Perception is a huge crutch for these run way players. If perception got nerfed I think it would drastically help. I feel like I had to learn how to flank in SZ just because perception alone eats sidestep hits, it turns around at mach 5, it goes off on block, it eats heavies, it randomly hits you during rush strings sometimes. It's too strong. Anyone who says otherwise uses it as a hard crutch and knows it.
Hell no, we just need to get skill points slowly but we do need something KI free to counter perception, grabs should NOT be tech-able during a perception
I feel like a good fix for Perception merchants would be to give perception the same Stun that revenge counters have and revenge counter have a buffed stun and knockback, there’s no reason the defensive option that actually costs something is worse than the most free defensive option
Don't be surprised with the new meta. With the way the mechanics got shifted it's supposed to be more in line with the older budokai tenkaichi game, I think people fail to remember that sometimes though
I’d say overall the patch was good, but because ki is so precious, in true fashion, high rank players have resorted to whatever the easiest tactic to win is, which right now is charging and zoning and playing super passively, or outright just trying to spam supers, which is incredibly risky. To combat this, I’ve just been choosing world tournament. You can still zone, spark and be defensive, but the close quarters forces interaction. You HAVE to throw hands at some point. I’ve been seeing alot of success, because it turns out most folks don’t actually want to put in effort that cqc requires, unfortunately, and this results in more pluggers too. I think a good middle ground is to make Z Burst dash costs reflective of distance. Close range should be 1 bar, mid range 1.5 bars, and across the map should be a cool 2 bars to make things a bit more fair.
There was absolutely no reason why Z Burst Dash needed to be touched. Now everyone wants to play more passive. They need to revert the Z Burst Dash back to consuming only 1 Ki Bar.
@ I can agree with the 1.5 bars, that’s reasonable. I think the reason it was touched was because of the loops but then I would argue that you can literally Super Counter out of said loops.
Only complain i have is sometimes my Jeice gets stuck mid combo 🤨 Got used to the 2 bars for the dragon dash. But i hated it at the beginning. It slows down the pace of the overall fight.
i agree with the ki spam shit they gonna do it anyways but thats why dragon dash should still cost 1 bar of ki its one of the only ways to get close when they do that shit
Some guy just spammed ki blasts while flying backwards with wild sense constantly activated. Rage quit will decrease the less spam there is in the game. Bring ki sickness back.
This game is now uninstalled and hidden on my ps5 and will be the last dragon ball game I play thanks to its community. Ain’t have to be like this but it is what it is. Just bought Tekken 8 to play as Clive. Peace
You're right. You didn't have to come on here and beg attention. Nobody on earth cares if you un-installed it. In fact actually me i am glad because that means you WASTED 70+ dollars and are happy about it. I LOVE when people waste their money 😂😂😂
I still have it installed but I stopped playing because I realized that this game is not that serious. If I wanna deal with passive players. I'd rather do that in traditional fighters than a game ment to be played for fun.
Short answer : no it didnt "fix" sparking zero Long answer: it adjusted some balance issues, but truely, what is killing the game is it just not being a finished product in general. The content is lacking greatly to the point that the only things you can do is play ranked since there is no casual quick play and lets be honest, no one wants to fight against cpus in custom battle. They should've just copied bt3 1 to 1 and updated graphics. Bt3 had the balance almost perfeced, which sparking zero somehow fails at when it had the perfect blueprint from a 17 year old game.
My thoughts: Super perception needs to cost 2skill points. And grabs should punish perception. Super counter needs to cost 1skill point if it breaks a combo. All Supers and Ultimates should have a 25% damage reduction. Z burst dash nerf kinda makes sense to me.

Nah, I think it should be at least 1.5 just not an entire 2 bars. I could’ve sworn it was like 1.2 ki tho to begin with.
