This is dope AF. Thank you for disclosing your sources. It's like a master chef listing the raw ingredients and then showing what can be done with them.
Vibin to this!!! Wakes up the peace in me again... In those troubles times, destructive thoughts are just one new flash away. Thanks for your music bro 🎵💜💚🧡🎶
The crates have been 'Doug'!!!!. Solid showcase, it hits hard and with excellent use of the scenes too. Consistently top stuff, IMHO Doug is one of the Circuit Rhythm masters!
Good stuff dude !! 😎 I like how you are using the song mode feature, I must learn how to use that on my Circuit Rhythm, your vids inspired me to pick a Rhythm, I made 4 albums with it already, amazing machine, such an immeadiate and fast device !! 😊
Dope! Yeah, I really dig it for that immediacy too. And you got to get on using scenes. They're dope because you can use it as basically a song mode or just to get things together so you can jump back and forth between things live. I just wish there were more than 16 slots. You'll love it.
Excellent Doug, well done. My kind of music. When you’re digging UA-cam, do you just slot sounds together by ear? I’ve heard loads of material I’d like to sample, but not knowing the key…I’ve got key ocd or something!
Yeah, I put everything together by ear. I've got no formal music training so it's all I really can do. It's easier with vinyl because you can tune it as you listen to see if it will work. But going off of anything else, you just need to sample it and play around with it. The other thing is that a lot of samples don't really work together until you filter them. It's pretty common to come across a lead line that works with what you've got going but the chords will clash. Also I think if it sounds good to you that's all that matters.
The true art of beat making !

Thanks! I'm obviously flattered by the analogy
These beats are DAF!
Dope beats. Came here from the elektron forums. I like that you provide the samples too so others can see your process
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.

Thanks man. I feel you on the news bit. That's part of why I think I got back into beats as seriously as I have. Otherwise I'd just be doom scrolling.
Now this is SUPER helpful. Trying to learn how to get the most from scenes to make fuller compositions. Love it. Subscribed!
Vibes! Got the Rhythm too since a few days. Lovely machine the novation guys made!
Dope. I hope you have fun with it!
I see Cool Doug Love and it's an instant thumbs up man! Love this idea.
That's what's up. Thanks!

@@CoolDougLove yeah that’s great advice. Keep on making these beats man, lovely stuff.

One criticism, the overall volume keeps slowly waving up and down (a compressor issue?).
Cool. Next time I'll try to be more mindful of that. I think it probably happened in Audacity when I was running each section through a limiter.
