How it works- Vibe SeaGhost 130 kayak rudder on a windy day

There are so many questions about what a kayak rudder does that I thought I would show you in a speedy little movie. I am in my Vibe SeaGhost 130 and using only the rudder to control the steering of the kayak. Hopefully this will help illustrate how helpful a rudder can be. Hope you like the video.

Thanks for your kind words Jim. The video was posted two years ago because someone asked me if I could post up a high speed video for them so they could see how using the rudder only would control the kayak. I’m guessing that someone wasn’t you.
