Nice! My daughter for her senior year auto shop project just wrapped up swapping a 6.2L from a challenger hellcat into her c10 build! She just took everything apart to send off for paint, but she ran it primered and sanded all last year haha.
Dude I can’t wait to see this thing run. I know it will turn out great. Shoot if it was running on propane it should be even better since it burns cleaner. Good luck.
That's funny u say that...I scored a l96 off of ebay that came out of a schawns delivery truck that ran off of propane, it came with the propane fuel rails and all, complete motor for $850 delivered to my door...I tore it apart and put a lsa cam in it, flat top ls2 pistons, 64cc ls3 heads and ls3 intake with new bearings and oil pump. ....it's still sitting on an engine stand in my garage, freshly built never ran, I built it right after I finished my similar 370 lq9 built the very same way, but I switched to a cam motion level 3 ls3 cam so my house wouldn't stink when my car is warming up in the garage and I'm in the process of adding a lsa supercharger as we speak
I guess since it’s going in a car you can’t run that intake. Going to lose some torque with a different intake. Just started this same project for my 74 C10
Yes you are correct, we will lose some torque with the Ls3 intake. We are hoping to over come that with the TSP cam kit, ported heads, and a bigger throttle body. That sounds like a nice project truck.
Injectors and rail are for propane I believe, I haven't checked their part number to see if they are rated for fuel. But If you want I can add them for an extra $100 for the rail and injectors.
