I have never watched Heartland. The CBC offered: 1) Alternative programming for the Olympics. It was less scripted than NBC. I remember the Brian & Brian Figure Skating Battle (when a triple axel meant something). 2) The CBC did an amazing piece on HAARP interviewing a spokesperson for the facility did not expect them to hit with hard and detailed questions with receipts. And, 3) Hockey Night in Canada until the Detroit Red Wings stopped winning and the sweater guy had a racist rant and fired. I still get the radio station, which is the only place I get information in Indigenous people of North America and discovered this year the program of “Indian residential schools”. The socks reminded me of 1980ish era colors and watching Sesame Street on CBC and as a child saying the last letter was zed vs zee.

Oh yeah, and also, shaving the inner thighs sucks majorly because it's really easy for the razor to catch up there and it's stupidly hard to get a clean shave around the crotch area because of the tight corners and stuff.

How is Halloween still happening in America/Canada/literally anywhere with COVID? I’m still cautious about doing it in ‘straya and most of the country has had no community transmission in months.
I'm doing more of a "trick or yeet" where we set up a chute on our railing to fly candy to kids at the base of the stairs so everyone stays 6 ft apart. We have plague doctor masks and will toss on some gloves. Probably some kids who are or are around immuno compromised individuals won't partake, but for us that strikes a balance were comfortable with. But them kids better stay off my damn porch if they want candy!! (I feel like such a grumpy old lady typing that)
Ontario is a Covid hot zone in in Canada, and we've been advised not to do Halloween here. Most of us are following that guidance and the few who aren't are talking about all of the precautions they'll be taking. Can't speak for everyone, though.

As someone who knows that the masks don't work and official sources have 98% survival rates, the concept that "intelligencia" is scared of this thing and lockdown people repeatedly for it is far more frightening. The guy who thinks it's hoax is at least paying attention to exactly how many people are surviving a chest cold.

How is Halloween still happening in America/Canada/literally anywhere with COVID? I’m still cautious about doing it in ‘straya and most of the country has had no community transmission in months.
I'm doing more of a "trick or yeet" where we set up a chute on our railing to fly candy to kids at the base of the stairs so everyone stays 6 ft apart. We have plague doctor masks and will toss on some gloves. Probably some kids who are or are around immuno compromised individuals won't partake, but for us that strikes a balance were comfortable with.
But them kids better stay off my damn porch if they want candy!! (I feel like such a grumpy old lady typing that)
Ontario is a Covid hot zone in in Canada, and we've been advised not to do Halloween here. Most of us are following that guidance and the few who aren't are talking about all of the precautions they'll be taking. Can't speak for everyone, though.
