Finally got some challengers to the Miura TC-201. Those results are nuts
The reviews I have read about these do not do them justice like this review does! Excited to see more about the P770 as well!
Our P770 Review is also live: ua-cam.com/video/8GNntfWbJ6M/v-deo.htmlsi=G_YEdPypUSOfsC27 These are about t blow your mind!
I got my combo set in August - P770 ('24) 4, 5, 6 and P7-CB 7, 8, 9. Absolutely love them.
Taylormade did some seriosuly good work on these this year!
Awesome review as well! These with the p770 are so hot right now!
Yes they are! We have much more to come before the year is over.
@@CoolClubs stoked to hear. The reviews will be cool to absorb! Once I have that new set of clubs though it might be better to tone it down with watching too many of the reviews. Otherwise, one finds the shiny new thing lol.
Good work. Keep it up
Mark, whatever you pay Jack, it's not enough!
😂 Thank you! We appreciate the support
CB's bringing the heat!
Know if you see these in the bag some greens are going to be hit!
The CB’s must be the best looking iron Taylormade have ever made I’m thinking 770 5-7 iron and CB 8-PW
Sounds like a very nice combination! Share your results with our subscribers if you get them. We want to hear real golfing experience to combine with our robot data.
I ordered the same combo. Coming this week. Can't wait!
I got this combo a week ago. I’m playing my fourth round with them in an hour. So far they’ve been great. Very satisfying on those good hits. My miss is usually on the toe side, and even those aren’t that bad.
Just found your channel. Loving the content. Is the results spreadsheet you show available anywhere? Hard to keep it all straight between many videos. Thanks!
Thank you for watching. Here is where we store the majority of our existing data for ease of comparison: coolclubs.com/iron-reviews/
In 2004, I got Rac MBs, and they were the best clubs I ever. I still have them but don’t play them anymore, although I might but them back in for a round later this year.
Get them back out again! This should be some inspiration.
Can you test this against the Callaway X forged iron 2024 from Japan? It is popular on LPGA Tour and Japanese tour.
I believe we will receive this head soon for testing. We will have to test after the main launches for the new year
Love the channel! Super curious about a robot test of the Miura KM 700s? They're in the bag for Adam Scott
We have not received this head to test, but as we do we will run it through the tests. Thanks for watching and participating!
Hey team, amazing job you're doing. One question though, how does a 90mph have a tighter grouping than the 80mph?
Thanks for watching. It is an interesting point that we discussed internally. Ball speed and spin react differently at different speeds. But the 80mph compared to the 90mph we also change angle of attack from 2* down to 4* down and believe this has some influence on the before mentioned parameters. This club is definitely aimed more towards the 90mh category with the 4* downward blow.
Thanks for testing
You are welcome, thank you for watching and participating in the conversation!
Oh man, I just found the Ping Fingerprint S, everything I have read say they are slightly more forgiving than my S55 irons, is that true?
We havent ever tested the S55 on the robot, but the BluePrint S is one of teh best testing irons of the year. I also personally play a set and can attest to incredible forgiveness for the style iron they are.
Very similar clubs to the ones I’m still rocking: The TM RAC LTs. Great clubs! Curious to see the actual difference and progression.
Awesome clubs! If you get a set to put side by side jump back here and let us know your thoughts.
I will check them out at the local store here in the Netherlands:)
Rac LT best irons ever still got them and the TP blades great combo
We hope these have as much success, they are pretty cool!
@@CoolClubs how do they compare to the new t100 lil more forgiving?
Make some easy comparisons here: coolclubs.com/iron-reviews-titleist/
@@CoolClubs wow definitely will be trying these irons after this review comparison
I don't like distance iron's. I am a high handicapper because of course management not because of ball striking. I am looking for something with forgiveness that will never come off hot unless I pull it with a closed face. So I am caught between the P770 and the P7CB. I really like the Takomo clubs as the price is awesome but they do not have a 3 iron.
If you are looking for consistency both of these options will perform. You can also blend these if you want a bit of both! Thank you for interacting with our community.
What would be your HDC range for these?
They said it's all about clubhead speed in the long irons. Seems like just a little hotter and more forgiving than a P7MC so probably similar category as T100 or T150. You could to a combo or even triple set with the P770 and P790 as a 15 or 20 index, depending on your ability now and the next few years.
We think although these were probably designed for up to maybe a 10 HDC their test results push that a little further into the low teens. There is possibly not enough real estate on the club for high HDC, and maybe the sole is a little slim for people with inconsistent low points, but these are worth a try up to mid/low teens... then as @lkae4 suggests, a combo set may broaden the horizons further!
@@CoolClubs Thanks much for the insight. That's quite forgiving for a forged iron with great feel. TaylorMade has made a big splash with this release.
Thanks for participating!
No mention about the long irons having two cavities machined in them for tungsten and a lighter material to help with CG ???? That would be "internal tech"
That is covered by the progressive CG term.
No offense but could you confirm/double check that you didn’t mix up the test results between the p770 and the p7cb? If I look at your test with the previous P770 generation the dispersion pattern / numbers look much more like what you are showing for the P7CB. Also it is really weird that the dispersion pattern of a forged solid body iron of the P7CB should be worse compared to the new 770s???
Good point. Their info also has the new CB being lower spin than the 770 on the 90 mph test which I did not find in my testing of both of them. I got to test both and the CB was 400 RPMs more spin for me.
Those P770s are almost too good to be true. It’s nuts
Double, Triple Checked by our Dr of Science Tom Mase. These are the correct graphing and numbers for the heads. Taylormade have just done something special with the P770 this year. The spin makes sense when you look at the shape and technology of the P770.
If you look at all brands across the board these are both setting a new standard in iron design, but the P770 seems to have some real magic.
Thank you for watching and participating.
Have no doubt we have confirmed this data.
This should inspire some swings at the plate in the fitting bays around the country!
Dr.Mase assures us that this data is legitmate.
Our standard deviation in these tests was also exceptional.
This is why a mix of human and robot data is important. Hopefully our channel inspires people to go and get a good club fitting and see the resuls first hand relative to their swing characteristis.
The 3rd generation of the Mizuno T-Zoid ?
Maybe one day we can test some of the older clubs for comparisons.
Hello, from France.
Well there is no photo, I am disappointed with the results of this club in which I had hopes that they would be better than the Cobra King Tour, and not at all...
But strangely they have a big problem with distance management for a forged cavity back, a defect that is usually found on hollow bodies...
The P770 would ultimately be a wiser choice, the P7CB is beaten in all areas...
For me at the moment it is Cobra King Tour 2023 or P770 2024 which offer the best stats for an index 0-12.
Thank you for participating in the conversation. You have some valid points. Remember sole design and design visual will provide players different feedback too. We try to provide as much information as we can to help people make a decision.
Your 7 iron launch is 22 degs? LGPA avg is like 18.5, PGA is like 16. That can’t be right and still have a 7 iron travel 153yrd at 80mph chs.
We have a consistent test at 2* down at 80 mph and 4* down at 90mph with 0* path and 0* face. We then hit the geometric centre of the club face. Assuming you are looking at an LPGA Average... they may hit down more, strike the ball in a different places on the face and have different shaft lean angles.
Our test is the same every time, for every club we have put through its paces.
We are not trying to compare to the LPGA average.
These numbers are collected with multiple launch monitors and verified by a Dr of Science.
This not an opinion.
I don't doubt these are great irons but you guys sporting TaylorMade polos makes you go "hmm..."
We are a brand neutral fitting company performing research we have shirts, caps and many other items from every brand. It’s considered polite to respect a brand when you are talking about their products.
