Y'all!!! I am beyond honored by all the love and support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! This video was especially meaningful to share because I know that a lot of people don't have the same blessing of a supportive family and we wanted to celebrate that they exist! If you don't find the same support in your family, then please remember that your chosen family is just as important! You don't have to do anything alone. I am so happy that we were able to highlight the abundance of love and stability that I had in my life at the time; it made my decision and first year of transitioning much more smooth. Love you all!
You are an amazing human being and being trans doesn't change that! Take pride in who you are and rejoice in yourself! Loads of love from the bottom of my heart, Andrea!
Andrea, I have always felt such a calming energy from you and I’m happy that you get to feel calm within yourself. I am so proud of you and sharing your story. I am honored to be able to watch you grow into yourself. Lots of love 💖💖💖
When she said: "Then you don't really love all of me. You really only love what you want to love". I felt that. It's one issue I think many parents have and do not realize.
@@LaDominicana33 It's a hard situation, any relationship is a bidirectional path. Both have to walk towards the other. No matter how much you put into it, you cannot make it count for the other person. If they don't want to put the work that creates toxicity. Parents take for granted our relationship, and instead of educating themselves and growing together they expect us to just deal w/ it. Even if it hurts we must fight for us. Our health and happiness. I hope parents like this, see past their pride but most don't. And we have to make peace with that, because as long as they behave like that, they are not parents.
I love the realness of your conversation with her mother, she stumbled on your pronouns and expressed that she feared for your safety, but when she started talking about being your authentic self, and going to women’s events together, I saw so much love for you in her expression.
When Grandma asked her "are you happy?" i was gone, sobbing. That's all you need from the people around you - for them to love you for you and to look out for your own happiness
Your family home is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for bringing us into such a private space for your family or for bringing us along for this extremely personal journey.
I have an aunt that transitioned in the 70's I think. The reason I said I think is because I never knew that she was born a boy. No one would say anything about it. We loved her because she was cool. Lol. She was the only aunt I like to have babysit me. Lmbo.
My son is a transman that just graduated high school. The greatest moment is when an estranged member of our extended family stopped by the party to congratulate him. I told her, “Actually, his name is Alex now. He’s a boy so uses he/him pronouns” She didn’t miss a beat just turned back to him and said, “It’s great to meet you, Alex”.
God I love her family so much. That unconditional love and openness to accept her and love her while she is transitioning. This video made me feel fuzzy inside. Despite how hard the journey and the process is. Andrea, you have a family who will always love you and stand by your side no matter.
Also I wrote my first comment before finishing the last 20 seconds, but you are already a woman you do not have to have breasts and less body hair. You are who you are which is a woman named Andrea who is living their best life despite how hard it is to navigate in a society that has a lot to learn still.
Andrea's family is so beautiful. Their love and support is everything, and that they've, showed up, are jumping in and doing the work makes my heart happy. Congratulations, Andrea!
As a mom of a trans young man I want you to know first thank you for sharing your story. Also from the parent stand point please know that no matter how open or ready (we knew for a long time but waited till he was ready to come out) it's a bit more difficult for us. We in a sense have to let go of a child and welcome another. Also habit is a huge part of it. When you have called someone a pronoun for legit their whole life it takes some time to change that habit. They will get there. I promise.
I came out as trans to my mom when i was 14, I know how you are feeling right now, I love how your family supports you. I hope everything goes amazing for you queen
Never understood why people hate or attack on trans, gays.... let them be happy we all deserve to be happy. Be you be proud and live YOUR life. So happy for you beautiful.
I'm subscribing just to keep up with her journey. Andrea really seems like a beautiful soul, I don't know what it is about her that gives off that vibe but I wish her the best.
What some Trans people need to realize is while a family is trying to be supportive, it takes time to adjust to the new you. Don't be disappointed if they're actively trying to love you no matter who you choose to be. Give them room to grow just like you needed that room.
I love how you put this! Both sides need to be understanding. This is a change but know you're blessed to have that support from your family as so many others do not.
This is such an enlightening and beautiful story. I'm so happy Andrea feels comfortable enough to share her story with the world and educate us. I'm learning so much

I remember a trans friend of mine talking about the first time she got an estrogen shot. She said she felt this sense of calm and peace because she was finally on the path to living as her authentic self. I'd like to think that's why you couldn't stop smiling You mentioned being worried that you're not feminine enough. You are. I know passing can be important to trans people, especially for safety reasons, but I hope as your journey continues, you realize there's no one correct way to feminine and womanly. As long as you identify as a woman, then you'll always be woman enough at every step of your transition
Tbh my mom would never be that supportive. It would devastate her if I’d ask her to acknowledge me with a different pronounce. She doesn’t even believe in transgender people, she believes folks just “have way more free time”. I am so sincerely happy and relieved Andrea has this thoughtful loving family by her side. I’m wishing you only love, Andrea. You are a beautiful woman.
I am so proud of you! My heart is so full knowing you are owning your truth. You are gorgeous inside and out! Life is too short to be anything but happy. 💪♥️

Andrea, you're beautiful! Your family is so wonderful and supportive (and the hacienda is absolutely stunning) Much love to you on your journey, to living like your true self
I love that you are receiving so much support. Your mother has a beautiful heart. She means no disrespect using the wrong pronouns. For her, like you, this is a process. I am not using this word in a bad way, but give her time to grieve what she thought she knew. Once that process is done I think the support, love and pronouns will all fall in place.
Thank you! I truly mean no disrespect and it does take time. I was nervous and when I was taking about him was when he was coming out as gay around 13 years old. Then the second time as she... I wist I could've been clearer. This is a truly transformative journey for us all.
If my daughter wants to be a boy because her body isn't what her mind thinks it is, I still will love her and call her by the term she wants to be called. My love as a parent is the same like when you don't know the gender of your baby. Boy or girl or non my child is my child.
Y'all!!! I am beyond honored by all the love and support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Broke my heart because those are my parents with me and my sexuality. I vow to not do that with my own daughter.
