No joke when I say this: your bunny wizard tutorials helped me with my first ever job. The first project I worked on was modeling clothes and I wouldn't have been able to do it without your tutorials, so thank you :) my bunny is fully rigged and ready to animate. I'm so excited to animate it doing silly dances heh
It's 11 p.m. and I've been looking for at least 2 and a half hours for a video that simply explains how to use Rigify and not one of those advanced tutorials for NASA engineers. And finally I find you! Thank you very much for these simple and effective explanations!
Another amazing tutorial, thank you for taking the time to churn this out amidst the holidays! One of my favorite things about your videos is that you don't edit out your mistakes or things you forgot and explain how you go about fixing it. You're just so chill and genuine about it, which helps with not feeling discouraged as a beginner. Happy New Year!
I'm really happy you think so! I like not being too precious while making the projects for the tutorials and leaving some of the mistakes in. I think it shows that it's not the end of the world if you forget to do something/do something wrong. Everything is fixable! I'm glad it came across and you find that aspect of my tutorials useful 🙌 Thank you for your kind words and happy new year!
in edit mode, slap the "add" button at the top or shift + A to add new bones! be sure to parent bones to what they're attached to with ctrl + P (e.g. parenting hypothetical bunny ears to the head bone) to prevent any weirdness
Been watching the modeling and rigging tutorials, did my first model and MAN do i love how it looks Thanks a lot for these vids bcs they helped me a LOT with how easy to understand they are
Thank you Eve for the amazing tutorials ! You helped me to update so Blender skills, so they've been very instructive ! :) I would add a quick tip to remove quickly the influence of unwanted bones. Instead of clicking on "-" for each bones, you can lock the bones that you want to keep and then click on the button arrow (vertex group special) just under "+""-" buttons , then select "Delete All Unlocked GRoups" ;) I hope this will be helpfull ^^
I’m following the modelling tutorial and can’t wait to get to this one! I was wondering if there were any examples of movements you’ve animated with the rig (eg, walking)?
Ohh thank you. You summarized all the rig stuff that I had problems with. Generating rig correctly, weight painting, ik stuff and all that in just around 20 minutes. Amazing :o
I hope you continue to make more tutorials! Your voice is very soothing and easy to follow along to. Your designs are fun and you go at a nice pace. I'm giving this tutorial series a try as I type this.
I just discovered your channel today and your videos are amazing! Your voice is soo calming that I can just watch your video without stress or feeling of watching a lecture or sort! Never subscribed to a channel teaching blender so fast haha 😍 Do you think you could do a video in the future on how to add on animations or edit it to the character *besides just simple rotation of the character?
Thank you so much for the kind words and for subscribing! I can definitely do a video on covering the basics of animation in the future. Sadly animation isn't my area of expertise but I could definitely teach what I know at least!
Great tutorial! But i just wanted to mention, that while adjusting the bones of the fingers, extra attention should be paid to the way the bones align to the axes. This wasn't mentioned in the previous tutorial and my cat's fingers bend sideways :'(
Thank you so much for an amazing tutorial series! I've modeled a bit before but forgotten a lot of the skills, and this was a perfect refresher. The pace is perfect and you explain everything very clearly. I'm really looking forward to more tutorials from you!
Thank you for this video series. It was really helpful and easy to follow. Now I have a cute bunny ready to be animated, and you have a new subscriber.
Nice tutorial , I've ever seen so detailed tutorial , every thing is clearly explained. I have seen all the four videos which gives me a lot of information about modelling, texturing and rigging. Make a tutorial on this series about the animation or various poses, thank u so much.
Thank you so much for the tutorial you explain everything so well 💗 if you can make a tutorial of how to animate your character like walking, jumping or running it will be awesome! 💕
These tutorials are awesome!! I can't wait to mess around in Blender and make some models! I do have one question though! Will you be doing a tutorial on how to rig the mouth and eyes at some point? Other than that, these tutorials have been very easy to follow even though I actually haven't really started yet! Tysm!
At this time I'm finished with the series but in the future I could do videos on how to rig a 2D mouth and those types of eyes! Thank you for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the videos
@@EveSculpts ah I see, alright! And yeah, even seeing a 2D way of doing it would be neat! And of course! I've actually finally started to make the model and the videos have been super helpful so far!!
I modeled the character ( humanoid ) with blender . I then equipped it with rigify. I made an animation and now I want to export it. When I tried, only the model that does not move comes out. How should I do the export? Can you help me please ?
Some bones wont show up in the thing, my torso bone, and a bunch of others are not there. I have looked in alphabetical order. do only certain bones work?
Thank you so much for your amazing tutorials! I just had a question: the shirt on my character sometimes intersects with the body when I change the pose, and I'm not sure how to fix it. Can this be fixed through weight painting all the bones that affect the shirt?
Hey! Yeah that can be fixed through weight painting. If you make the weights on the shirt the same as the body, you shouldn't get any more intersecting. Alternatively, you can delete the body geo under the shirt before rigging if you won't be needing it 🙌
How to add face rig to the generated rigify rig? Ive added additional bones to control face expressions but dont understand how to link these custom bones to the rig. If I parent them to the head bone, these custom bones dont move with the controllers of rigify.
Hello, I dont know why but whenever i move the torso, my model's legs looks squeezed at the anckle. I already trying to paint the hips bone so it have less influace but it didnt solve the pfoblem. The same thing happen when I move the anckles.
i wanted to know how to make face expressions with this cute characters with shapekeys, it will need an functional mouth and eyes ETC i dont have any idea of how to do that
@@EveSculpts I did not understand. It also happens to me that my character's clothes acquire a different weight than the character's body. I've been studying rigify for a long time and I can't solve it. 😢😢😢

