candy HCU1492DE - spin only 1400rpm

- spinning out the load of towels from the failed attempt at recording cotton 90°. as you can hear, at low speeds there is a twanging noise which most likely comes from the springs. this doesn't bother me because i view it as a similar thing to LG having noisy shocks (and plus, it only happens up as far as 300rpm).
the motors they use in these brushed models sound good, in my opinion. i'm guessing it's a welling, since it sounds very close to my indesit which used welling. might even be the same motor, since indesit could have actually reached 1461rpm at the most (with a 1:13 ratio). i do have to say, the motor is definitely not as loud as people make out they are. i also want to make a point of saying, this BRUSHED candy holds for longer than my INVERTER hisense (ignoring eco cycles).
i'm surprised that it didn't sudslock or waterlock considering this was a full load of soapy, saturated towels and i couldn't possibly count how many times people have told me "it'll sudslock with everything cos it's brushed". whatever they've done differently with the ultra models, it really has worked.
spin performance of this candy is fairly average, nothing special. doesn't compare to LG in the slightest. i'd say it's equivalent to the indesit's spin performance which isn't very impressive, considering indesit held at 1200 for only around 75 seconds.
it is a real shame that this machine broken, since as i mentioned in the video, i think this would have been a machine that i would have actually liked. the machine is completely spotless, too.
in terms of dealing with the outlet store - they were fine about it and i've already arranged an exchange, as you saw in the update i posted yesterday. the one annoyance is that i have to wait until the 16th december for the replacement machine. over a week. at least i am an appliance enthusiast/collector, otherwise that would be a huge inconvenience.

Does it pump water into the drum before the drying cycle starts?
In mine (Candy Rapido) if you select this program, there is a way to remove water pumping, so it only spins for 10 minutes. After selecting the program you just press of the other buttons on the left, and you can select spin only
Nice😍
i wish mine was like this(the usual spin routine without the stupid active balance), i find the springs sound cool, and i do agree that Candy is one of the few that have the best spin perfomance(my Nova from 2003 spun for 8mins at 600rpm) low i know, but it still gave a decent result, also Candy is amongst the most stable i've seen(unlike what them airheads come up with)
i've certainly had much worse spin performance from machines, but i've also had better spin performance. for a 100-odd second hold it isn't bad.
@@thelaundrycookie1200 my zanussi holds at 1400 rpm for like 8 minutes
mine holds 1400rpm for 6¾ minutes on the long spin, 3¾ (i think) on the eco spin, and 65 seconds on the short spin
THE BEST WASHERS BY ME
1.✨BEKO✨
2.CANDY🍬🍭
3.INDESIT
i think mine would be LG, electrolux group and maybe hisense. in no particular order
Busted from brand new.
not quite brand new - it came from the outlet store
@@thelaundrycookie1200 so it was like new
14:43 I agree they certainly ain't as noisy as some say like mine is that noisy
I HAVE BEKO WASHER-DRYER IN THE KITCHEN AND HAS 1400 RPM AS CANDY ULTRA
interesting
i see a similar machine on youtube working on diffrent cycles, and i am defenetly not convinced of it.. candy would probably be the last brand i choose...
fair enough, each to their own
Would you recommend buying one?
depends what you're looking for. if you're looking for a quiet machine then avoid these as they have very loud brushed motors (although there are quieter inverter models also available). if you don't mind a loud motor and you're looking for a lot of cycles\options then i'd say give one of these a try.
edit - clarification
@@thelaundrycookie1200 Much appreciated it. I'm about to get an 8 Kg one, here in Romania. It has some fancy stuff on it but the more I look it up, the more I get really bad feedback. It's not an inverter one
1:33 hold the final spin
That s crap because is too short
a 93 second hold is fine for a brushed motor
@@thelaundrycookie1200 no
@@thelaundrycookie1200 is too short
Think it uses a haier motor
hmm ok
@@thelaundrycookie1200 Don't know now... but certainly until 2019, normal depth models (brushed) had Haier motors, slim ones Askoll! my uncle had an 8+5 washer dryer (smart touch) and used a haier motor !
i don't remember what haier brushed motors sound like. this motor does sound an awful lot like the welling motor that my indesit had, hence my guess of it being welling. if i had the right tool then i'd open it to check.
Haier brushed motors sound just like Samsung brushed so I don't think they used Haier motors@@thelaundrycookie1200
it's a welling motor. as i originally suspected. i know this sound anywhere lol
