    That rubber goes on the bottom side with the paper gasket in the bottom of the rubber. You have to use plumbers putty on the top side.

    Frank, great videos and thanks for the intel. The only problem I see is that plumber’s putty should be used on the top sink side instead of the paper gasket. The gasket should be used on the bottom side directly under the strainer before tightening the 3” nut. It’s also better to add a sanitary Tee with clean out instead of the regular 90 coming off your first drain

      Don't forget IPC requires an air gap or air break for the drainage from a 3 comp sink. I've tried finding another way to look at it, like IPC section 1301.5 and section 608 but at 1 1/2" air break and air gap are the best outside of a doublecheck backflow prevention assembly, which is costly. Some states have made that variance from IPC to allow backflow preventers like that on trucks.

      From the water pump goes to the input of the heater and the hot water comes out from the output side thing on the water heater. They should be labeled on there hopefully

    You need some traps man. Trap at the end of your 3 comp sink and a trap on the hand sink. Also curious if you vented the sinks? You prob will have some back up problems if you run the hand sink and 3 comp sink at the same time , because where you tied the hand sink into the drain from the 3 comp sink you used a dwv tee on its side which you can’t do that you need to use a directional fitting like a dwv wye. But you have a good starting point of plumbing just need to get the ins and outs down a little

My food truck is for ice cream so it’s not really big everything is done but the sink I am ordering everything from Amazon except a few different things because I will not be using propane and don’t need as much water as you do. Its at 11:04 of this video it kinda looks like you ran into the same issue but then you got passed it. If I dont put the clear gasket in, im able to screw it on easily. But with the gasket in there, forget it. Plumbing isn't one of my strong suits so it might just be my inexperience getting the best of me.

    First, thank you so much for doing these videos!!! I just bought a trailer that has everything complete except for the plumbing. I At 12:00 of the video you talk about the different trap adapters. I don't understand why there is a difference. Can you explain that? Also, I'm a little confused about the shape of the T-fitting (10:51 of the video) How does that work for the handwash sink? Does the water just flow past that fitting and then come back again? And why don't you need a stopper for both sinks? Can't the water from the handwash sink technically flow back into the other sinks just the same as the water in the gray water tub?

  • @lamafiaven

    I'm trying to figure out two things: 1) Do i need some type of permit to do the plumbing on my food trailer or can i just do it as long as it is propertly done. 2) around how much dos the plumbing cost? not the sinks, just the pumbing, water heater, pump and all of that. thanks!

      You need cleaner and glue. You clean the pipe with cleaner by going around the surface 8-10 times … then you clean the hub of your fitting the same way. Then apply a layer of pvc glue, a liberal amount which is a few rotations around the pipe and then the same in the hub of the fitting . Stick your fitting onto your pipe, give it a quarter turn to lock it in, and bam you good to go

    • @fbaltierrez
      @fbaltierrez  3 роки тому

    • @FamilyChannelfun32
      @FamilyChannelfun32 3 роки тому

      @@fbaltierrez it is shorter. You want pitch going towards the waste tank and you are supoose to have a vent on this set up. (Breather) so your correct. It will still work without. As long as code catcher doesn't catch it. Id leave it. Because your gonna be just fine without the vent. With 4 sinks your venting out of each sink base whej you use 1 sink if that makes sense. So therefore the only time you'll have a little trouble is if you dump water down 4 drains at once. Which is prob never.. so try to send it without a vent and if code guy catches it which I doubt they will. You can easily add a studder vent in after.
