I'm watching too much UA-cam and whatnot streams. Couldn't sleep, took like 2 benadryl. Had a dream that Bry's comics and ComicTom's channels had a knife fight like West Side Story.
Great list. I also think giant size X-Men #1 is still one of the most undervalued books out there today when you consider the number of first appearances and the importance of this team.
This was actually pretty useful to me. I have been collecting comics since before you were born, but I didn't know why certain titles were worth more than others. Thank you.
I am really enjoying watching your past videos...I collected comics for years and sold my collection about 5 years ago and now am looking to buy cgc favorites and keeping things limited...keep up the great work
Dude these videos are perfect for me. I just started collecting comics and coins. But I got 2 off of the list so far in about 3/4 weeks in now. All your videos and what not auction are awesome that's so much
Great video, as always. Can't argue with that list. 👍👍 🔥 🔥 There are two things I would add for new collectors.. and u know way more than I do about comics, so there may be a reason u didn't mention this.. one is the significance and price difference of newsstand vs direct.. and that Batman 423 has 3 prints and to make sure they get the first print for investment.. or any print if they just like it for the cover art since the cover is pretty much the same. Thanks for the videos. I consistently learn something when I watch👍👍
WOW! I am really impressed by your analytical approach to collecting with an investment angle. Even my Wife thinks I am doing something good by investing in comics!! Thank you Bry!!
Great video. Loved the content, definitely something to think about. Long time collector myself and I agree with you on if you are new to collecting graded is the to go. 😎
Good recommendations. I've had most of these and sent them on their merry way but my Claremont-signed Wolverine is going to stay wiith me for a while. Maybe. Time to go check prices...
Great Video, what's funny is I just recently found your channel and started to watch your videos, then one day I inadvertently bought a couple of your books, it had your COA in the packing. I just thought it was a funny coincidence.
Cool video once again. I’m working on acquiring Wolverine 1-4 again (swindled from me about a decade ago). ‘Wild that McFarlane is involved in half of these
You nailed it with this list!! I've got 6 of the 8 books and multiples of them all! They've been solid investments for many years now!! -- And as you pointed out, they are very liquid! -- Everybody wants them, and always will! Get the 80's books in high grade!!
Bry. Thanks for the video. I noticed that you suggest GPA...but doesn't that only cover graded books? For collectors who buy and sell both raw and graded, what do you suggest they use for a guide for value? Thanks for your content!
Yeah they only do CGC sales. I wish there was a better raw book sales platform but the problem is condition, hard to report when opinions of grade vary so much…I just use ebay
PCGS Morgans, pre 1933 gold especially Saint Gaudens 20s and pre civil war branch mints. I personally love the 5s. For Morgans I highly recommend Q David Bowers Morgan Dollar book. To really understand where oppurtunities lie one must understand the history of how the supply hit the market. It is a fascinating story.
I just received my very first cgc comic in the mail, a 9.4 Batman 423 McFarlane comic 👍🏼😄 super cool to hold in my hand and see up close, my very first slab

Wait I had that same dream
🤣
When you’re a jet, you’re a jet Til the last cigarette
@@GlassShardFilms till your last dyin day
I think that actually happened at sdcc
GP Analysis just does the price for graded books, right? What do you use to determine a good price for raw books?
Yeah just CgC, I use eBay for raws
Some of these books are $$$ and I get why you are suggesting these however I would like to see more modest suggestions, from 1 to 8, for “starting”.
Great list. I also think giant size X-Men #1 is still one of the most undervalued books out there today when you consider the number of first appearances and the importance of this team.
Agreed. It baffles me every time I see one for sale🤷🏽♂️
It's incredible how many variants that SpiderMan #1 has.
Great video. I'm just starting my comic collection so this is an ideal video....more like this please.
This was actually pretty useful to me. I have been collecting comics since before you were born, but I didn't know why certain titles were worth more than others. Thank you.
I like the way you presented this rundown! An honest review of where the collector should be buying these grades.
Thanks for the video. Glad to see I already have almost all these
Great video. I remember picking up ASM 252 and Secret Wars 8 when they first came out. Still have them and recently graded by cgc.
Always great videos. And love that I can count on accurate information
Just got my first key comic(although it might be a minor key), it was the first appearance of Spider-Punk!
Nice!

Another solid video, you have given me the bug to attack my 2500+ collection from the mid 70's to early 90's
Dang, I have all but two - Hulk and X-Men. Guess I was lucky to be a Spider-Man fan. None of my books are graded but I doubt any are 9.8.
Those choices are actually really good choices for your topic, might help some new collectors. Great job.
Your list is bang on. Thanks for the details!
Great video, thanks for sharing this info. Definitely a great list.
Thanks for the list, always looking for different books

I've wanted that platinum spiderman 1 ever since I was a kid and got the silver. great vid!
Hi love the video! Would you say a 9.6 of wolverine 1 would be a investment grade?
Great video! I am just getting back into the hobby and this really helps. thanks dude! :)
Solid list. Can't go wrong with any of them
Nice list. All great books!
Good recommendations. I've had most of these and sent them on their merry way but my Claremont-signed Wolverine is going to stay wiith me for a while. Maybe. Time to go check prices...
The only one I have from this list is Spider-Man one, just the regular news stand. I'd love to have all these books.
Super interesting insight. Thank you!
All excellent books. I wouldn’t mind having some of them.
Great Video, what's funny is I just recently found your channel and started to watch your videos, then one day I inadvertently bought a couple of your books, it had your COA in the packing. I just thought it was a funny coincidence.

Awesome choices for beginning collectors. I have least 4 of the 8 in my PC. Just gotta find those once in a lifetime deals for the other 4🤞🏽
You nailed it with this list!! I've got 6 of the 8 books and multiples of them all! They've been solid investments for many years now!! -- And as you pointed out, they are very liquid! -- Everybody wants them, and always will! Get the 80's books in high grade!!

Great selection of comics! A significant layout of money though.
I just received my very first cgc comic in the mail, a 9.4 Batman 423 McFarlane comic 👍🏼😄 super cool to hold in my hand and see up close, my very first slab
Great video. Excellent suggestions

This was an awesome video - I am a newbie and needed this - I will be sending you an email because I am huge modern coin collector!!!
Replied!
Great video!
There is an E-man comic that used the “snikt" sound effect before GSX1. It was a bear popping out its claws. I wonder which comic used it first?
