- A new method of update suppression has been discovered by Void0, "Class Cast Exception" Suppression or CCE also called Sulker suppression. In this video I will tell you all about it.

That's nothing compared to command blocks in survival though
@@O5MOit kind of is, the complications of them making the command block in survival is impressive, one of if not the most impressive things done. But it has no purpose, you can't use the command block. You can use an update suppressor however. Making a command block in survival the method they use can make any block, including barrier blocks, but also using the method they did to make command blocks you could also use the same method to make a, dirt block, which would still be more useful than the command block because you can actually use a dirt block. The command block remains unusable and is only used as their example to show that it can make anything, but the skill of generating a command block or a dirt block or barrier block is all identical. And the command block is one of the most useless, because as said I'm in very long ramble, it literally can't be used

You can also use update suppression to then connect two stacks of items so you never need to restock on them

I feel like the "it's really easy to crash or lock you out of your world with this method" was a liiiiiiiiiiitle underplayed... That seems like something you put as a disclaimer at the start of your video and definitely in the description. That's pretty vital information to have

For anyone reading this wondering if there's a solution to crash loops because you messed up and can't get back into your server, there is indeed. You'll need to load up your world in Amulet and remove the suppressed Shulker with the 3D editor. If it's a multiplayer server, you'll need to take a backup then copy your world files to your local ".minecraft/saves" folder and then run Amulet, before copying your files back to the server location.
What causes crash loops? Well, typically, it happens when the update made is not a player update, for example: you point the comparator from the Shulker into a furnace and then start smelting something. The smelting process is not a player action, thus... server crash. When the server loads back up, the smelting process tries to start again and server immediately crashes.... and the loop goes on. So in short, the only things you should be doing near a suppressed line, is either placing a block or breaking a block, anything else is a no no.
I have huge respect for people who discover these. They are like magicians, finding things in the hat that you don't expect to be there.
I get fixing bugs, but no average player is going to "stumble" across this. Just let the technical minecrafters have their fun mojang
To be fair, it can permanently lock you out of a world.
@@masondickerson9466then fix the crashes, also you can reasonably expect the technical Minecraft players to install a mod to stop the crashes or fix worlds where this glitch happened.

Update suppression will never be patched because there will always be some more mojank code that throws an exception if you look at it wrong

For people saying they can't get the world download to open, I had the same problem. Here is how I got it to open:
-In Minecraft launcher, click installations tab
-Click "New installation"
-Version, I used latest release (1.20.1)
-Select more options
-Under JVM ARGUMENTS where it says "-Xmx2G" change this to "-Xmx4G"
-Save installation, and launch from this installation
-You should now be able to open the world and grab a schematic
Its needed to note that this will expand maximum heap memory of java runtime to 4gbs, it will not work if you have insufficient memory (enough to allocate heap and for os)

Apparently the new snapshot broke this exploit, I really don't care, both because there are new methods already and one that's even more powerful that update suppression and I really makes us innovate so it doesn't get boring.

You can do this above 1.20.1 you just need carpet and carpet tis and enable some commands like the CCE reintroduced command. And also it won’t lead to permanent crash you can relog back in and your good

why are technical minecrafters so bad at explaining how things work. There's always a decade of things that they just assume everyone knows. If just one person could make a tutorial that teaches how the tech works, we could make use of it for survival worlds without having to download a world file and copy something block by block.

@@socks2423 Skill issue. No but in all seriousness, isn't the world download the simplest way to have literally anyone do it without any preknowledge of it? Here's the world, here's how it has to be built to work, the end. Explaining the block by block stuff, while interesting, wouldn't help that much.
In practical terms though let's be honest, most people who are interested in using this already have technical knowledge. If Bob hasn't made any technical project before then maybe he shouldn't start with the most recent state of the art update supressor. He who wishes to reach the top must start at the bottom.. or something like that.
Also you don't need to use the world download for a block by blocks copy paste, litematica exists, which again, anyone who will be making update supressors should know about and probably already uses.
@Kiririn_chan you've missed the point. It's not that it's hard to build. It's hard to troubleshoot things when they don't work because they don't explain how it works. If you play with some server mods or on realms where the game runs slightly differently, it won't work and you'd have no clue why it's not working. I want to know how the thing works so I can fix it when things go wrong. I don't want a block by block build instruction. I want to know enough that I can modify it to make it work in my worlds.
@@socks2423 It's not that straightforward though if you wanna have it work outside of what it was designed for which is very specific vanilla versions of the game. Knowing every nook and cranny of this machine won't help you at all if you try make it on bedrock you know what I mean. It won't help you make it in a version where the thing doesn't work, it's not a matter of familiarity.
Lots of people in comments always asking "does it work on spigot/papermc". You try it, if it does great, if it doesn't chances are the entire premise behind the design won't work on it.

But you must use chunkloaders for that.

No you cant, but you can easily create a new sulker were ever you want with the old one

And either way, for a near place, you just need a single suppressor for extend the bud lines, so what's the point of creating a new one where you already have one (except in MASSIVE perimeters)?
Is the system logout proof? Meaning: Could I use an update suppressor in 1.18 in order to build this one, and then update to 1.20 and use the smaller machine. Also does it work in the whole world as long as the system is chunk loaded, so one could build other ones in far away locations.

No, this use OOM suppression in 1.19-1.20 or stack overflow suppression in 1.14-1.18 for make this shulker (and the tiny update skipper it's from Nicnac not from docm)

What do you mean by being able to have supression in the entire server w/o a big buky setup? seems like u would still need a rail line from the big bulcky set up to wherever u wanna supress if u can't break/move the shulker.

You can use the shulker to easily replicate the setup anywere
looking for a method of moving the skulkerbox... its difficult to build a very long bud chain in 1.19+

Both allow block updates to be ignored but they have other interections that are differently between both.

so this isn't shulker suppression, it's massive OoM suppression and then you just daisy chain that into the shulker box, so why bother with the shulker box at all you already have what you want
It's a safer more reliable method, and if you are in 1.18 you can skip the big setup

About how long will you have to afk on the sync update flying machine to get this to work? I'm debating whether i should downgrade to 1.18 and do the classic rail suppressor or build the flying machine, which one would you reccommend? For context im planning on making jkm & cubicmetre's god particle farm in my own world.
that has been patched in newer versions, if you have the ability to roll back I would always recommend that this is only for people that cant

@@Igna778 I watched a video in which a guy farmed the God particel. He used the machine and then destroyed a furnace giving him the godpartical agter replacing the furnace he could repeat that process so in theory you should be able to dupe stuff like that right?
