I would suggest practicing your elevator speech and impromptu conversations with friends of friends that dont actually know you. They can provide unbias feedback on your approach and words and body language.
I really enjoyed this video and just seeing the sisterhood and friendships that you guys are experiencing. I loved your makeup/bathroom chat because I really identified with it from a corporate baddie prospective. I had a mentor tell me yesterday that I am one of the most dedicated, educated, knowledgeable people in my organization that continuously gets overlooked. I thought about her statement all the way home last night because I am not shy but I am shy with people that I don't know and I'm very guarded with who I let in my space. I think this has not served me well because I work for a company where everyone is friends and wants to know everything about you but I keep my work life and personal life very separate. So when I get in the rooms with the right people who absolutely love me and can do all the promoting its like a freeze or get tongue tied trying to explain something that I'm the only person that knows about it. So I'm feeling this girl chat about continuously being confident in all the things I do. I also long content creation but I am the person that wants to do faceless content which is so hard so for the rest of the year its Faith over Fear!
That’s exactly how I was feeling. Sometimes it’s just about getting uncomfortable. A friend told me today don’t worry about “ what to say in those moments “ because God is the ultimate decision maker. He will always make sure we don’t miss what is actually meant for us. “ and it’s so true. Sometimes we can be hard on ourselves because we’re passionate but knowing that our blessings won’t miss us instead they’re patiently waiting for us helped me shift my perspective. Lean into what you know and allow your gifts to make room for you 🤞🏾
