Today I prepared Kellu Kuzhambu(We call kollu as kaanaam in Tamizh). I am not eating onion and garlick.So I prepared without these. It is good. We make chutni, Idli,Dosai,soup, paruppu podi etc in kollu.All are very good and good for health. All your preparations are very good.
I will do it often but not by soaking horsegram, I will dry roast it and break it and cook only three whistles and follow sir’s procedure it will taste heaven and that too in a rainy day

Wonderful recipe Sir. There is a simpler way of cooking it. You have to dry roast the horse gram till it is slightly warm. Then wash it well and cook it in the cooker till 3 whistles and keep it in sim for about 15-20 mts. It will get cooked well.
Every saturday kollu parupu with ghee in kongu area its mandatary but the recepie is little differ from this.that one s looks like chatney(kollu kadaiyal)one pot recepie.

With very little gingely oil u can saute the ingredients instead of dry roast since onions also have to be cooked along with it. While sauting we can add Red chillies, fresh curry leaves too adjusting the pepper corns.. depending on our spice level Or else u could have used normal chilli powder instead of kashmiri chilli powder..this receipe does it need kashmiri chilli powder? Anyway Will try Your receipe and fusing some changes 😊

Dear sir .. Try kollu salad or podi... The kollu which u kept remaining ir separate ... take that completely drained... in a mixie jar add few green chillies and this kollu... make very fewer runs so that it turns into a coarse powdery consistency

We used to cook kollu kulambu once in a week...we cook 5-6 whistle in cooker with out shocking for 12 hours (which u said in this video 2.14min)...
