This is THE song that changed my life in 1973. I was a child pianist in my 8th year at New England Conservatory of Music playing classical piano. Heard this song. Had no idea what or who it was. Quit the piano, got guitar for my b-day, still didn't know who the band was. Then heard 25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago, life changed again. Found out1st band was Yes, but didn't know if the song was called Fragile or Roundabout for like a year. Played guitar every day. Walked into big music store. I wouldn't leave til they hired me. Got the job after 1 year. Started selling and fixing guitars. Fixed as many guitars as I could so finally quit stores and opened guitar repair shop 44 years ago. Haven't stopped since.

My first impression before I pressed play was that they look like a collection of ragamuffin superhero musicians about to take on one of the most technically challenging tracks by one of the world's most technically competent bands and this would not go well.
    And it didn't.
    It went brilliantly.
In fact it was a real shock to the system.
    Every little thing was perfect.
However this performance raised more questions than answers for me and that's a good thing.
How did they make it look so effortless and relaxed, how the hell are they this good and they haven't appeared on my radar before this morning?
And what would have happened if this lot got hold of an original song of this calibre and released it before anyone else?
So I did some research and sought out a couple more of their performances.
Have you heard their rendition of "Owner Of A Lonely Heart"?
Breathtakingly glorious and as precise as the orginal.
Just when I was about to give up finding a new band of real musicians in a world saturated with fast track talent show fodder a band like this comes along.
Now there is hope and without hope you cannot start the day.
But with that hope comes confusion - when I need my next Yes fix, do I reach for Howe & Co or Band Geeks?
The only possible answer of course is both.
Will there come a time when Band Geeks become superstars on the world stage?
    It can happen . . . .

This is so good. Even better because we now know how difficult this is to do. The way i see it is that the payoff for the musicians when playing live together is immediate and "in the moment" , even during rehearsal. What I am starting to feel with this type of production is that it is closer to making a record in the studio where the "work" is in recording the parts and the "payoff" is when the final video is released. This is one of the songs that reminds me of Phoenix, ‘95-‘96. Thanks for the memories. All of them.
