    THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO! On my 2001 Suburban, I was able to replace the rear assemblies without having to remove the speaker in the door. OH, and do be careful with the power window switch/trim. I had one come apart and lost one of the tiny white toggle pins inside the window switch assembly (on a white gravel driveway). Off to Amazon garage to order a replacement.

    Good video. 👍🏼 Thanks.
    That sealant is some sticky stuff. Use a utility knife to cut the sealant as you pull it away from the door about 1 inch. That way the sealant will stick to the same spot it came from.
    Helpful Tip: The window motor will drain your car battery if you raise and lower the window too many times while testing it. Test your installed window motor with the car on. That way you don’t drain your car battery. It happened to a friend of mine. 😊

    Great guide on what to do and followed word for word as I cussed a few times trying to unplug the switch(fell apart but easy to put back together), u do the handle(broke skin on my index finger) and my God the damned sealer gets everywhere! Other than that it was cakewalk. Now to do the driver side tomorrow morning. Fml.

    Mine just ... fell .... right into the door. At the time, and since nobody really sits back there anyway, I just popped the door panel, unhooked the switch, and tied the window clamps to the door in the "up" position, but I will have to fix it at some point. I may cuss a little less (at least, that I'll admit here :) ), but I appreciate the video on doing this.

    Why is it only the rear driver side one that fails? Mine failed twice in one year I recommend you by one at Autozone or Oreilleys in order to get a lifetime warranty on it. Because online might be cheaper but to get a warranty might be trouble

    Yaaaa budddy, I did mines 1 handed for real lol, i forgot that when I unhooked the bracket, the window came down. While I had tape on standby, knowing my luck, it wouldn’t hold and prolly come crashing down, then another expense lol.... just stuffed a couple tools under it and held it with one hand while the other I installed the part. Mine was a little easier. An 05 tahoe takes 1 bracket. If anyone wanting to do it, you must buy the $110 bracket from the parts store and not just the motor. I mean could be cheaper on amazon but didn’t want to wait soooo yaaa... and be sure to know which regulator you need. Rear passenger or rear driver. As their all different . You’re welcome

    • @B_HarTz
      @B_HarTz 4 роки тому

      Actually actually. I would take apart your door panel first, and see which regulator part you need first. They make 2 kinds. This as shown in the video and mine which is off an 05 tahoe

    The window regulator that you show in video has two runners that go up and down. But this 2004 Suburban I'm working on has only one runner that goes up and down. Regulators are totally different, so I told the owner you will half to go to the dealer to get the right regulator. Boy GM is sure nothing but a bunch of junk now days. Can't even make one regulator for one year. Got to use two different regulators for one year,,,,,
