Correction: Dragon's Breath already reloads in 2 ignitions (since it starts with 1x), but the passive increase should allow it to auto-load faster theoretically, and you can still use shoot while using a charged slide melee but the timing is more annoying and will likely be patched
Something I have not seen anyone mention is that The ignitions from Dragons breath can kill you. I don't know if it is a bug or is intentional.

@@musicaltarrasque Is not the ignitions i dont think , at the end of d breath's full cycle it explodes much like a lasting impression rocket thats the biggest offender of self dmg , aside from that the little scorch projectiles also deal small amounts of self dmg.
The reason that it mentions "impact" buff for Nighthawk is because it doesnt buff the explosion it does after killing an enemy.
That is exactly the reason yes. They specified "impact" to mean that the target you shoot takes increased damage, but the AoE detonation is NOT buffed, but it's not like anyone used a single-shot Golden Gun for crowd control in the first place.

I was little confused because I thought the ignition damage scaled from source, is it not an ignition?
@@TheAegisRelic ignition damage doesn't scale with the source of ignition but it does benefit from a dmg buff to said source, in other words, an ignition from incinerator snap and an ignition from a solar grenade deal the same damage but if you use something like Winter's Guile then it will buff the ignition from incinerator snap, also the kill explosion of Nighthawk isn't an ignition, unlike Caliban's Hand which explicitly states kills with the knife cause an ignition, Nighthawk seems to just have its own separate explosion given its description.

wormgod caress + warbanner + winterbite has been my go to for Coil. It's insane, you're basically permanently hitting empowered melees/super melee.
Do u use the glave melee?

Been using this with solar and Rhulks’glaive, it’s nuts. Banner is probably better tho.
You can only Grenade spam on Verity’s under certain situations and team dynamics. Apotheosis is a straight Radiance spam for 6~ seconds after casting your super. And you can spam your melee. It’s been great with Dragon’s Breath for staying at x5 and feeling like I’m getting ignitions faster. It could be a reliable way to boost some DPS during a solo dungeon clear.

For dbreath, base charge time for fuel passively is 6s, meaning 12s + ignite fully charge the fuel and auto reload. The catalyst buffs the passive generation to 3s per stack, making your ignite + 2 stacks ready in 6s total, rather than 12. Very strong difference as it becomes really viable in swap rotations as it can more comfortably keep its damage around twice as often, or simply remove the downtime.
Another function that i've anecdotally felt while using the gun, is that it tend to fire out more fuel when stuck to an enemy, rather than a surface

Verity's is mainly overrated bc nade spam gets destroyed by weapons
Apotheosis peaks at temporary nade spamming (for a short duration), so yeah both are true
He’s not wrong. Verities is used for speed runs and is niche use as you need ads. But it’s overrated as some people think you can use it in higher end content when getting stacks are much harder.

Peregrine buff is so much fun for one tapping champs over and over now but idk how useful it would be for speed running and such
Getting its full ability recharge on mini bosses makes me wonder if there is a tractor peregrine on kings fall daughters strategy.

I got a slideshot Crux earlier today. I can confirm it has 10 reserves with full reserve mods, but there's something really weird going on with trying to shoot it in slides. I think they might have fucked up slideshot when they made the change to sliding and shoulder charging. Either that or the low handling is just making it really awkward to fire.
I also got a clown bipod roll yesterday, it seems to get three rockets every time with clown. Seemed okay, but nothing groundbreaking.
I just encountered this bug during a blind well.
the damage decrease from bipod takes all the fun out of the perk :(

I suggest looking into the Titan class Glaive. It doesn’t have ctm, however the bubble that is put down is a stacking damage buff, and is arguably better than bubble right now

dumping whisper and then hot swapping to cloudstrike is easily the most realistic total damage dump in the game. We'd have to get a new boss that allows that but definitely something to note for the next day 1

One thing of note that I found out while in crota. Apotheosis Veil affect becomes proceed when you cast a relic super. I was doing this the crota sword but I would imagine it also would work with the aegis relic as well. still not super useful but good to know I guess. could be useful for templar maybe or 3rd encounter vow
Hey, I was wondering if you saw and had any thoughts about the "Sect of Force" perk choice for aeon armor (I didn't see it in the vid)? It now gives a 20% buff to allies and didn't know if this conflicted with any other damage stacks or if this is now another extra 20% you can get.
It stacks but doesn't do anything to bosses, champs already melt really fast so idk if it's that useful

