Heavily inspired by them. Tool takes progression and descension then integrates them. Nothing progresses without subtle descension. Such is the essence of life and existence. We must break through our evolutionary existence and progress into godliness.
This comment deserves more than 34 likes. Well said. You are damn well right! These types of artists are very few and far between these days. I grew up on Pink Floyd and yes.. this is definitively, Floyd quality. God Job Tool !!!!
They killed it that night. Maynard sounded amazing. The scream during the grudge just sent me over. I was here and this moment was one I’ll never forget. This song is very dear to me and when they played it, I just let go of everything that has happened this past year. I did special K and I had a very special moment.
it's amazing how calm the audience at the tool concert is. Usually at concerts the screams of the audience almost cover the music, instead at the concerts of the tools it is as if the fans listened in reverent silence absorbed and enraptured by the music.
I've said it a million times and I'll say it again, Descending is the greatest Tool song of all time. Hearing it live a few months ago had me in tears. So beautiful, so majestic, so timeless and so Tool. I will forever love this song ❤❤❤
Europe is delighted to have TOOL around for a good few weeks…..saw opening concert in Cph…..next London on the 10th and Berlin on the 15th….Hattricks should be done in style 🤘 …..there are bands and there is one TOOL band…..epic is an understatement
Sounds incredible!! First time I’ve seen Justin play a Music Man Stingray - he must’ve recorded this song on his ‘Ray instead of one of his Wal basses. That gong hit blows my mind every time!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Hi! All I can say is Wow! Besides the fact that all of those colors are beautiful! Great job by the guys by the way! Okay I said more than Wow but it’s just absolutely amazing!
Although I really appreciate last 4 minutes too, I can never agree that it's the best they offer. Sound-wise like maybe, musicality is undeniable. But the best they offer for me is certainly a strong impact of lyrics with it's deep meanings and how the lyrics/vocals lay on top of the music perfectly, that's what I'm after.
That was fucking badass one of the best experiences I've had...and yes eY3 mean watching the video, this recording and the lights and the whole shabang...magic is what they do and music is how they do it..✌🏻🧡😳🌌🙏
I thought the band's position on you filming them in concert was pretty clear: not allowed! You think you respect the music but you show disrespect for its creators'
Yeah, but they are also raking in cash for each show while I pay irrational amounts of money that I really can’t afford to see them live, so, they can be pretentious all they want, I’m going to record the show. Especially since I’m not making any money off it.
@michaelg9359 it's more orchestral, organized, and has more flow to it. A lot to take in but eventually it clicks (for me and many others it did) At least you said pneuma is an exception tho cause that song is just wow
Tool is the Pink Floyd of our era; we must cherish every second of their existence; and appreciate their incredible contribution to music
Indeed. Tool is a gem. Deep music. Tool and Primus are my favorite bands of all time. I can tune in, turn on and drop out.

I keep hoping to see good footage of their Cleveland performance when Maynard did his restaurant skit during the second half of the song
@Danger Randy just saw this 😂🤣

If I hadn't experienced this song live... I would have never understood how beyond infinity this performance is... 💯

Section 116! I'm still coming down from how good this show was. We had a great view of the band but not the visuals. Thanks for posting this!!!
The way Adam’s Wah pedal gave his guitar a voice at 7:49 was 🔥🔥🔥 can’t wait to see them March 3rd. 🤘🏾

I saw them live recently in NJ. This was my favorite song of concert. Just incredible how it builds up and those lights and lazers!!!!!! Just awesome!
agreed, wasn't a huge fan of Descending until I saw it live in Washington, DC. Mind blowing.
@@whitnasty1 yep...agreed!!! I love the song on the album too.
i was there and in Philly. They killed it !!
I was at that show. It was the highlight of the evening 😌
No One Fades on Tool, Literally, No One.
You can feel what Danny feels when he hits the gong. Goosebumps
Can you even imagine being this good? A national treasure.
I saw them in Manchester AO Arena on 2nd may 2022 and this song was definitely one of the highlights of the show.
I saw them there to, was my favourite song they played
i don't know how this guys microphone didn't blow out because of how loud this shit was live.... 💯
I could listen to them all day. Love them!
Thank you very much Tool Family..

There is nothing like a TOOL concert. Mind Blowing !!
One of the best songs live ever.
Such a beautiful song and live performance!
saw Tool at moody last night in Austin. was completely stunned silent through this whole performance. Never seen anything like it in my 37 years

Wow thank you to the entire crew 😮❤❤❤
The last 4 minutes of Descending could very well be the best TOOL has to offer

I went to two shows last time (Chicago and Memphis), and _still_ didn't get to see this song live. I sure hope they play it this time around... 🤞
Beautiful 💜. Thank u for sharing ❤️🤘

Because you're human. If this doesn't hit you, you are empty inside.
Always 1 Tool that HAS TO TELL WHAT THEY DID THAT DAY

Sounds like wings for marie and a poor man's version of lateralus mixed together. Tell me I'm wrong!?
Gorgeous
What do they call the 7 sided star
Wow, lots of mistake by Danny, which is totally fine. Just unusual. We all have bad days.
why they are getting rid of the Vic Dana series, is just beyond silly don't do it VIC!
Guacamole is better with cilantro

Why not both? Plus a little lime and flakey salt, yummy

Nope
the new album is boring except for pneuma
and the 5 other songs
Great album
