Well, what can I say that I haven't already said many times before. Ok, Jacob and Josh are both getting better and better and tighter and tighter from thousands of miles away. How do you improve when what you have done together in the past is the best out there by far and as close to perfect as you can get. I have to say that I really don't know? I would have to guess that its a lot more practice and polishing of your skills combined with incredible love and determination of what and who you want to become as you move forward. So where does that leave us now? It leaves us exactly where we were already at, but, with a big giant exclamation point next to it!!! This is the best cover of this song from start to finish to ever be recorded and put on the net in the entire world. Jacob is improving still which seems almost inconceivable!!! Jacob is the best Van Halen cover guitarist in the entire world, Still. Although drums are not my specialty its obvious that Josh is absolutely amazing in his own right and has to be considered as one of the best drummers covering Alex Van Halen that there is. lastly, they make an untouchable duo when it comes to covering Van Halen songs from any era. Again they have done it. Perfect execution combined with perfect sound, tone, and crunch, with all the timing and feel of the original, mixed as well as it can be and delivered to us for our enjoyment.

This is why I quit playing music. Young people don’t appreciate the time and talent it takes to be THIS GOOD. They have these MPC machines and a laptop computer that makes all the recent techno-hip hop garbage we hear at the clubs nowadays and think they’re musicians.
It’s rare to see today’s kids put this much effort into playing such great music. Brings a tear to my eye to know a few of them still appreciate the work and dedication it takes to be. THIS GOOD !

Wow....These guys managed to nail this VH "deep cut" so accurately. The drummer even captured all of AVH's very unique drum fills, which isn't easy.
The drummer never ever gets a firm handle on the parts... he isn't keeping correct time and struggles greatly.

Which is a chore in itself. Alex's snare was as unique as his brothers guitar work.

That Riff .......the whole thing ......... SO not traditional riff style even now. Notice how it steps forward & layers onto the last part,moving an additional note each time. - Eddie was playing Heavy Metal & Alex was also , it was DLR that made it feel party/poppy feel, the Music was Mteal though and Eddie played with a Metal feel & Metal aggression & Metal sound. - WGAF if he smiled all the time & made it look easy,thats how good he was. he loved what he did.

Wow...you both did a fantastic job covering what I think is one of VH's greatest rock songs. I remember 79' (sort of) and this particular track was one of my faves from VH II. Just outstanding!

Guitarist has good chops but timing / feel is not "in the pocket" at all. Work on your timing, listen to players who's rhythm is really "in the pocket", absorb and internalize that feel, then play by always keeping a part of your awareness on that timing being "in the pocket". Listen to guys who have amazing timing like the bass player Stuart Zender for example. Listen to the bass parts on Jamiroquai's stuff, especially how bass and drums are "in the pocket". Alex and Eddie had that "in the pocket" thing as well. I don't hear it / feel it though when I watch your video here as the guitar is not in the pocket with the drums. So work on that timing and feel! Paying too much attention to licks or on doing flashy moves does not help your timing. Happy rhythm practice!
