I can disagree with that sentiment towards Arya. If you go back a few seasons earlier when she first encountered the Red Women. The Red Women prophesied that she would close 3 eyes forever, one of them being blue. This was a very good foreshadowing, and the fact that she used the dagger that was meant to kill her brother was quite fitting. Now, albeit, the last few seasons felt rushed, and was missing depth such as the first few seasons... But that's what happens when you lack creativity. Look at the murderous job that Amazon did with Tolkien's works with over a $1 billion budget with the Rings of Power, it's definitely not Tolkien... When they were writing the shows based off of the Books from Martin, they started off doing a very good job. When they ran out of source material to work with you can begin to tell that the creativity of Martin's writing was no longer there... So I can see where you are coming from in regards to that...

While I can’t truly speak for the writers of the show, I’d say that the change speaks more about the limitations that women suffered from during similar time periods. In the books, Daenerys is 13 and Drogo is around 30 so saying it was consenual is questionable in this day and age. Making it a rape makes viewers feel uncomfortable and angry to make sure we keep it unacceptable in modern society.

Season 8 was handled poorly, her descent into madness happened way too fast, but her becoming the Mad Queen was always the ending planned for her. Had they stretched it out over a few more seasons, made her descent more gradual, it would've been much easier to swallow. But they crammed too much into too few episodes, so it felt very forced.

House of targarean with Rhager and his dragons and the mad kings descent into madness and his death by Jamie Lannister, rhagers relationship with lyana and the deaths of his Dornish wife and his death , deanarys and viserys being smuggled away to safety and again showing what it was like on their side during the rebellion
House of Tully that could show Caitlin growing up with littlefinger and meating ned and showing what it was like on their side during the rebellion
House of Baratheon seeing Robert, Stannis and renly growing up and Robert falling in love with lyana, his friendship with Ned, lyanas death and showing what it was like on their side during the rebellion.

    2. Jaime's actions towards Cersei following Joffrey's death
    3. The fate of Shireen Baratheon
When you guys explained the behind the scenes of Sansa's torture, I was also like "WHAT!?!". I almost felt like Jaime's actions would've been number 1 even if it was in the story that scene happened, but apparently the Sansa scene story says it all. I also felt like Shireen's fate was worse than the burning King's Landing because we happened to get in touch and know more about Shireen which makes her death so brutal and hard to watch.

Sansa's wedding night was definitely horrifying, but it did not go too far. There is almost no nudity and no onscreen violence at all. We understand what is happening, but it would be completely out of character for Ramsey to do a Khal Drogo and suddenly turn in to a kind and caring husband. Of course, it's sickening and infuriating what happens, but anything else would be out of place with a monster like Ramsey. Given how unsettling the idea of Sansa being r*ped by Ramsey is, it was very tastefully shot, leaving almost all to our imagination. Finally, credit must be given to Alfie Allen for his acting. The look on his face as he watches is what truly drives the scene home.

Okay so number one isn't 100% accurate. It's true that Ramsay doesn't marry Sansa in the books, but he does marry her best friend, Jeyne Poole, who is disguised by the Lannisters and Littlefinger as Arya Stark. Theon is a part of it, and is forced to... prepare her sexually... before Ramsay SAs her. He has to do more in the books than just watch like he does in the show.
The options they had were to use Sansa's character, which already had assumed a fair number of Jeyne's characteristics from the books, or write another character into multiple episodes across multiple seasons. The Lannisters needed a Stark marriage to cement Bolton control over the North, which is a fairly important plot point in the show. Theon grew up with both Sansa and Jeyne. It would have been equally cruel to have him there with either one. The only difference for us as viewers, is whether it's to a character we know and love, or one that would have been written in solely for that purpose.
Either way, it still wasn't as awful as what was done to Shireen, imo.

At first seeing that Theon betrayed the Starks and that at first I thought someone who was loyal to the Starks wanted to just scare Theon until he regretted his betrayal, which at first seemed somewhat justified but after seeing Ramsay put Theon through hell and I felt extremely bad for him afterwards

Stannis would never willingly allow Shireen to perish. This is well established in the show, so it doesn't make sense when that scene plays out.
    They did my boy dirty.

Umm no. Stannis would sacrifice anything for the “greater good” that’s what Shireens death is, if Renlys death would have been explicitly from Stannis the exact thing that happened after Shireen would have happened

Is no one even remembering that an infants neck was sliced open with his mother present? That many of Robert Baratheon's bastards were slaughtered?

I never felt so much pain in my heart hearing Shireen shrieks go loudly as her father watches... and stops.

One time when my lizard was shedding his skin and there was an entire area of skin that he was trying to get off, I helped him. At first, I thought it would feel like stripping loose paint but instead it felt like the scene with Samwell and Jorah.

I really like GOT but it's a walk in the park compared to the violence in Spartacus.

Fun trivia .. the horse heart was like 3 pounds of gelatin, she ate it all and was sick as hell lol

The average weight of a Thoroughbred horse heart is around 8 pounds. Even speculating that the Dothraki horses would be smaller, it just wouldn't be possible for little Dany to eat six pounds of meat at a sitting.

Based on the fanbase's love for the show though - I don't think they ever went to far. They gave the audience what they wanted. At any moment they could have protested by choosing not to watch, instead they made it one of the most successful franchises ever.
