Although I really appreciate last 4 minutes too, I can never agree that it's the best they offer. Sound-wise like maybe, musicality is undeniable. But the best they offer for me is certainly a strong impact of lyrics with it's deep meanings and how the lyrics/vocals lay on top of the music perfectly, that's what I'm after.

Indeed. Tool is a gem. Deep music. Tool and Primus are my favorite bands of all time. I can tune in, turn on and drop out.

Heavily inspired by them. Tool takes progression and descension then integrates them. Nothing progresses without subtle descension. Such is the essence of life and existence. We must break through our evolutionary existence and progress into godliness.

Yeah, but they are also raking in cash for each show while I pay irrational amounts of money that I really can’t afford to see them live, so, they can be pretentious all they want, I’m going to record the show. Especially since I’m not making any money off it.

@michaelg9359 it's more orchestral, organized, and has more flow to it. A lot to take in but eventually it clicks (for me and many others it did) At least you said pneuma is an exception tho cause that song is just wow

@@DryMilks So I had a look myself and it seems the video playing on stage was most likely made for their live performances. Only video I could find for The Czar is a visualizer one which just had the album art

Prices were thru the roof for Their Tour with Ghost, and Spiritbox…I would have been more willing to spend the $ if it had been Mastodon headlining instead of Ghost

@@andrewdipietro9050 ghost is huge so any tour involving them is gonna be pricey especially one featuring mastodon as support and spiritbox opening. Hopefully eventually tho we get mastodon sole headline tour where they can play a long ass set

I’ve only seen Mastodon twice, but the crowd seems very similar to seeing Tool. I think people have trouble feeling it, because so much of their stuff is offbeat.

@@leeroden7900 could be, but I saw them headline the Observatory (I posted a video from there too) and the crowd was pretty stoic there too

I was right at the front by Troy (in Tucson) and I was going crazy. Lots of younger Ghost fans that weren’t too familiar with Mastodon to be fair. A lot of them really enjoyed them it seemed. So hopefully more fans were made 🤘🏻
