hisense WFQP9014EVM - full spin only 1400rpm (motor view - no belt/pump)
finally, i have managed to film this on the hisense. these motors are extremely fussy about running with no load, and will refuse to spin and/or abort acceleration the second it detects no load. luckily, when it passes 3500rpm (335rpm drum speed), this deactivates.
the motor shown is a nanyang WDHX350FA brushless DC motor.
i actually think these motors are really cool. they sound lovely when not ruined by the horrible noises from the belt, and are surprisingly quiet and powerful.
this motor is rated for 13,000rpm. the machine is heavily overclocking it to 13,944rpm on normal spins and 14,752rpm on the extended spins.
the drum:motor ratio of this machine is 1:10½.
at full speed, the drum reaches 1328rpm and the motor reaches 13,944rpm (approximate figures).

    • @thelaundrycookie1200

      beko uses more water by far - LG's water levels and number of rinses changes depending on the load, whereas this range of beko does not make such adjustments. LG washes better and would be more economical due to using only the required amount of water. both are reliable models but LG has been more reliable with just 1 fault, beko had 5+ by the time it got to the age that the LG is now (almost 9 years old).

      service mode, service wash, service cycle, test mode... all are different terms for the same thing. which i have shown here. a technician connecting directly to the board is not called service mode - it doesn't have an official name. most manufacturers won't even do this anymore anyway. almost everything is built to be replaced...

The Service mode usually is turn the knob to the one touch or wifi and then press the spin button for 7 seconds... Depends if the machine is wifiable or not... I think the one touch ones are NFC connection so you read the errors and reprogram the eeprom through there... Its a shit system ngl... And i was here looking for the service mode cuz hoover is so good that the service app bugs out and doesnt show me how to do it... Luckily its the same as other models... Nevertheless... agree to disagree, debating over terminology makes no sense. the commonly accepted phrase with me and other enthusiasts\engineers i talk to is service mode. it's just another case of each to their own. service mode is indeed activated using a different combination on wi-fi models. you can also perform this through the app. though they call it "check up" there. onetouch and smart touch models are indeed NFC. it's nowhere near reliable enough to reprogram anything as even reading statistics is nearly impossible sometimes.

    1:01 why do you put the powder into the centre of the drum instead of the drawer? This machine is slightly overloaded for me, clothes tumble fine though and chances are with this load is going to absorb all the water before it gets to the centre. From the drawer the detergent becomes a slurry that then drops onto the clothes as the drum rotates creating a better distribution of detergent. The way you're doing it I'd not be surprised if bits of undissolved detergent remained in the clothes after the wash is done. Wash water quantities seem to be reducing as the years go on. I've seen models that allow to pause and open the door a few minutes into the wash. No chance of doing that on my LG which is of the same vintage as yours but without a dryer.

    • @thelaundrycookie1200
      @thelaundrycookie1200 Місяць тому

      i put it in the drum out of preference and because it makes no difference. if anything the detergent starting in the drum will result in a better distribution as it can't slide directly into the sump... it's not overloaded here - just fully loaded. look in the middle of the video and you'll see it tumbling completely fine. if it absorbs the water, the machine will add more to reach the correct level. that's what the pressure switch is for. detergent residue doesn't occur unless the machine is overloaded or you're using powder on a cycle like wool or rapid with a full load. im also quite happy with the water levels used on this machine. all machines let you open the door if it's safe to do so. some just require you to wait 2 minutes for the lock to release. my LG will open after 2 minutes if paused mid-cycle, and so would yours.

      @@thelaundrycookie12001:12:37 there appears to be a gap from the top of the clothes to the top of the window. Given the viewing angle is slightly higher than dead centre it looks like it's over two thirds full. Can't say for sure. That would be my limit for a full load. I usually go with a hands width with dry clothes and when wet the clothes reach around the half way mark if viewed dead centre. The tumble action is more vigorous than I see here and the clothes come out great no matter the soil on a Cottons 60. You say better detergent distribution if placed in the drum but the cup is completely enveloped by the sheets upto the hour mark. How much water is getting in there really? Not clear to me if the fairy powder you're using is bio or not. If it's bio, it needs to dissolve and enzymes get to work before temperature crosses sixty degrees. If non bio then no problem. You will say but the cup is empty and all dissolved but I'm not convinced you get a better wash if used with a bio detergent.

