    Vivous refers to the wood members in the ceiling as "studs". Studs are located in the walls. The members in the ceiling are called either joist or trusses.

    Wait, where did the wing thingys on the center plate go? You show them being attached to the center plate, but when you attach the center plate to the TV, they're gone?

      The wings are optional depending on your TV's VESA mounting hole pattern. When the pattern is 200x200mm (8" x 8") or smaller, the wings aren't used. If your TV has a VESA mounting hole pattern of 300x300mm (12" x 12"), 400x200mm (16" x 8") or 400x400mm (16" x 16"), the wings are attached as shown at 1:44. There are also a couple other ways to install them for some unique patterns such as 200x300 and 300x200, so if your TV has a mounting hole pattern like this, please contact us and we can send an image showing how to attach them for this: vivo-us.com/pages/support

      The "optional" part would be helpful to include in the instruction manual (that comes in the box), no?@@VIVOus

    Can we use toggles to mount straight into the ceiling’s drywall?

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  3 роки тому +1

      This mount will need to be secured to at least one beam in the ceiling. Drywall alone is not strong enough to provide reliable support, and could eventually crack and drop the mount and TV.

      We're sorry this is happening! Since you're getting 3 double beeps, you likely have the previous version with the IR sensor. We would suggest first performing a belt reset as shown in the following video: ua-cam.com/video/MzLJHz4TZrc/v-deo.html
      After this is finished, reset each mount by holding the 1 button on the remote for 5 seconds a total of 6 times while aiming at the mount's IR sensor. It should automatically retract fully, then drop down until the mount has determined the minimum height. Once that's finished, press the OK button to reactivate the mount (it will raise to the ceiling and then be ready for full operation).

    Would i need to put a receptical box for the TV to plug in?

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  3 роки тому +1

      Doing this would make the setup look much cleaner, but it is also possible to plug it into a nearby outlet or with an extension cord.

    How does the TV get power

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  3 роки тому

      Some of the common methods are to install an electrical outlet in the ceiling near the mount, or to run an extension cable through the ceiling or a channel attached to the ceiling.

    What was the mount screwed into on the ceiling? Right into the drywall?

    • @VIVOus

      This product needs to be mounted into a wood stud or a concrete ceiling. It was mounted into a stud (under the drywall) in this video.

      VIVO my stud is only 2” wide, can a screw a 1x6 to the stud and mount the tv mount to that?

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  4 роки тому +1

      If mounting in line with the stud, it will work fine to use only the front and rear holes on the mount. If it's perpendicular to the stud, mount the 2 "keyholes" to the stud, and then drywall anchors can be used with the other holes for stability.

    from what I can see it does not require going up into your attic to mount anchor bolts. However it looked like you were in the attic "assembling your center plate" judging that the wooden planks do not match your in home flooring at the first part of the vid(Step 1) . I am confused here. I do not have the unit nor do I find any place to download the PDF for the installation instructions. Are the drag bolts alone with no anchoring enough to hold against the Force of Gravity for long periods. Like 10 years? I was worried it would as my attic is too low for a human being to getting where my living room is. It has got a bunch of HAVOC crap making it impossible to work in above the den or bedrooms!-even installers of my new replacement AC complained about it. I really I don't want to have to pass up a ceiling mount as my TV is going over in a corner beside the back window so I can look outside on occasion while watching. otherwise I am out of mounting options as my computer desk is on the other wall and corner hutch.

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  3 роки тому

      The mount can typically be installed to the ceiling without having to go into the attic. To make sure it has enough support, it will need to be mounted to a stud in the ceiling. If in line with the stud, use the center holes in the front and back of the mount, and if perpendicular to the stud, use the "keyholes" on the sides of the mount. These will provide the main support for the mount and TV, and for the remaining holes, drywall anchors (not included) can be used for stability. The bolts we provide are large and very strong, and will easily hold up for 10 years or more.

      @@VIVOus thanks for the prompt reply! the wall is a corner of my Den north wall is solid 8 foot for about 2-3' going east, followed by a large window going east. but the perpendicular wall(west) is only a foot drop from the ceiling with pillars followed by a raised wall from the floor(the kitchen boarder) about 3 foot to 3.5. best I can describe not being a trained carpenter. The stud option for a corner mount is limited but I will use my stud finder to locate the ceiling joists.(if those even work on joists) typically how far are they spaced? I really have no way of going into the attic to find out which direction they are placed, either north/south or east/west. the joist and stud wall arrangement is not always parallel seeing how I have seen this in other unfinished homes before siding is placed. I know the garage is a north/south but then changes to another arrangement past the AC on the south end. the problem is the AC is in the way and I can't see nor crawl to find out what is on the north east end where my den and living area is in relations. attic being no taller than a crawl space. Make sense? LOL. reason I mention all this is, as you say it will have to be mounted where only one side is on a joist the other will have to be drywall only joists are pretty far apart. being the TV is a 47" and weights enough to nearly be a two man job. and this is the firsts time I do a ceiling mount I am just a bit leary mine have always been wall mount. drag bolts for mine now are about 2" long. I am definitely going to try this thing out though. I have no other option but a ceiling on that side of my Den!

      @@fucheduck Typical stud spacing in a ceiling is 16" or 24", but in more unique room shapes, that can sometimes vary towards the walls. The best we can recommend doing is to use a stud finder to figure out the location and direction of the ones in your ceiling, then mark it lightly with a pencil to make sure you have the best possible idea of where and how everything is setup.

    As a follow up to the comment below, how did you mount to studs in the video when studs are only 2” thick? If mounting inline with a stud, only two of the six screws will actually be in a stud (top and bottom) and the other 4 will be directly in the drywall. This is safe for 65” TVs weighing 40-50 lbs?

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  3 роки тому

      Yes, this will be safe. When mounting to studs, if the mount will be in line with the stud, use 3 to 4 screws in the front and rear center holes. If perpendicular, mount using the two "keyholes" on the sides. Although the mount is strong enough to hold the TV of the rated weight limit, additional screws can be added to the other holes using drywall anchors for additional strength and stability.

    Terrible demonstration. For one. If the stud you’re using isn’t wide enough to support both sides of that bracket on the ceiling you will have to use a toggle bolt on either side, second those extension arms that were assembled and magically disappeared are optional. You want to fit that bracket to the back of the tv before your determine if you need extensions

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  7 місяців тому

      The video doesn't demonstrate it, but for a single stud, we typically recommend mounting in line with the front and back center holes. Since the front holes are close together and the back is a slot, it's possible to install 4 screws here. If the stud is perpendicular to the mount, the two keyhole shaped mounting holes (1 on each side) are able to provide the main support, and the other holes can be used with drywall anchors for stability. Both ways provide safe support for the mount with the maximum 66lb weight limit.

    Don’t bother with this mount, They use a proprietary control which means you cannot control it with any other device except their cheap little remote no drivers no anything but pitiful excuses, it’s basically an electronic paperweight not worth the time of using unless you want to have a desk full of remotes. As far as in AV integrator goes this is a cute nothing
