar guitar from the ultra series instead ?
man, it just doesn't sound good to me looks really good but not my tone
Myche fin gitarr
Not a fan of that plucky muffled tone. I’ll stick with strat or tele
The Jazz Master body design looks like it was made for hair metal, not jazz.
..out of phase on the bridge quacky af..🦆
Looks cheap.. sounds cheap.. not impressed with this Fender.
topopops coz you can’t afford shit fuck outta here biatch
