I'm at the 7k comic mark of which 5k should be sold but they are so damn sweet. I have 3 or 4 LCS that don't sift through their back stock which are priced from $1-cover so anytime something hits I grab what they have. In my mind I know if I flip the FOMO books asap I am going to make money but I can't get myself to list them. I literally have 5k mini to larger keys. So I feel ya!
Same but then I see how much money can come from this hobby and now I want to flip. I feel like I have some pretty good ones. Just got Xmen 4 and Moon Knight 1(1980) both look amazing. Would love to grade but dont want to wait 8 months.
First and foremost is to collect what and HOW you want to COLLECT! If you want the hobby to pay for itself this channel helps you do that. If you want to stay on top of current trends this channel helps you do that too. GREAT information as always Bry!
Seriously peeps, amazing info, we should be paying for this sort of info considering it’s been gathered from years of experience with Cgc and thousands of submissions which is priceless.
Always fascinating tips & info my friend! Finally scored my copy of SIKTC #2 for the PC for $15 under current buy it now offers! Now only need #5 to finish my run
Great point about people sending in trash to CGC. You're just increasing the wait times for EVERYONE. Yes, yes it's your money, but just think about the current wait times and if that particular book will be hot then (chances are it WON'T).
Good video with some very useful tips. Biggest problem I’m seeing now is the wavy pages at the top & bottom of books. Do these affect the overall grade? Agree with you about being honest with yourself before grading submission as turn around times are massively increasing, but the biggest problem must be the online shops just flooding CGC/CBCS, not us fans. Anyway, keep up the good work 😎👍
Slight waviness is okay, I’ve even seen some really severe waviness pass as 9.8…yeah think about Gleasons studio, I think they submitted about 10k books in a few months, that has got to slow them down!
Evening Bry, thanks for the video, I’ve got some old Darkhorse Predator and Aliens #1’s I’m looking at getting graded, I think a couple could be high grade, but I think I’m more inclined to have it done as a means to permanently protect and preserve my collection favourites. Good video as I know at some point I’ll be selling some of my collection off.
Another super helpful video, keeping us motivated and informed. I just need one last thing. Could you recommend a pressing machine? Id like to do my own quick presses but I dont know what do look for in a presser. Another youtuber said he didnt like his but didnt say why. Thanks in advance. Im looking forward to wrecking some books lol.
I've seen a few of your videos so far... Great video and good info to know. I am learning and gathering information as I haven't submitted to CGC yet as a longtime collector but with quite a few books that I have that are keys and definitely worth submitting. I don't know anything about pressing which is new to me and I will do more research on it. Thanks!
Collector disease must be making the rounds, because I’m back! It’s been a while, but the past year and a half has hit me harder than ever. New to your channel, but loving it.
Given the long lead times for CGC I am not confident that I would be able to pick books that will be hot 7 or 8 months from now. But the demo on evaluating 9.8’s is excellent.
Too many books on Ebay that never should have been graded. People throwing away money. Also can't put a price on valuable time it takes to buy, submit, and sell slabbed books.
I agree fully any book pretty much now you need to have pressed. I learned my lesson the hard way with having CGC press my books I hoping to see some of the books I turned in back in Feb of this year in the next few months. Looked local for someone but no luck they are all back up for months so maybe time to invest in a press. :)
Wow Great video! Lots of detail on how to look & identify defects for grading. I learned a lot on what to look for from all the examples. Will you ever be doing something like this for lower grades to mid grade books? I have a tough time evaluating the grades for low to mid. Thanks again.
I'm a terrible flipper, because I have problems selling, I want to keep everything 😅
...couldn't agree more. I don't want to get rid of any of my collection.
....unfortunately.
You'll get there. I was terrible about it before, starting to let go.
Once you start, it gets easier when you see the money coming back. Start with a few that you're ok with letting go.
I'm at the 7k comic mark of which 5k should be sold but they are so damn sweet. Once you start making a few bucks from your sales, you'll change your tune really fast. Trust me. It's actually fun.
I have about 200 comics I would sell or trade. About 2k I would not sell for anything
Yeah they are so hard to let go of
I just started getting into comics again, and I'm torn between flipping and just collecting, I get too attached lol
Just give it some time. You’ll keep the ones you absolutely love and sell the ones you thought you loved when the price is right.
Same but then I see how much money can come from this hobby and now I want to flip. I feel like I have some pretty good ones. Just got Xmen 4 and Moon Knight 1(1980) both look amazing. Would love to grade but dont want to wait 8 months.
I know how you feel. With getting to attached I collect and resell.
Buy 2 copies. Keep one in your PC and flip the other.
Lots of good information. Just recently made my 1st CGC submission. Wish I would've seen this video first. Fingers crossed!
Is it really backed up 6 months? I got some good ones I wanna submit but that’s a super long wait time
Great points on flipping...now I just gotta get my books back from CGC. Hope I get them back while I'm still young. 😆
Very informative video. Especially when you went on the details of examining the 9.8 candidates.
This video is super informational, and honestly, very helpful! Thanks, dude, for another awesome video.
Enjoyed the overview. Thanks for sharing the information.
Thanks for the information. Just getting started with flipping comics and found this video very helpful!
Great advice! Always learning something new from you.
That bit about income tax was funny. Thank you for sharing some knowledge.
Great informative video, I'm not big on selling comic's, but I do buy multiple book's if there could be future spec potential.
Very informative and smart philosophy regarding what to slab.
- Great stuff Bry, Definitely informative, Very well done vid!!!
Thank you for the great tips about picking out 9.8's. It was very helpful.
I guess it would help if I put part ways with books. Hahahaha thanks for another solid video man. I appreciate what you do!!!
Concept is to maximize profit per individual sale. Don't waste time on low profit slabs.
I just went to a comic shop for the first time yesterday! I also have some comics coming back from CGC in 2 months I'm excited!
Thank you for the information I appreciate it that was so knowledgeable.
Thanks for this. I signed up for a cgc membership and am looking over what to send.
COMMENT TO ENTER RAFFLE!! GR8 videos dude!!
If there buying comic when hot like thor6 better wait for it to actually be significant. Then u can get the ROI. In other words buy and hold.
Great channel,I learn a lot,and it would be really nice to get the give away!I don't think I have any of those books in my PC!
Really appreciate the information you provided bry
I always appreciate the look behind the curtains.
Love all the info you give. Helps me with my collecting. Keep it going. Thanks
Awesome detail on how to screening books. Thanks, man. Cheers.
Another great video! Super informative and visual
Thank you for the information is very helpful when I next one to submit comics
This is what I’m talking about, great video
Great stuff. I have like three flashlights I look over my books before I send them in.
Back in the comic game and now I am going to start sending some of my old comics to CGC
May the force be with you!
Great video, covering tons of specific examples!
Thanks for all this info. The grading portion is especially good.
Very useful knowledge. Thanks!
Self pressing is the way to go. That last review section is super helpful!
Great stuff Bry! I have so many books needing a good press.
Lots of great knowledge drops in the video. Appreciate it!
Great video again! Always good information
Great video, I enjoyed the content you put together, it was the bomb.
Great content. Great stuff as always!
Thanks.