Amazing video. One request: Can you provide a brief ELI5 recommendation guide for your average raider/dungeon player looking to maximize personal damage? For example, whats a basic weapon to use that's fairly easy to manage? Leviathan's Breath is just aim and fire, preferably with a Divinity bubble. Bait and Switch Apex predator is a little set up, but nothing too complex. Something like shotgun swapping and weapon/exotic swapping during boss damage would be beyond your average player's comfort level.
One option is like a Solid/Better/Best recommendation for certain types of bosses. I Sherpa Crota for clan mates, and for Ir Yut, I recommend Leviathan's Breath, but also say that Taipan with FTTC and FL is a decent second option. For Crota, I recommend Lament as a baseline, and something like Bequest and Goldtusk for players who can handle a little more complexity in setup and damage.
Your recommendations are awesome and I love the spreadsheet details.

Ngl setting up for bequest is just making sure Crota is in the right spot, and Goldtusk is just making sure you’re in the air. Lament is arguably the hardest of the 3 lol

They should make 12 punch a little longer to make it usable with shoulder charges, maybe 3.5-4 seconds(or 2 melees) for enchanced
I think while Apotheosis isn’t insane for dps from a total dmg standpoint being able to spam fusions and even the snap melee is quite decent and it pairs really well with dragons breath with all the ignitions your causing verity requires some setup so it isn’t always ideal
Scatter w/ enhanced Overflow and enhanced battery will indeed load all 18 shots into one magazine, it rules.
Hey Aegis, gotta say, always appreciate your videos. Got a question if you dont mind. When it comes to GMs, what do you say to new shards of galanor in comparison to celestial nighthawk? Like one giving the option to ultimate super often versus the other one being more damage oriented?
I would say neither is really that applicable in GMs, but if I had to choose one, it would probably be Nighthawk? I'd use Ophidia over both

The throwing hammer nerf completely killed my will to use solar titan. Bonk builds still have a risk/reward that Bungie doesn't understand, having to get within melee range in content like GM's is already sketchy enough- and now the only true viable melee build is strand titan
Bungie: "Titan is the melee class"
Also Bungie: *Goes out of their way to nerf every way where melee was viable with one subclass exception*
Watch Strand be eventually nerfed too because it allows Titan to go melee in some very risky scenarios (also reminded that they nerfed Woven Mail and Banner of War this season too)
Oh please. Banner + synthos is still broken as hell. Imagine complaining when titans are still the best at oneshotting enemies and sustaining nearly trivializing content. Put on peregrine greaves instead and tell me that bonk hammer nerf mattered.
Not really a risk when you have infinite restoration lol, just look at salts gameplay during day 1 crota.

@@TerraTheWise Clearly you don't know how to read. I literally said the only viable melee based build is strand titan i.e. Banner of War which still holds true. Also, Peregrine only works against non-boss enemies- champs and minibosses. Consecration seems to be what every solar titan is migrating to with good reason, Bungie wanted to make bonk hammer feel worse to use and they certainly exceeded at that. Maybe next time read the full comment before projecting your opinion, thanks ✌
Dragons breath's only use is as an anarchy replacement and its amazing at it, it's pretty busted in solo content and alright in a team situation

People are saying there they nerfed 3 armor charges and you should just run 2 now. Can you explain what happened here? I can’t find any info.
Also for celestial nighthawk, do you want to use kinetic surges and not solar? Does the same apply for star eaters?
Bungie patched 3x kinetic surges buffing the damage of Golden Gun, but for some reason 2x still works. Solar doesn't affect them, but Kinetic does, and it does apply for either star eaters or celestial

For whatever reason Goldie still gets a damage buff from 2x surge, just not 3x.
They do need to be kinetic surges.
Now that Goldie is back in the spotlight for DPS, I don't think surges will apply to Goldie for too long. I'm betting it'll get nerfed halfway through this season or when final shape drops.
not the youtuber but yes run two kinetic damage armor charge buff thingys, not solar, and make sure you are on a kinetic weapon before popping goldie
apotheosis veil also works on threadling grenades. Thats 15 more bugs running around after you throw needlestorm.
Unfortunately, threadling grenades do very little damage
Crux Termination can also get envious and surrounded which, while situational, does more damage than Cold Comfort now that Balli doesn’t stack

Ive been using apotheosis on crota cause im usually well/tractor guy so being able to supplement my damage with verity lvl regen on fusions for crota has been nice its not maximum dps output it easier than doing the heartshadow swap and gives similar numbers imo
Ideally your Tractor player is on Berserker but even on warlock double pellet will be better than spamming unbuffed fusion grenades

Doomed petitioner is really good imo since enhanced precision instrument gives it 30% buff compared to Briar's focused fury's 20%, they also both have surrounded so I'm not sure why Briar's would have an advantage there. (plus reconstruction is better than rewind let's be honest)
you don't use focused on briars, you use enhance surrounded in the situations its mostly ran in for its biggest buff

I don't know if it is ideal but in dungeons or solo I have been running a solar primary to get radiant and all the buffs that comes with this season, Dragons breath, and scatter signal. Putting up some wild damage numbers on bosses.
What do you think about the Hunter glaive exotic arms Triton Vice with the new buffs?