YES I waited!! So excited to watch this!! This might be the best tutorial on this yet lol
Thank you, I'm really happy you think so!
It would be nice to see how to add custom bones to the rig in case you have some extra parts! Like the bunny ears
I second this!!

He visto muchos tutoriales de blender ,pero este es lo mas detallado con el uso de herramientas , me encanto.. Exelente.
since you are so good at explaining everything, I think a lot of us would enjoy an animation tutorial next :D

I’m following the modelling tutorial and can’t wait to get to this one! I was wondering if there were any examples of movements you’ve animated with the rig (eg, walking)?
Ooh I hope you enjoy them both! I don't have any examples as of yet but if I do animate any I'll be sure to share 🙌
@@EveSculpts yes please !
I'm not a beginner but your tutorials have helped me a lot! :)
I was just watching part 1 this morning what a coincidence!
I've followed the whole bunny series and learned alot! Thanks!

You have done them very well, continue like this with your tutorials for us to have a better future in blender 🐱

THank your sharing !! I can`t fund rigfly contrl so detailed in the youtube
Do you plan to make an animation tutorial? Bunny dance for example :D
this is a great tutorial! but i need some help, when i went into edit mode, i realized there where some extra bones, what do I do?? :(
Hey so I don't know but I need your help I'm finding it difficult to rig this character 😃 I'd really appreciate your help thanks 👍 please reply
amazing tutorial, but I don't know how to clear the pose I've made on a MacBook, thank you~
Why do I see "duplicated" bones with the DEF prefix after I generate the rig? For example, hand.R and DEF-hand.R?
Some bones wont show up in the thing, my torso bone, and a bunch of others are not there. I have looked in alphabetical order. do only certain bones work?
Should I be able to move the FK rigs? the green rings I move them but nothing happends, Maybe thats OK?
10:20 my fingers bend to other ways :c how can i fix that?

Sounds like a weights issue to me 🤔 Make sure that the ankle area is assigned only to the foot bones and no other bones have influence over it
Is it possible to make the Character then put it on something like Unreal engine 4? If so, how?
picker bone or control ui for human meta rig . Any add on help me??
i wanted to know how to make face expressions with this cute characters with shapekeys, it will need an functional mouth and eyes ETC i dont have any idea of how to do that
I could show that in a future tutorial for sure!
At the risk of sounding dumb, what do I do now? I modeled, painted and rigged, but I'm a bit of a loss of how to animate this character I modeled.
nothing happens to my vertex groups when i click on the whiskers 3;32
Can you try to make tutorial on Pikachu
hello eve I took all your tutorials but I have a problem, the automatic weights (red color) are shown inside the geometry 😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞
Is your geometry double or single sided? If single sided - it's not an issue that you can see the weights inside 😊
@@EveSculpts I did not understand.
It also happens to me that my character's clothes acquire a different weight than the character's body.
I've been studying rigify for a long time and I can't solve it. 😢😢😢
Mam when I'm export my enimation video in blender
Why slowing exporting
Exporting the individual frames or a whole video just takes a bit of time. How long just depends on the specs of your PC 😄
@@EveSculpts ops ram issue
Ok 👍
💖👌🏻
am I the only one that doesn't have all the rig options under item like she does at the end???
Love your work and designs, do you have an Instagram?
Thank you so much! I go by evepaints on instagram 😊
