The commencement of the transatlantic service between Toronto and London will foster Virgin Atlantic's connectivity in Canada especially with the forthcoming peak season.
Does the Virgin/Westjet codeshare work both ways? Can I take a Westjet flight from Halifax to Gatwick or Edinburgh and easily connect onwards on Virgin?
I said this when I was assigned Systems Eng for the A3xx (now A380) in jest - not a silly suggestion certainly for cargo and re-engine providing structure can take it, of course.
@@dailynewsofaviation6969 it is, it's designed to be able to take a stretch...the fact that Airbus won't do it is for other reasons, but the actual aircraft itself is easy to modify and update.... the Beluga can't work at all because of C of G.
Flew VA LHR-YYZ when it started operating back in the mid naughties. Didn't last long because of the 2008 financial collapse. It was a great flight, so nice to see VA back on this route.
Thanks for the news update DJ
I love the Beluga.
You can't get greener than good old Co2.
I am excited to see Virgin Atlantic coming back to YYZ! 💙🇨🇦
Great Video And Info

Sounds like a PR statement from the company 😉
Still think the last Gen Livery(1994) of CX on A330 is the best.
Thanks Dj!!
You make 1984 sound like another Century ago !! 🤪
😂😂😂😂
lol, he does
Re the Cathay aircraft in Alice Springs was it 85 A330s or 85 aircraft total as they had 777s out there as well.🤔
Nice to see Virgin come back to Toronto after a very short stint in 2001 (cut short by the after effects of 9/11).
I still wonder how such a thing can fly.
Oh not you again 😂
Cathay Pacific airways are more wiser now
When will the company Airbus Beluga Transport start operations?

I have a model of A-300 beluga sitting on my shelf.😊
Hopefully Airbus restarts the Beluga program
I wonder if any airlines are Interested in retired American Airlines a330s be it for parts or second hand use
So long, and thanks for all the fish
Virgin did the Toronto route year's ago but Air Canada British and Air Transet just putore planes on the route wis them luck
They should modify the Beluga for commercial long haul use.

Beluga is not to carry weight. Airplane parts are big but light in weight, so it is not possible to carry people
NO............just modify the 380.... with much more fuel efficient engines and if need be stretch it by 30 ft..... these mods are easy to do
@@malcolmmacdougall it’s not easy

I hope Airbus start selling the beluga

If we have any thoughts??? I live in China, I do not have any thoughts. 🙂
Hope this means reduced air fares on London-Toronto route
Does the speaker ever stop to take a breath? It's painful to listen to him!!

I dont understan why anyone would need to go to Canada. Maybe the refugees need a way to get there?
