Installing a Turner Motorsport Turbo Inlet Pipe on my BMW M2!
Вставка

- In today's episode, we install and review the Turner Motorsport Turbo Inlet pipe for my N55 BMW M2. This mod will help to maintain higher boost levels and add increased durability over the factory plastic tube. In addition it will help to provide a smoother flow of air from the intake to the turbo. The install was pretty straight forward and moves us one step closer to becoming full bolt-on.

Install vid was on point. Nice peace of mind knowing you’ll be good pushing more power in the future.
Great dyi and explanation on what the inlet does. Build is coming together nicely
Great install vid man! Reminds me installing mine on the f30 years ago lol 🙌🏽
Awesome content as always. 🍿🔥
Appreciate it!
Brethen bless up for the tutorial. My stock 1 completely ripped after car was tuned
Does the engine cover not hit that oil line on the passenger side of the engine block? Mine keeps pushing the cover up and then it hits the hood lol
No issues at all with mine, I would reach out to Turner and see if they can send a replacement otherwise maybe you could trim the cover to fit flush
this turbo inlet doesnt have a sound resonator like the factory one right?
To my knowledge no, it’s a straight through restriction free design
The link says F30 N55 chargepipe, but the models fit show M2, just making sure before I order that this is normal?
Yes it fits, the N55 engine in the F30 uses the same bolt-ons as the M2
@@MotoGearTV Gotcha! I want to get the ARM FMIC and chargepipe too, but the turner inlet pipe is back order. Is it fine to be without that but have the other two for a little while?
Yes it’s fine, I had the intercooler and chargepipe on my car for a few months before I did the inlet pipe
Thank you for the video! I have a slightly unrelated question but just looking for anyone that might have info to help me out. I am in California. The M2 that I just purchased has a cold air intake that is not CA compliant so I can’t get the car smogged. All I need is a stock air intake from the first gasket you loosened up the the air filter. Do you know a way of figuring out the BMW part number for this? I would appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you!
You can try searching for BMW part no. 13717857606. Let me know if this helps!
@@MotoGearTV I literally JUST stumbled upon this part! They call it the Intake Silencer which is what made it so difficult! Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. It seems you were on the right track. Now I just have to figure out if it has exactly what I need and nothing else. I saw one that was similar but I think it included the sensor or something like that because it was way more expensive. I’m thinking this part should not be too expensive since I don’t need any sensors. Thank you!
@@Trash_Panda_Manifesto Hey brother, also in CA here with a 2014 435 xdrive, looking to get the turner cold air intake which isn't CARB compliant. Did you have any troubles getting the car smogged? For instance, did you try with the noncompliant and they told you to fix it? or did you install the stock airbox before trying? Luckily I've been keeping all my stock parts, so if I need to keep them for smog and just run the noncompliant bits on the track, that'll be fine.
Did the inlet pipe have an effect on the sound? 👀
It’s very hard to tell especially with my intake
What spacers are you running on your m2? Love the car!
I’m not running any spacers currently but when I had stock wheels I used spacers from Motorsport Hardware
@@MotoGearTV what size were they?
12mm
There is no pressur on That Side
Only Chargepipe is the Boost side
