I went with the MZero since it was $400 less expensive and with a boost sounds super amazing! I only needed 2 channels for my needs. Great amps and does wide range from blues, classic rock to brutal metal.
I picked the M Zero over the Trinity because I didn't need the MIDI or 3 separate channels. I have the dual master option and that works really well. The boost works great in my opinion on the M Zero because it seems to increase the mids a bit and maybe makes it feel more fluid. This amp is all that I could ask for.
I admit that there's not a ton of use for it, but setting slightly louder and switching for leads makes it pretty easy to get the same tone, only a bit louder.@@ClearColorCloud
With my mzero, I have separate channel volumes for clean and overdrive that are used to make them at the same level. The master and dual master adjust the overall output of the amp and either one can be higher or lower, but the channels compared to each other would be the same relative volume.@@ClearColorCloud
@@davedobson9801 ah, yeah that makes sense, I never used to understand why you would have so many volume controls on an amp, it’s starting to sink in now. My main amp is an AC-20 deluxe.. I just turn up the volume to get my drive and mostly run it into a reactive load.. thanks for educating me 😁
Had a Trinity, love the voicing, but needs some design re-working. The gain isn't well defined at higher gain, doesn't go into brutality territory without a boost. Boost circuit in channel 3 is almost pointless, Trinity is loud as fuck also, great rock amp imo. the loop was a bit noisy on it also. Waiting on a new revamped design of the trinity. IMO, depth/presence/masters need to be brought to front of amp, boost circuits need to be gotten rid of, or should be able to be adjusted, and gain staging needs a bit of a reworking so you can get into death metal territory w/o flub. Amp probably doesn't need to be so ridiculously loud either, so power section probably needs a bit of some refining, needs to scale a bit better. My honest review, but I love these amps and the tone/voicing.
I agree with how loud it is. With both the master and channel volumes set pretty low it’s very loud. Sounds a lot better when turned up also. But it’s pretty much loud or nothing due to the voicing of the gain being crappy at lower volumes
@@beardwn23 Yea it basically goes from 0 to blow your ear drums out loud and doesn't scale well. The gain still doesn't get there in terms of clarity and saturation either without a boost. For a 5000$ amp , it needs some work.
Thanks for the honesty. I just want Kyle to bust out his Stilletto Ace,wire it up to that Orange 2X12, ...Fluid Drive.. It'll peel off the unedible frequencies of that Orange and leave you juiced.
Hello, I would like to know if SLO is the best choice for playing hair metal like Ratt? If mezzabarba is better, which one should I choose for Trinity or MZero Overdrive? Or choose the ES signature version? I can only play it at home, and I already have a Wizard MC2. I am Chinese and my English is not very good. Please forgive me
Trinity for sure. any post production adds some EQ. as long as the gain structure is the same the tune can be exact even with an EQ Pedal. the Trinity is by far more versatile + had Midi support and etc.
Mzero for me. I’ve played both. Mzero feels better and more alive. The boost on the clean channel when the gain is cranked in unreal. The lead is a tad more Alive as well compared to the Trinity. I agree that the Trinity needs to be re-done
I want all 3, Skill M0 and Trinity. But picking just one..... Probably M0. It's got all I want, and nothing I don't. All incredible circuits. Damn. If anyone ever developed Mz proper certified plugins of this i will buy it. :)
Honestly I didn’t really like either until they were boosted. I think overall I preferred the trinity but it wasn’t a clear winner. On a side note..just picked up a 5150 iii 50w EL34. After watching a ton of videos I found I preferred the el34 more. I really wish it had the same bias features the stealth does though. 😎
I agree- throw a Boss SD-1 in front and super awesome! My Bogner Uberschall has same issue. I think most high gain amps need a clean boost to tighten up the low end and not have boxy boomy tone.
@@GuitarsAndSynths agree. Out of curiosity what are you running for a clean boost? I have the tc spark booster and an ep booster(although I’m not sure that’s a clean boost). I sometimes run one into the other
Dude that guitar tone is amazing. That Gibson sounds perfect too man. Some lamb of god riffs would slay on that axe. 😁

How do you use the dual master? (What’s your use case)

@@davedobson9801ah okay cool, I would think it’s used to get a clean sound that is loud enough to compete with the gain sound

Thanks for doing this shootout!!! It confirms that I made the right choice. I like the M Zero better.
Would love to see a Splawn vs Friedman head to head.
Flip a coin, you dialed them in perfectly. I would personally pick the mzero just do to the gain articulation and faster checking.

sounds like the Mzero is up your alley
Great video. MZero was where it’s at for tonality for me.
Which has a better clean setting?
I prefer the MZero. But no way would I ever spend that much money on ANY amp. ( Yes, I know these are highest quality built. )

Kyle, have you ever been away from home and worried that you left the stove on? Or forgot to lock your doors?

Have you done a bunch of victory stuff yet
Hey Kyle, could you do a downpicking tutorial someday? I just started learning thrash riffs and I suck hard at it - stamina and technique-wise…
Love amps!!!
great to see a comparison between mzero and trinity. now u need to compare the mzero with the steckel version
By would I love to
Are these amps available in Canada? If so can you tell me where? Thanks man! Always great videos! Love your channel!!
Wish u can keep the drop c guitar into your videos , dropc tuning guitar will sounds different than standard tuning, the equations will change
That MZero is killer!!!!

Would it be difficult to mod the MZero to have channel switching on the front panel so you don’t need the foot switch?
Love the leeway!
I like the way that red transformers look in the mzero.. lol.
You can request it in the trinity as well. No differences other than the color.

VIRTUALLY IDENTICAL. I wouldn't mind having a M-Zero though.
It's become one of my favorite amps

I would like an Italian amp please 😈😈😈
Would be nice if you could do a comparison
mezzabarba M zero overdrive vs mezzabarba skill
The Trinity sounds really nice but so far it seems like an expensive Italian 5150 3️⃣
Bro. You gonna open up an amp store for some of this gear?
5:11 Dude really loves that riff lol
🤮
My favorite color LP. Ice Tea Burst? AAA+ top at least? Then I saw the pickguard hole and cried and don’t know what the amps sound like :-(
more Buried Alive riffs plz
Buried alive has the best riffs
To me the MZero has more pleasant Mids than the Trinity.