Synthos buff lasts for 8 sec after no longer surrounded, which is pretty generous. Not sure how this compares to 1 more refresh for the last add + meter decay time on Wormgod.
It does but I still feel Wormgod is more consistent after using Synthos for a while
I think the reason i want to use apotheosis is mainly cuz its a weaker starfire warlock situation. If im a warlcok my team is going to ask for well regardless, so i may as well try to squeeze some damage out of my super as well

I think Dragon's breath is really good right now. definitely not meta. but dragon's breath+fusion rifle is extremely consistent and easy to do while also doing solid damage. unfortunately i don't see the dragon's breath catalyst doing much for it's swap dps. unless it increases both it's passive regen and also makes ignitions restore an extra stack. but it's rare a catalyst is a straight up upgrade to damage
Great video but do we know alredy if the dmg Buff from the Äonencult(the exo arms evry class has, i dont know the exact names right now) exos are stacking with anything?
The weaken effect on a targeted miniboss stacks with everything, but I don't think it's very useful

The rockets are the same as last season + Crux, and if you mean the subclass, stasis is not very good right now

I wonder if the origin trait for the seasonal weapons have such a low % on charge rate reduction that unless you have it extremely long, its barely noticeable?
I noticed it did nothing for the bow either and Im hoping its a bug. Imagine if the bow got draw time from the origin? That may make it worth crafting

I'd rather use Doomed petitioner than cataclysmic personally, you still do a lot of damage + you don't have to worry about a perk you don't even see the timer because of too much damage buffs on the screen.
As for dragon's breath I don't know what to think about it, I saw a clip of someone shredding the ogre of grasp with eremite and DBreath and still have rockets on him like it is very good for dps and ammo economy, but can this combo compete on a contest raid for a 30 sec dps if your the only one using it ?
If you're not going to abuse FTTC or HR/Surrounded stacking there's no point in using an LFR over Levi or Whisper

Always a reliable source of what actually matters for damage as usual Aegis-but since we have 7 months without a dramatic change in the meta, I had a question for you pertaining to well of radiance. Bungie mentioned in the twab they would be looking at it (specifically the invulnerability), and I was wondering if there is any value in running a warlock in a Day 1 scenario if they just nerfed it into the ground. Assuming survivability isn’t an issue, Would strand titans and golden gun hunters be strictly better in most scenarios for 6 person damage phases? Is the utility of something like Stag Rifts or Strand Warlock DPS worth running the class for?
Not Aegis, but I'm wondering how someone can even answer that question if we don't know the specifics yet. Like, if they cut Well's duration in half, guess what--everyone now just runs twice as many Wells. Right? If they effectively remove it from the game, I'm guessing players will just opt for other forms of healing to survive dangerous DPS phases. Healing nades, banner, stag healing rift, maybe that healing auto rifle frame they were talking about a while back...
@@life-destiny1196 Yeah ur right there is no way to know specifics, but you already touched upon my main question which was basically takign inventory of every warlock specific healing during dps, and if it's even worth running it at that point. But as you said, without a complete look at the sandbox it is basically impossible to anwser the question until final shape. The Recharge rate, duration, DR, healing, and Damage buff could all be tuned in different ways - with some being more damaging to the super than others.

Yeah but like I said the only place I see Apo being used is solo damage with like DB if Bracers aren't an option
The only thing left in the game that give your ability energy for doing DMG now is the arc titan aspect that gives traces with pulse nades everything else bungie has transformed into on kill instead of on DMG
So in short, same meta as before. Replace blade barrage with celestial golden. And keep an eye on how dragons breath finalizes it’s place in damage setting?

