I'd like this, some more stretches or solo drills would be cool too. Just something to work on a off day or post class
Yeah man this is great
Thank you this helps so much
Those butterflies will have you able to lay on your back and touch your big toe behind your head. That's a killer stretch..... I loved it I did everyday for 4 years when playing football. So when I got into high school I didn't stop and continued with stretching. I cannot tell you how many times it has saved me from pulling a muscle
Thanks for these. I'm going to give myself afew more weeks till I think my rib is healed up.might as well focus on stretchs. These are nice ones to do while watching tv or reading.
Dude I feel you, I just returned last week due to a bruised rib, I can finally roll at 85% but no knee on belly! Lol stay strong you’ll be back in no time!
@@notionwaves1867 I've been doing kickboxing with my son which is after bjj with no pain. At home I had my son pin me down then did escapes without incident. However i was very protective. I actually was framing well being so protective. So that's one positive. However he's only 140 pounds and doesn't train bjj. I'm thinking of going back tomorrow. I did buy a new isami gi for my father's day gift and a nice rash guard im itching to use. Also I bought afew gordon ryan and danaher instructional I been watching the last month.
Thanks for the upload. I'll attempt to do this everyday and will update after some time if I remain consistent.
Dude you are my new favorite guy!
Tip from a yogi: Pull your foot and toes towards the same side knee to protect the knee joint in the figure 4 position! oss!!
this also helps to keep your knee safe while going for a triangle for example
@@EvolveNowYoga what do you mean with 'pulling your foot towards the same side knee'?
@@ColonelFluffles you should always get your feet into dorsi flexion when performing a movement that puts a lot of stress on your knee joints
For example: when you are in the figure 4 stretch flex your top foot
Hope this makes sense in text form✊🏾🤙🏾
thank you!
@@EvolveNowYoga I get it now, thanx my man
Thanks, seriously needed these in order to keep up with trying to pull off all your 10th planet techniques.
Now I just need to get down to 115 lbs to touch my toes.
No more corn dogs with mayonnaise for me.
Yeah gonna have to pull back on the corn dogs for sure 😂🥰
Very good, I'll be doing this in front of the tv tonight! 😂
Very helpful. Thank you
Coach with the authority stash😤😤
Brandon youre the man your frames video transformed my game overnight im now crushing the blue belts in my gym and im no stripe white
Soooo helpful! Thank you!!!!
Beast mode!
Needed this. Thank you
I have a long ways to go with theses
That's how we eat our popcorn!
That advanced TV stretch would definitely explode my knee haha
Yeah you def gotta work up to it!
Reminds me of Eddie slipping his meniscus on JRE😬😬😬
Can’t even do the beginner of tv stretch lol
I have a bad knee . Mountain bike injury. Wonder if I can do this
Osss to this brah
How long do you hold stretch
I want to relax into it and stay there for a while.
I'll try not 2 break a leg with the 📺 stretch
Very cool. How long did it take you to get to the higher level of the stretches?
A couple of years before I could get into those positions. And just continued to improve over the years by staying active with it.
How do you get your knee to not explode in these positions 😂
The torque goes into the knee when the hip cannot rotate correctly, either internal or external, the goal is to progressively work towards the advanced position not force yourself into it because you won't actually be stretching the muscles but instead putting stress on the joint ligaments
@@knyghtkrawlr this is exactly correct. Never do something that stresses the knee. These stretches are all about the muscles in the hip.
What's before beginner? Asking for a friend.
The only thing i hate about these shorts is not being able to save them for later reference
If you go into my actual channel, you can click the shorts and you can treat them like normal videos for saving, commenting, etc
@@brandonmcninja thanks for the tip
You can book mark the page. That’s what i did
what about the eddie bravo stretch? aka sorcerer
You talking about the Lotus?
@@brandonmcninja yeah that thing
I don’t do that one personally. Hurts my knees
How many beginners did just fart in rolling Saison??..🤣🤣🤣🤣
I've been trying to get my heel to my forehead but am worried about damaging my knee. Is shin to the chest good enough?
U got the answer here u see it's only about likes ....no commentary's ....they not beginners they advanced stretches 🤣🤣🤣🤣
In what position?
@@zerolibertas5993 dude, can that shit. Brandon has helped me a couple times personally, on Facebook and here. Let's see you answer every single comment, bloody hell kid.
@@jacket2848 OK anyway i don't care 😘
@@jacket2848 i think he helped u with your wife too 🤣
I wish I had this flexibility
I’m showing you how to do it. Just stay consistent!
I'm not to flexible I'm a Greco-Roman guy all upper body. Looks like it's hurts 😕. But I'll give it shot.
Up
i need to stretch daily
Absolutely
This is why so many jiu jitsu players have demolished knees, backs and hips.
Because they stretch?
Even when I have been out of shape and stiff these stretches have been a go to for 3 decades. Blessed with natural flexibility. Wish the gyms around here weren't overpriced amateurs.
I dig these stretches... but, the reality is this: there are many people for whom this level of flexibility is NOT possible.
I don’t really believe that to be honest. My flexibility was garbage when I started. Much worse than these beginner level stretches. It just takes a lot of time and effort to get there, and most aren’t willing to put the work in to accomplish the goals.
Brandon is right, it just takes persistence and time. The human body can adapt a lot over relatively short periods of time and these are not abnormal ranges of motion, just uncommon
@@knyghtkrawlr ... if it's outside the norm, it is, by definition, abnormal.
The idea that everyone has the genetic potential for abnormal flexibility is as ridiculous as the idea that everyone has the genetic potential for abnormal strength and speed. Reality exists.
@@brandonmcninja ... your flexibility mat have been garbage, but question remains as to WHY it was garbage. Was it garbage because of actual limitations created by your genetic potential, or was it garbage because you didn't focus on it.
Whether or not you agree with my factually accurate statement isn't relevant. You genetics determines the limits of your range of motion, and this is NOT debateable.
@@smashleyscott8272 i think you missed the content of my comment, it is NOT an abnormal range of motion; speaking from a human physiological stand point. Just because statistically most people don't have this range, due to lack of stretching, sitting all day, doesn't mean they are incapable of it. Yes there are people that have abnormal potential, this level of flexibility is not abnormal, put in the work and stop naysaying
