gives me 16kmpl in city and 20plus on highways petrol ....awesome car, driven till 140kph and its stable
i purchased last week zeta petrol. its giving me 16 in city with AC.... is it okay ?
The thing is Baleno at less than 900 kgs, is about 300 kgs lighter than its rivals. And people somehow, w/o using their brains, assume that lighter cars have lower build quality and low stability. This is not true, else super-cars and hyper-cars that are made from carbon-fibre shoud be even more unstable than these cars. You see, Baleno is based on the HEARTECT platform, which is an aluminium intensive platform. Aluminium is lighter and stronger than traditional steel. So you get more strength in lesser weight. Advantages? Better and nimble handling, quick to change directions and of-course greater fuel efficiency. If adding only heavy materials could make a car stronger, then cars like Mahindra Scorpio would have fared better in crash tests.

i booked baleno and waiting period will be 24 weeks, so should i wait for that or go for other car.. guys please suggest me..do baleno alpha apple music sysytem attach with any android phone??? and hiw wbout its suspension quality?? because i heard about rear passenger facing discomfort ??... i am confuse regarding baleno...suggest me i should wait and go with baleno or should go with i20 or ford ??

Why there is no back arm rest in baleno
I completely agree with the review as per Indian mentality. In India most of people still thinks that car means maruti. But frankly speaking If they will ever drive the car like Elite i 20, Honda Jazz.. they can experience the overall premiumness, comfort ride in long term. In terms of budget I agree that Elite i20 is on higher end but people from middle class wants to spend the money on car that will benefit them for long term. So think first what are your requirements, take test drive, compare the maintenance cost-in terms of the life span of spare part. Don't go with others review, you can take idea from them. If a car requires a service on 12000-15000km and another car require on 9000-12000km and the charges of service on both the car approximately same, then think which one is have the low maintenance cost. May be I am wrong but I personally feels the difference when I drive the Elite i20.

Wanted to know if baleno zeta has a good ground clearance?
The ground clearance of the baleno is 165 mm, which is decent considering Indian road conditions. Unless, your car is loaded with four adults and heavy luggage, the car should be able to handle most of the bad roads.
Hi Arpit. Nice review,.; unbiased and precise. Keep up the good show. I have a 2009 i10 1.2 Magna Kappa, bought first-hand in May 2009. I plan to upgrade to sedan some time in the fag end of 2017, or early 2018. I would like to know whether Baleno (preferrably the diesel-variant) will be a nice choice. It is a fact that Maruti vehicles always provide better fuel efficiency than Hyundai ( except the trash Wagon R) . Your valuable suggestion awaited. Thank you.

Oh yeah, that seems to be good choice. But is it good for city use? I am from Calicut, a city which is smaller than Kochi, with narow , congested roads on which I feel Ciaz would be a bit more than one can handle, unlike for example, a Dzire or Zest..

Raghu nath Well i live in Delhi and Ciaz gives me the premium feel! It's stability,it's suspension and its infotainment system,all of it is great! If your daily run is more than 60kms then you can go for Ciaz diesel shvs which gives a mileage of 28.7kmpl!
Thanks a lot for the kind words Mr. Raghu Nath. Apologies for the delayed response. The Baleno diesel has the tried and tested 1.3 litre DDiS engine, which is both reliable and fuel-efficient. You can go for it without any worries.

There shouldn't be any problem with the cabin. The seats are good and space too isn't an issue.

Bro how to lock or unlock steering
Once you've turned off the ignition, try rotating the steering and it'll lock. For unlocking switch on the electricals and try rotating the steering again and it'll unlock.

Hi. If you like the car then go for it and don't settle for something you like lesser. The car is worth the wait and is practical too.

Hi Antony. As you might have noticed, I said in the review that the Baleno offers good ride quality overall. The rear suspension does a good job of keeping the occupants comfortable at both, slow and highway speeds. Hope this helps.
Light weight alone doesn't make a difference. More importantly, the suspension needs to be well-tuned according to the weight of the vehicle. In the Baleno that has been done nicely.
