I was going to start with changing the ECM (since this looks to be the problem on most internet cases) do I need to reprogram the ECM (only the Dealer does this?). So after a center amount of time (like 11-12 hours) my whole sc300 would not turn over at all. At first I thought battery issue got a new battery wasn’t that thn I was thinking my fuel pump wasn’t engaging later down the line I learned it was an ecu problem so I just bought a new ecu and did this. I should have sent my ecu to get repaired instead of getting a moderately newer one. Know I know

Changing typical sensors rn (tps, isc/iac, afm/maf, o2) but if i change all that and car still runs rich and dies at low idle is that a ECU issue? also my friend tried to scan it at first and the CEL was tweaking out and flashing super fast. is that supposed to happen? even he said usually that doesnt happen unless ecu is going bad

I just got a sc400 and the car blows the spark plug#30 when started..when running, the engine jumps for about 5 secs and then check engine light comes on..what could this be???

@@TaninAutoElectronix Does my ECU need a grounding strap? I have 1JZ-GTE Twin-Turbo swapped my SC300 and none of the stock grounding points line up with my JDM ECU. It starts and runs now, idle is still not perfect but it’s only had one heat cycle and no miles put on her yet - just forward out of the parking space and immediately back in. I can just build it a smaller 12g jumper wire from the ECU mounting bracket to where the USDM ECU mounts. Will that be OK? BTW - I’ll be filling out a work request to repair my old ECU. I’m big on having spares for everything on all my old turbo Toyotas. Parts are becoming difficult to find these days.
Hi sir I sent my ecu to a company called SIA or also called ECUREPAIR from ebay they sent mine back to me with my money...they said a had severe circuit corrosion...I opened it up and there was no signs of any corrosion...but anyway they said no one is able to repair or rebuild can you guys help or do you sell a remanufactured one please

Never heard of that happening. The 92-96 ES300 ECU still needs to be rebuilt if it hasn't been, it suffers the same issues and damage.
Try it with the changer unplugged

What if when you jump the pins the cel stays solid? No flashing, no codes, won't idle.

My Lexus 300 won't idle and when it does it back fires whenever I try to give it any gas

How do you take the bolt that connects the harness to the ecu off? Mine just spins but does not tighten or loosen, just spins?
You will need to loosen the bolt while pulling on the harness at the same time. Let us know if this works for you!
Why do some of the sc400 gauges look good like this one and others have more of a yellow backlight?
The yellow backlight is the OEM bulbs the brighter white backlight is when they have been upgraded to the LED bulbs.
