    Love this greenhouse... I've come back and watched it many times over the last several years. Would love to see it now in this current year 💚 a walkthrough would be awesome. We are building our own now after years of waiting for the right time 😊

    Please please do a short video of the completed greenhouse. Please include a view from further away so we can see the whole greenhouse.
    We all want to see!!

      I'll try to put something together soon. I've been so busy enjoying the greenhouse and growing succulents that I failed to show the finished product.

    SIr, good job. This is amazing. I like the stain glass hinged windows. Great look. I am working on building one myself now in Durham, North Carolina. THank you for the inspiration.

    Is there any way that you could do one more video on your finished greenhouse?
    Maybe different shots of the outside and inside.
    Nice and slow so we can enjoy the finished product?

      Maybe since time has now lapsed, another video would not only provide a finished kind of review, but also an example of the project's durability. Any thoughts on improvements or changes that may now be clear would also be greatly appreciated by most viewers too!

      Awesome antique window greenhouse built! Would love to see first two videos of rough shell and foundation if you have them... Can't find them on your home channel page!
      Beautiful job!
      Curious also how it is holding up and what all you are growing in it??🙄

    Thanks for the inspiration. I built a near replica of yours. My neighbor is going to do the same. Your videos were great to follow.

    Just subbed to your channel! I'm also building a greenhouse with reclaimed windows. I'm now following how you're building yours...particularly interested in how you'll build rain gutter catching system. Thank you for the effort you put into this building video!

    What works good to cut it too is a plywood blade or even a ripping blade but the trick is putting the blade in backwards so the blade is not hooking or gouging out the plastic but like scraping it away to cut it

    I don't think the screws go in the valley. Only are screwed on the humps. Only on the bottom do you screw in the valley. I love your greenhouse! ❤❤❤👏

      I spent about a year collecting the windows and working out a layout on my computer so that the look would be balanced with similar sized windows on each side. You can fine various types of windows but I focused on older wood sash windows. You can find repurposed windows at reclaimed building supply stores. Over-all I must have spent around $1500 over the year and half that I worked on the project. I just tried to spend it little by little in smaller increments. You can probably spend less if you aim for less expensive metal framed windows that are used.

    I'm researching a greenhouse build using same panels. Having sealed it airtight, have you had any condensation issues?

    • @timblair3004
      @timblair3004  2 роки тому

      I mainly try to keep a fan going in the winter time. Condensation still occurs inside the windows when the temperatures drop on the outside but the airflow seems to help the limit the growth of mold on the plants.

    Screws go on the peaks not in the valleys on the roof. Only use 100% Silicone caulk on the panels, anything else will attack the polycarbonate. Check with the manufacturers installation tips.

    • @tonybaker3024
      @tonybaker3024 Рік тому

      it will get very hot in there, probably do not need polycarbonate on the roof, only the walls? Yes, Screws go on the peaks not in the valleys normally but in this case there will be moisture inside the house anyway so not really an issue. I think he has worried too much about water ingress because there will be so much condensation anyway, the interior will be wet.
