- here is a full spin only cycle at 1400rpm in the candy smartpro, with the pump disconnected, belt removed, and the camera pointed towards the motor. this allows us to see and hear the motor running completely alone.
as someone who loves motors, watching a motor run completely alone without any background noises is one of my favourite things.
the motor shown is a welling HXG-138-55-54L brushed motor.
this is probably my favourite brushed motor due to it's low pitch, and distinctive powerful sound as it approaches full speed. the sound it makes at ~15000rpm (~1220rpm for the drum) is amazing. i do love welling in general though, their other motors are lovely too.
the drum:motor ratio of this machine is 1:12⅓.
at full speed, the drum reaches 1372rpm and the motor reaches 16,921rpm (approximate figures).

Hi. Nice video. I know that you like the Weling motors. This Candy seems to play piano when it is ramping up.
play piano? do you mean the pulsing ramp to 300\400rpm? it's a typical candy thing. people claim it's from the motors being cheap but no other brand that uses these motors does these pulses. candy also doesn't always do that.

Can you do one of Hisense 1400rpm spin motor view no belt/pump
unlikely, as hisense will not spin spin without its belt. i may try to find a way around it though

i don't like the new ones at all, as they're so sensitive and limit constantly. im not sure about older ones though

They look very stylish and they heat really well apparently. I've heard they hit true 90°C. They wash like a vintage machine too. I also love that the tubs are cast iron like old Mieles. However they are way too overpriced and always limit the spin speed
@@Sagelarva9560 some new Mieles have the steel tub but even Miele are starting to use plastic tubs now :(