    • @johndoe-vc1we
      @johndoe-vc1we Місяць тому

      Should add that putting detergent into the drum precludes the use of prewash which I use with half my loads. I don't add any detergent as the prewash isn't heated and not long enough to clean anything. But it helps loosen soil and give the main wash a better chance after a water change.

    • @thelaundrycookie1200
      @thelaundrycookie1200 Місяць тому

      two thirds is two thirds. not full. you already mentioned the hand's width gap, so you must know about that. and that is what you should follow when determining a full load. it's the whole idea behind it. you should also consider that bedding and clothes are very different. look at some of my other videos with clothes full up to the same level and it has the vigorous action you mention. the bedding is still getting washed thoroughly. "if anything" was the term i used. as i also mentioned, there's no noticeable difference from where the detergent is put. the dosing cap empties everything out the second the drum rotates, then it flows around the load and dissolves in the water quickly. as i said, the machines know how much water they need to have to wash, and will add extra when needed. the dosing cap not being seen until the 1h mark doesn't mean it was fully enclosed that entire time. it could easily be against the back of the drum or around the sides. the bedding is changing position in the machine so by definition, the dosing cap has to be, too. fairy doesn't make bio powder. and actually enzymes only work up until 40°. above 40°, bio provides no improvement over non-bio. i explained this to you in a response to a previous comment you left. if prewash is used then the main wash detergent just gets added into the drawer. i don't see why that shouldn't be obvious.

      if you don't have a display, look out for the start LED flashing. it will either flash red and green, or flash then pause, then flash again if it flashes red and green, count the flashes of each colour. red flashes indicate the first digit of the error code, green flashes indicate the second digit of the error code. for example, two red flashes and 4 green flashes indicates E24. if it simply flashes one colour then pauses, pay attention to the end LED as well. the amount of flashes on the end LED indicates the first digit of the error code and the amount of flashes on the start LED indicates the second digit of the error code. for example, two flashes on end and four flashes on start indicates E24. please report back with the error code and\or amount of flashes

    Interesting comparison. LG had the shortest cycle of the lot and still managed to beat out machines with cycles twice to three times longer. I was expecting the longer duration might affect the results but clearly that was not the case. It would seem there really is something to this 6 motion wash they have. Which I understand is only available on their flagship Cottons cycle. The flexitime with its load detect reduced the cycle to similar duration as the LG was couldn't wash as well. Ditto the Candy with its load detect. I was intrigued by the small quantity of detergent you used. Just 12gm. Had it been twice as much I expect the stains would have come out more uniformly across the machines. So underdosing was a good choice as it really put the wash action of all machines to the test 😊

      LG are very good at washing. they use 6motion on everything, not just cotton. as for the detergent, it's non-bio so needs less than for bio. 12g was not an underdose. but you're right in that it shows the wash action is important. to fully remove the stains, i would use stain remover, pretreat and depending on the stain itself, boilwash them with non-bio detergent, or long 40° wash with bio detergent

      @@thelaundrycookie1200 ah so it was the choice of non bio detergent that made the difference. Had it been bio then would the longer cycles of the hi sense and Candy won?

    • @thelaundrycookie1200
      @thelaundrycookie1200 Місяць тому

      at 60 it would make no difference as the bio detergent's enzymes would be denatured. bio detergent works best at 40°. if i ran it at 40° with bio, then hisense's long wash may well have won overall. candy's results wouldn't have changed.

      this is nothing to do with midea. there is one single model that is midea, which is an integrated washer dryer. everything else is either hisense's own, or gorenje.
