Many many thanks. I was going to change my noisy inefficient Ideal boiler as the water was never that hot or the radiators. I have had two companies have a look and service the boiler but nothing changed. I go onto UA-cam look at your site and follow your instructions and in less than 5 minutes it’s now quiet and good as new. It’s the old adage if you want a job done go to the experts.👍
Can't get the rads hot enough despite CH knob set to max, get message saying "set point 45 degrees controlled by room stat" burner goes off when rads reach 50, turns on again at 40, then just cycles on and off like this all night and rads never get warm enough. Goddam pos, anyone got any ideas? See video on my page, uploaded tonight. Thx

If a boiler has a flame loss message then you reset it then it makes a kettling and banging noise and seems to work ok when the noise goes away But then it eventually goes to A lockout message is it safe to keep resetting it? It will come on but then go back out later on is it safe to keep resetting or no? Please help disabled person currently sitting in freezing cold!!????
Ive been faffing about for a while. I do have hot water. But no heat I've bled radiators a couple of times. And emptied the collector pot in the boiler and given it a good shake and swill turned on and off a million times. Reset the boiler.... It reads "normal boiler operation going to standby" I've no thermostat so it isn't that Any ideas, suggestions other than contact my letting agency. I think it will be late June before they get back to us if I'm lucky
Hi Brett Just subscribed to your site. Have you done any videos on changing a control knob on an Ideal Logic + Combi 24 please? The plastic spindle has broken on the Summer/Winter/reset control knob. Got a new control knob (part 177387) but not sure if I can simply take off the section covering the knobs on the front panel, slip the old knob out, and put a new one in without having to take the pcb's out? Any thoughts? Thanks Brian
Seriously need help as its freezing here with four kids, Boiler keeps saying low water pressure, fill to 1.0 bar bleed radiators contact installer, but the pressure gauge is fine, I even drained a radiator to make the pressure drop then topped it up again, happened this morning, but after a few hours it all worked fine again, now it's gone off again. Help can't afford to call someone out.
Bret you are a star... now I know how to delete the 12 months service message... I had 2 plumbers to service my boiler and they didn't know how to do it... make you wonder ... appreciate your video and best of luck
eileen sims is the selector switch in heating and hot water position? Tap & radiator symbol. If it is and the heating is not coming on you may have a problem with your thermostat not communicating with the boiler.
Thanks for the video - I have this boiler. The hot water is working fine. However, the central heating hasn't worked and the message I get is "pump overrun". Any ideas?
Just moved into a house and have this boiler. After a month boiler started banging and pushing water out of overflow Pipe. I turn water off at stopcock and it stops. ... turn water on and its fine. .. But starts again after a week or so. Any idea if it's an expensive fix or what it could be?
Hiya Lee, sorry for the late reply the 'filling loop on the boiler is open' this means cold water is pushing into the heating circuit and causing it to over pressurise which is making it 'blow off' 'overflow' outside. under the boiler on the right hand side there will be two little taps towards you one black one blue with a pipe connecting them both these taps need to be turned off. keep us updated

My boiler has been serviced but still stays service due how do I reset the service notification please (same boiler)

I have one but I can't get it to come on at night even tho I put time on, do I leave it on run on dialer for it to come on at night thanks

@Elemental Alchemy "it's the water pressure, even if it looks fine!" I suspect this is done on purpose by the manufacturers to mess with our heads!