Yeah it should but only 5%
If I shoot DB with cata at Ogre, I can get three Eremite shots off before swapping back to DB with max fuel, this was without a grenade or melee, so it autoloads pretty quickly just on its own

Blade barrage can have higher damage than celestial going up to around 800,000 while celestial was capping out at around 760,000, even with that pyrogale is hotting for more than both
Blade is only slightly higher, not significant and the DPS is much higher on pre-popped Nighthawk
Didn't The whispered breathing perk for the first worm shot get a buff? It's a scalar on the crit multiplier, and that one shot does a hell of a lot of damage

when they mentioned the shoulder charge/wind up melee nerf, it was due to pvp as you could still 'one shot' guardians with it if you managed to do even a pixel of damage during the slide. so of course the answer is to nerf the mechanics and not nerf the damage inside pvp. (this also affects, arc hunter and arc warlocks slide melee abilities)
I have my catalysts done on dragon breath and it is a little faster but not sure on numbers

I believe they specified "impact damage" because it also explodes when you get a kill and they probably werent interested in buffing the explosion damage.

@@Aj-py8en Nighthawk: Precision final blows reduce the cooldown of your Super. Modifies Golden Gun to fire a single, high-damage shot. Targets defeated by that shot give you Super energy and explode.
You might be thinking of Ember of Combustion: Final blows with a Solar Super causes targets to ignite and creates a Firesprite.
@@littlelogan wow would you look at that! You posted the descriptions and turns out I was right! It was a fragment that caused ignitions and not the exotic! It would be silly if you tried to correct me when I was already right wouldn't it?
Tested on a titan, so no super skate, and have no friends to properly test, but got a vanguard sword with valiant, and I'd swear valiant and nadir stack.
I've not seen proper test nor theorization about that, so i assume no one is even looking into that, but correct me if that's not the case.

How 'bout those Peregrine Greaves? 1HKO Master-Level champions with infinitely refreshing shoulder charges. Also, though almost certainly not meta, you can smack a boss with shoulder charges over and over again (maybe stick them with DoT weapons in the meanwhile?). Sounds stupid and may not be much, but anything that's "You get a 300k damage melee and it instantly refreshes itself on hit every time" has gotta be worth checking out.
Definitely something worth checking out for roam content like GMs (this video is more focused on boss DPS)

Honestly with how good strand titan is I dont mind hammer nerf but with it I can no longer go braindead mode and start throwing hammers at blueberries

@TheAegisRelic so As of right now. Hawk exotic is easier and better in most situations including master content and without atifact mods
I feel like sunbracers with sunshot are the way to go for warlock for now outside of raid bosses. Someone can correct me on that but none of the other builds I've played around with seem to be worthwhile.

Arc warlock using cold heart and vesper is pretty good to. I use that mainly because i find it more fun then sunbracer spam but use what you enjoy unless it’s day 1 raids
with devour active you get scatter nade back in 5 kills
If they want to give Titans a lazy hammer nerf i believe they should also get a lazy buff in the form of it working with 12Punch again, just saying.

Would Horseman and Rain if Fire make Crux with a mag increase (like Envious, Bipod, Recon, etc), Horseman, viable for burst damage? You could dump Horseman, Icarus, dump Horseman, then Crux spam to wait out the Icarus cooldown, before repeating Horseman spam.
This was the first idea I thought when I saw this rocket but, now that I’m thinking about it, sticking with just Parasite would probably make this niche role useless.

I tried 3x1 surge, the only things I haven't tested are Foetracer/Sanguine stuff

thanks for the video, when you talked about apotheosis veil you mentioned verity's brow.. Verity's requires you to kill enemies with your weapon first and the recharge is not that great unless there is a teammate near you with verity's. you have to share the adds though. Apotheosis is simpler, you just pop well and u have 8000% increased recharge rate for 8 seconds. Verity has 250% and then stacks 10 times for 5 seconds I think. I'm not sure. So if I'm not mistaken apotheosis is a bit better because verity's requires a setup of killing adds. Enlighten me please.
The idea is that if you are doing grenade damage, it should be significant enough that it is worth using over just shooting your weapons
Apotheosis doesn't buff grenade damage, so your output is not productive unless your grenades are being used to do something that interacts with your weapons (for example, speeding up Dragon's Breath ignitions) otherwise there is no reason to use a grenade damage exotic other than Verity's Brow, which doubles your damage per grenade

Biggest nerf so far has been the 1-2 shoulder charge change, such a lazy and poorly thought out nerf, much like the throwing hammer, to build diversity. All for the sake of nerfing shotgun shoulder charge in crucible, which isnt much more effective than just shotgun punching in the first place. If theyre close enough to shotgun shoudler charge, theyre probably close enough to just shotgun melee you.