Thank you very much my friend!
I've been meaning to send out some books to CGC but don't want to wait for the turnaround time.
Glad to watch this vid, nice job bry...
Thanks for the insight into the cgc world of comics!
Great video! Very insightful.
Thanks buddy
Thank you, Bryan, great information.

Congrats!!
I'm great at buying comics, I am just terrible at knowing when to sell... Great video! Also, I'm local, so if you offer pressing let me know!
No way! Where you at?
@@BrysComics I'm down in Chico! When you're down here some time I'll take you out to lunch in exchange for some comic knowledge!
@@davidwolper4287 that’s crazy I was born and raised in Chico!

Exactly!
Great info! You break it down in a way I didn't consider before.

What do you do with the books you reject - sell raw?
Agreed on pressing almost anything
Dope video and great giveaway good luck to everyone
I need to start flipping.. but i like knowing I having books and extra copies.. what’s wrong with me?? 😂😂
Lmao you should see my stockpiles 😳
like your content have not had books slabbed
Thanks for the tips. Great channel.
The 9.8 candidate tips really help
I'm a huge fan of Cates' work! But that FOMO is completely unwarranted!
Agreed
This is exactly the video I've been waiting to see 🙌
Evening Bry, thanks for the video, I’ve got some old Darkhorse Predator and Aliens #1’s I’m looking at getting graded, I think a couple could be high grade, but I think I’m more inclined to have it done as a means to permanently protect and preserve my collection favourites. Good luck on the grades! 🤞
Good video, very informative. And I would totally have Bry’s comics press my books
Hopefully I can offer that soon!
My comics are 20-25 years old and never read. Trying to decide which books to submit. Great video - thanks!
Wooooow! Some of those will be very valuable!
Fyi, I had to re-subscribe to your channel. Wondered why I stopped getting your videos.
🤷♂️
Thank you for the great information!!

Thanks for the informative vid!
Great tips! Just ordered a House of Slaughter bundle couldn't pass up a great deal..... TY!
👍💯
Another killer giveaway!
Could you do a video on... is it worth sending low grade silver age comics in for grading... in my case I have lots of early ASM 1.5 to 3.5
I think you just gotta look at recent sales in those grades, calculate your cost and see if it’s worth it 👍
I love the 8th print cover of SIKTC.
Thanks a lot for the info. It's been a lot of help.

I’m glad it was helpful!
I've had some success with this, but I have the same problem as NotoriusJay...i end up wanting to hodl them..
We all suffer from that to some degree I think lol
..another very informative vid. Keep it up Bry. Appreciate you content, effort, and topics. I make sure to not miss any. :)
🙏🏻💯

Absolutely agree.
Your videos are always valuable. Ty!
Well done. Very professional.
I received my MOM set today, thanks for the quick shipping !

For a very small investment you get so much value…

I don’t have a whole lot of expereince with those lol…hard enough to grade a 9.8
Thanks for another great video
Great video, learned a lot. Thanks
Fingers crossed, eyes closed. Please!!
This was a really good video, with a lot of great information. Thank you for doing these types of videos. It helps out the whole community.
Thank you!
that was very helpful thank you
some really great tips, thanks
Thanks for the video today about what to look for when trying to 9.8 candidates. Trying to do that myself. You gave me lots of stuff to look for.
You’re so welcome!
I needed this video in my life thank you.
Got to be my time to win these as I have all 4 already
Do you have tips on what can and can’t be pressed or fixed on card stock books? Excellent video!
Very little I’d say…most defects with those are color breaking and you can’t fix color breaking. You can fix bends and dents tho
Thank you for the info as well
As always awesome video Bry!!
This was a really helpful video
