    I think people into this workflow are definitely more and more into the fact that it does it all without a screen. I'm really impressed by teh Circuit line and how it was so good in the first place and keeps getting better. Thanks for saying you gotta consider the cost when comparing to MPCs and Roland sampler. I wish people pointed that out more often. Amazing little machine, very musical and quick.

    Thank you so much for patiently just "talking" about this device. I just bought one and want to understand its potential better and your explanation of its Scenes function as a Song mode was perfect!

    Your intro is incredible. Glad you’re enjoying the Rhythm. Think it’s the most fun sampler I’ve ever used.
    I think if you have the sample gated, then the slope knob changes both attack and release (turning right).

    A very handy feature is if you place an empty sample at the first step of a sequence, and then record inn while the device is playing. The sample will playback immediately, making it almost like a looper.

    Very tempted by the rhythm, particularly because of portability & ease-of- use but have also long admired the Korg Electribe 2 Sampler and wondered what your thoughts were on this comparison?

      On paper, I think the E2S probably wins that one but for me personally, I resonate better with the Circuit.

    Hey there, I got the circuit rhythm a couple of months ago but wasnt able to do anything with it because of work. now that i have some free time i'm able to mess around a little with this piece of gear. for now I just want to use this for triggering party noise samples. say i load up 8 party noise samples into the rhythm and i take it to a gig will it let me trigger 2 samples at same time?

    • @MattGreerMusic
      @MattGreerMusic  2 роки тому

      The way the different sequencer tracks are set up would make that difficult.

      @@MattGreerMusic what do you mean?

    • @MattGreerMusic
      @MattGreerMusic  2 роки тому

      @@ivanvelez7668 Is the goal just to press two pads to trigger two sounds at once? The architecture of this sampler isn't really set up that way. The only way to get polyphony of samples is to program them to the sequencer and press play. If you want to do that you're idea will work but if you just want to trigger two samples by tapping two pads, this device doesn't really do that unfortunately.

    Hey Matt. What is your view on the difference between the Samples and the Rhythm, specifically in tandem with the Tracks? No 2 songs are the same, but (for example) I find the Tracks is useful for a bread and butter pads and baselines, and of course non-pitched one shot samples. Ignoring the actual sample in capability for a second, It sounds like that the Samples gives you a bigger soundbank (and is also outside of the packs format) not to mention the options for potentially loads of different effects to the ones on the Tracks etc…. (is this what you mean when you talk about the biggest differences?) On the flip side, the Rhythm is tightly integrated with the Tracks, so there’s a “seamless’” aspect there that is very appealing. My main concern there is the 4(ish) minute limit per pack (vs 11 on the Samples) and whether that would be too restrictive in terms of using a variety of samples across a project. If you wanted to add ambient drones, some textures and bits of percussion, which of these stands out as a Tracks booster to you?
    🤔

    • @MattGreerMusic
      @MattGreerMusic  2 роки тому

      Not sure I'd want either for ambient textures and drones as neither use stereo samples but between the two, the Samples is maybe the better choice for your intended use.

      @@MattGreerMusic but that's the thing...this is really meant to be a portable device away from studios and basically a stand alone unit. you (ideally) load samples and take it with you. most wouldn't want to take massive studio quality headphones...and most if not all consumer grade Hphones use the 3.25 standard...
