Only thing that scares me about this game is a year later, Metaphor: ReFantazio; Vengeance Reloaded Royal Edition with no save transfer from the OG game.
Per a recent interview, ATLUS is moving away from Maniax remixes (SMT3 Maniax/Nocturne, SMT5 Vengeance, Persona 3 FES, Persona 4 Golden, Persona 5 Royale) and are going to focus more on DLC-styled expansions instead.
@@akkristor man that’s music to my ears. I was this close 👌🏾to buying SMT5 before Vengeance was announced like 2-3 days later. So glad I waited or I would have been pissed.

Why would you buy a separate upgraded game then want your progress from the base version on the new one
I know he's probably the bad guy, but that Louis dude is seriously compelling.
They did say in the AX panel that they want the players to see Louis as a sort of secondary protagonist, despite him being more of a rival ( not sure that's the best term, but we do compete over the throne, so ).

Atlus are really on a roll with both Persona 3 Reload and Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance, I hope Metaphor will succeed alongside them
Played both, SMT V Vengeance is mind blowing! already 130 hours since it came out

SMT V Vengeance is incredible. The new campaign felt more fleshed out than the base one.

@@Midori_270 Mostly yes, but it has some references to SMT3 (for example you can fight against SMT3 protagonist in DLC quest). So you can start right from SMT5.

@@samflood5631 the animes did but other than small battle phrases and grunts the protagonists never spoke in game.

@@DashingPunkSamurai Probably some kind of deal they have with Microsoft/Xbox, they get first dibs on all the latest trailers at the moment from Atlus. The Persona ports, P3 Reload and this game have all only mentioned being on Xbox and PC in their trailers, despite also coming to Playstation and Switch (in the case of the Persona ports).

Great implementation of the Trails through Daybreak combat in field battles
Yeah but better, trails through daybreak combat field are sooo clunky, and from what I have seen from this game the field combat is much faster as u immediately kill the enemy u don't have to spam the attack button.
Noticed there's a spell called Tarukaja at 1:15. Wonder if this game will be revealed to be connected to SMT or Persona in some way...
There are the archetypes Soul Hacker, Messiah and Persona which have to be direct references to the characters of those series

I really can’t get over the main characters design and how much he looks like makoto.
Hope the Protagonist has a somewhat given name/Default. But I also noticed in combat the player names aren't listed. Only their "job" of seeker etc.
As for the mystery final party member, atlus said 7? they've shown 6. I'm guessing Louis. Act 1 is getting to face him, save Prince. Before realising that Louis isn't the bad guy, cue bigger bad guy for act 2 and 3.
Hell, I'll even take a wild guess..The Prince is the real villain and Louis knows it so he tried to stop him, but when the player stops Louis, The Prince shows true colors/takes the throne and crown. Becomes main villain with underlings

Theyre literally using SMT Spells i saw Tarakaja
The game combines aspects from old games, which is why some SMT spells are here.
It's kind of a celebration of Atlus in general, since there's costumes for the protag and Bgms as DLC.
No point in changing them into something else

yes they use the -kaja spells but all the elementals and physical spells have different names. wind is cyclo, fire is bot i believe? theres even elemental physical spells, i remember seeing a physical wind spell. not sure if it was a slash + wind or just wind tho.

- Good voice actors
Cons:
- The shaking when on the board made me feel dizzy, pls have a function to turn it off!
- The UI system is beautiful and detailed but it’s hard to observe
- The animation needs smoother?

I feel like JRPGs do a horrendous job with story trailers they really are just long and exposition dumps that don't really do anything but just say a lot of words. But that being said this has been on my hype list since day 1 so I can't wait
