Hey boss man my sc400 still shifting hard when going into drive...now that I have new ignition coils should I put the so called repaired ecu that got the catalytic converters glowing hot..I'm not sure if I should do that since it messed everything up
The description says the fuel pump was the problem...but you said you went to a junkyard and got a new computer so which one...a new computer will not fix the fuel pump...so which one is it...by the way your very smart to know how to test all these wires gosh ...great job and good catch with that car please make some more videos with this car I have sc400 1994
The description says the fuel pump was not working and it really was not working not because the pump itself, but because the computer was not powering it. As in the video the fix was to replace the computer. I have 2 more videos to upload about the car. That's my own personal toy. Thanks for the compliment.
@@DallasAutoDiag love the toy and I got mine running baby it was my fuel pump after 8 years of sitting in my driveway the wires came off the fuel pump inside the gas tank..the wire was just hanging...and the fuel was orange looking took a Stanley vacuum cleaner you know the small one that sucks up water and sucked all that bad fuel out..new alternator and battery...now waiting for 4 oxygen sensors from rock auto...should be here in 4 to 5 days..

I forgot the name of the company. They are pretty popular on eBay and they repair for many cars. They did not fix mine though. They said it had some kind of oil in it or some I don't remember. Just search on ebay and make sure to read reviews before choosing.
@@DallasAutoDiag These cars their ECU's will give out ( the capacitors leak ), when this happens you get all sorts of issues, one of the common ECU's to fail is the ECU controlling the Fuel Pump, if you bypass its control module and apply 12V constant, you will start the car (at least the fuel pump will always turn 'on' when key on) This is a common mod to help poor idling and starts on these cars. It's not ideal, but it gives you life.
Where can I get the pin layout for the ecu and the wiring schematic. I just got a reprogrammed ecu but I’m noticing one of the wires coming to the original ecu is diff gauge look like it was replaced. Before I swap I want to be correct
Hi buddy I changed the fuel pump some brand called true value..when I put the key and turn it to position 2 I can hear the fuel pump making a wining noise and it stays on I should only hear the pump suck or engage then quiet down but the noise stays on..should I have gotten a denso
My 1994 sc 400 wont star up, it cranks but wont start up. I opened the intake at sprayed starter fluid and got it started for a couple of second. But To keep it running some one had to constantly keep shooting starter fluid in the intake mainifold while I cranked the car. I’m assuming it’s the fuel pump, could it be anything else?
I wouldn't say the fuel pump. I would probably say the fuel system that the pump is a part of. I also had the same symptoms but my pump was fine. It was my computer. Watch the video carefully or show it to someone with patience and a little electric skills to test the 2 wires going from the computer to your fuel pump ecu which also could be another reason for a no start condition.
i have the same sc400. is it supposed to make a sound when you turn the ignition key to the run position? i don't hear the pump engage! the car has been sitting and the battery is dead. it usually starts with a boost jump but now just cranks no start. battery is dead as they come.
Catalytic converters are glowing red car sounds like a one cylinder car and I just got the ecu done from auto computer solutions on ebay did they fuck up..they wanted the original I sent them the original but the ecu that was in the car was okay car ran fucking fine I just thought hey let me them the original so it got here I put in car now shit is glowing like Christmas and sounds like a lawnmower
I'm working on a sc400 with the same problem. I tested the fuel pump connecting the pins on the odb connector and the relay conector and the pump was working but the car still don't start. Do you think the problem would be on an ecu?
Watch the video minute 16:30 I show the pins you have to check to see if your ECU is giving power to fuel module. Also minute 20:00 I get some readings also at the fuel module itself. All u need is a voltmeter. You can get one as low as $10.
@@DallasAutoDiag I watched another video where pins +B and FP were connected and the engine started. I made the same test but the car didn't started. Then I plugged the pins on the relay but the engine didn't started. The fuel pump did work in both test but I'm still not sure the problem is on the FP ECU.
My 1994 sc 400 will start up but turn off when driving it to long, when I touch the break the headlights would blink or look it would stop working, someone told me it was my fuel pump ecu but I’m know sure do you know what my problem might be?

Sorry to hear that. Contact them and explain to them what exactly changed after you received it from them. Try to document videos and pictures. They should correct the issue with no charge. They might messed up a soldering joint or bridged something when attempting to repair.

Hi if you were to put those 2 wires the wrong way the 2 wires in the fuel pump will it work at all...just wondering
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks
Would you have been able to start it applying direct power to the fuel pump?
I don't think I tried that because it's module controlled unit. I know some others have done a bypass to it. I'm not sure how safe and reliable it is.
