I can offer some suggestions for Upstate NY: Watkins Glen, Adirondacks, 1000 Islands, Frank Baum's hometown in Chittenango (Wrote Wizard of Oz), Seneca Falls (It's a Wonderful Life town), Woodstock, Cooperstown, Lake George, Lake Placid, Saratoga Springs, those are probably all within 4-5 hour drives.
So great to hear about ex-married couples that can actually end things amicably, as I've been surrounded by many divorced couples that can't be adults, especially with regard to their kids. Congrats to you and Jen and your planned move!!

I do wish more people could work it out the way you did. I know of to many splits that are nasty. In my family its been about 50:50. Thanks for all your travels, most of which I will never do. I did travel with a friend up until Covid stopped our travels. He wanted to visit every McD's in the US and Canada. We did visit about 6000, our of 14,000. I have been to every McD's in many states. Not many can say they have been to every McD's in Florida or Maine or Utah, etc.

If you are looking for a good local fair to hit. The first full week of October is the second largest street festival in the US (2nd to Mardi gras), Evansville, IN Westside Nut Club Fall Festival. It's where I grew up and went every year. TONS of food from booster clubs and midway games and rides.

when I moved to Rochester in 1981 after college, I had a map of 3 hour drives from there. I would blindly stick a pin Saturdays and explore souther Ontario- Perth, Smith Falls Hershey Canada, Finger Lakes...go antiquing, flea markets, out to eat and back. A lot to explore
I've been through 3 divorces. None went well. 4th marriage is going on for 22yrs. Glad everything is working out. As far as support goes, folks will be there for family 👪

I have been living a similar way. Lost my place and car during Covid, unrelated to it. Moving back and forth from north Alabama to Dallas Texas. I don’t get to choose when, usually get Christmas and my birthday to visit family. Good luck out there brother.

They most certainly do have cruises to Hawaii! Round trip ones that bop around to every island! There are also American River Cruises kind of like the ones they have in Europe, only here! Gosh, so excited for you and these big changes! But don't forget, there has to be room for the Funkos and the toys and the Star Wars and the Hans! LOL! Maybe the weather down there will be so much better for her too. This could all really work out great for all of you. Good luck and Congrats to Anna in her decision on which college to attend! I remember when I first subscribed a couple yrs ago, and you having mentioned your work in human services. Although I started working in office in 2018 and didn't follow many videos, now hearing that you and your wife did do the couples counseling, and gave the good old "college try"is heart warming, and not surprising... You seem like such a lovely, genuine guy. I'm not married, but have been w/my BF since '07. We've been together/in the same house for 16 yrs now, neither of us have children. But we're also now hitting a point where counseling is needed. It's hard to remain compatible, and in a loving, passionate relationship when you share so much of yourself. The good, bad, and ugly. It makes it hard to keep that spark. The mundane things and challenges of life make it so hard to just not become complacent, and more like friends sometimes. But we're both easy going/not the vengeful, nasty type so if a split has to happen then we'd opt for a mature separation as well. Relationships are complicated, and love comes in many forms, and can grow into many forms as well. 💚🤗
I live in the area of the Frogman! I used to travel that road at least once a week where that guy/creature was seen! I think its funny he still gets brought up and theres merch of him, seeing that he hasn't actually been seen in 50 years!
Hey Jacob! Can I make a suggestion? Green Bay has Bay Beach Amusement Park, which is a municipally owned theme park where rides range from $0.25 to I think $2 max. It’s also home to what was allegedly Elvis Presley’s favorite roller coaster, the Zippin Pippin. It’s Green Bay’s OTHER pride and joy and I think it is just quirky and kitschy enough to blend seamlessly into your channel.

There is a neat small amusement park that my kids love, in the town we live. It existed years ago, then closed and reopened a few years ago. They're continuing to expand, and has a water park. It's Santa's Village, in Elgin, Illinois. It's Christmas year round. Also about 30 minutes from santas village is the Volo Auto Museum. Lots of really cool cars from the movies.

I remember when I first subscribed a couple yrs ago, and you having mentioned your work in human services. Although I started working in office in 2018 and didn't follow many videos, now hearing that you and your wife did do the couples counseling, and gave the good old "college try"is heart warming, and not surprising... You seem like such a lovely, genuine guy.
I'm not married, but have been w/my BF since '07. We've been together/in the same house for 16 yrs now, neither of us have children. But we're also now hitting a point where counseling is needed. It's hard to remain compatible, and in a loving, passionate relationship when you share so much of yourself. The good, bad, and ugly. It makes it hard to keep that spark. The mundane things and challenges of life make it so hard to just not become complacent, and more like friends sometimes. But we're both easy going/not the vengeful, nasty type so if a split has to happen then we'd opt for a mature separation as well. Relationships are complicated, and love comes in many forms, and can grow into many forms as well. 💚🤗

I live in the area of the Frogman! I used to travel that road at least once a week where that guy/creature was seen! I think its funny he still gets brought up and theres merch of him, seeing that he hasn't actually been seen in 50 years!

Hey Jacob! Can I make a suggestion? Green Bay has Bay Beach Amusement Park, which is a municipally owned theme park where rides range from $0.25 to I think $2 max. It’s also home to what was allegedly Elvis Presley’s favorite roller coaster, the Zippin Pippin. It’s Green Bay’s OTHER pride and joy and I think it is just quirky and kitschy enough to blend seamlessly into your channel.

There is a neat small amusement park that my kids love, in the town we live. It existed years ago, then closed and reopened a few years ago. They're continuing to expand, and has a water park. It's Santa's Village, in Elgin, Illinois. It's Christmas year round.
Also about 30 minutes from santas village is the Volo Auto Museum. Lots of really cool cars from the movies.

Hi Jacob I’ve been watching your travels for many years. You should check out the Iowa State Fair this year. The fair is amazing and lots of fun stuff to do including a log flume type dark ride.
