I already have my door panel off due to locking mechanism issues. I found one of my wires under the switch had become dislodged, I reconnected it and window rolls up and down just fine. I thought I would share before folks start ripping their door assembly apart.
Some may use lesser troubleshooting methods to determine where the issue is.. Like a multimeter... But the best and cheapest method to test is definitely to buy all the possible parts and harnesses and swap them out until you know what one was the issue. ;-)
What about a passenger window that quit moving up or down, but makes a grinding noise when the window button is pushed. You can hear the motor trying to work.
Um, window wouldn't go up. It's the reason for changing the motor. Helpful tip for viewers- if the window is all the way down and won't go back up, reconnect the switches and press up while tapping on the motor with something metallic and the motor will likely unseize and the window will likely go up with a little help with your hand. This doesn't mean it's fixed. It's only temporary, so don't expect the window to go all the way down, then come back up without taking off the door panel again. This will make it possible to replace the motor now, because it's basically impossible to change the motor with the window all the way down. Try this before you cut the cables (which is your only other viable option aside from removing the actual clamps at the bottom of the window, which is a rabbit hole you don't want to go down when it comes time to reclamp it). Have a good day.

Probably a fuse.
Windows already up, how to get the window up not even addressed. Thanks though.
It can be a pain. Sometimes, I have had to take the glass off the track.
this was really god for taking out the motor, however you did not show complete steps of putting it back together . Thanks very much.
Watch it in reverse!:)

Sure thing!
Ppp of tztm and on the way out I rolled down the window and I heard a clunk and then it went roll back up I mean it wouldn't yeah it wouldn't go back
How to test if its your motor or switch; buy a replacement motor; try it. If it works is the switch. DEEEEP.
It's a pro tip! You need highly specialized tools to do this!

That's all good except if the window is all the way down. Can't get behind the motor
You should be able to get the window back up.
