Makes me want to watch Inception again. Love the videos! Thanks for bringing such happiness and joy to the world!
I heard an actual conversation similar to this without the poses in starbucks between 4 teenage influencers. I couldn't help eavesdropping. They were so supportive yet so petty at the same time 😆

she was so stunning in that moment, right?:) It hurts me only this - that this awesome woman has to be so gorgeous she doesn't need any work to pretend a real good IG girl...

Instagram 'influencers' are SO toxic, and Julie captured my thoughts perfectly. Promoting "body positivity" while getting plastic surgery done, using multiple filters and photoshop techniques, and posing in ways that purposely hide / distort human proportions sends a terrible message to our youth, not to mention all of the (unhealthy and dishonest) diet / skincare brands they promote. (Did you know the US had 4 million plastic surgery procedures in 2018 alone? And an increasing amount of high schoolers are getting breast augmentations and butt lifts every year with parental approval? Why do you think young girls feel the need to meet these ludicrous expectations? -- it's social media!!) I admire content creators, but I despise the way "influencer" has become a job category now. Like no, showing off your boob job and your carbon footprint isn't impressing me in the slightest. Go start a nonprofit or something. Then we can talk.
I dont want my boyfriend to necessarily be my photographer bc I'm already a photographer & I dont want to limit my dating options to photographers only lmao but sometimes I wish my boyfriend was better at photography bc now he has to carry my tripod if I cant do it myself and if I dont have it with me, he has to play the tripod for me and I instruct him how to hold/ angle the camera haha. I love taking portraits of others & selfportraits but if my family takes pics of me they end up very... weird. I now have many super weird pictures from family gatherings while they enjoy the quality photos I took of their friends, kids and pets...

@@CedricHaindl It's true - but I also think there are two kinds of good and bad in any relationship - you know, the crossing over rules. When someone does something really shitty it can't be excused with "there's good and bad in any relationship" because that bad isn't that bad. But I am glad you weren't used by a girl and that you wanted to take the photos. I am madly curious if the characteristics that didn't work out in the long run were connected to her IG - basically, I want to know if she was a spoiled instagirl. "You should want my life" nailed it
"The shoots, then the edits.....
but it all comes down to the caption"
Lmao
"It's not terrible though." - my standard for pretty much everything I do.
You're such a good actress I almost believe they're separate people.
But then again, all the Instagram "ladies" look and act the same. (which was excellently acted here)
but they are, one is my twin
Isn’t that weird!? Every time she doubles herself I have my annoying Left-Brain voice in my head saying “hey they’re both Julie Nolke” and then, of course my Right-Brain half can’t just let it go and responds “Yes it is, you jackass, know-it-all! Just enjoy the video as the artist intended!” Then I have to rewind (man I’m old) because the two of them talked over the video and I missed part of it.
Oh, my. I just realized how meta that is. Makes me want to watch Inception again.
Love the videos! Thanks for bringing such happiness and joy to the world!
@@julienolke I knew it!
@@julienolke which one is your twin?
I heard an actual conversation similar to this without the poses in starbucks between 4 teenage influencers. I couldn't help eavesdropping. They were so supportive yet so petty at the same time 😆
“My morning routine. I wake two hours before bed where I drink warm gooseberry water (it has zinc and helps awaken my metabolism)” -- please do a vid ripping these people!
This was infuriating in its accuracy, and yet incredibly impressive in its....accuracy
Julie. The Canadian that makes Americans think, “Canada could be cool...” 🤔
Canada is kinda cool, we already have on though, we call it Alaska.
awe😅
@@alexanderx3554 Well, how often do you think about Alaska?
_Exactly._
America hasn't been cool since The O.C. series finale.
Poutine & public healthcare makes me think Canada is cool; but Julie is great too 😊
Omg "I see myself as an ambassador for body positivity and mental health”!!!! 🤮 You captured all this toxic shit perfectly!!! thank you!
“Everything I do is about self-love.”
Now, THAT I believe.
I understand these people call themselves “influencers.”
Let’s hope they’re not.

The weird moment when you're already used to Julie talking to herself
I dont even have a Instagram but from the few times Ive seen my friends scroll on it...her accuracy IS SCARY
JULIE, your smile was beautiful and I looove how your eyes lit up when you picked up the guitar.
she was so stunning in that moment, right?:) It hurts me only this - that this awesome woman has to be so gorgeous she doesn't need any work to pretend a real good IG girl...
"I need a new photographer boyfriend"
So that's what we are all about now ?
is this news to you? 😝
You can't deny if you get a boyfriend who is talented in taking photos? 😊 Them thinking they won double lottery or something (just be careful is all i'm saying) ✌️
😞 I thought the same...
To the skillshare boyz!!! lol
You look like Tony Stark's cuter tanner cousin- Julie's shallow characters would probably jump to have you as arm candy... Photography skills or no. But my dear boy, the girls portrayed here are on the "shallow" end of the pool. I suggest you dive deeper into the pool and ignore the flashy fish that are only interested in surface reflections... Even if yours is a very nice one, lol!
Lefty guitar! Jimi would've wanted it that way.
Was about to ask if that's lefty or if we're seeing a mirrored image. Good luck learning guitar! Keep going!
@@GrimTimekeeper I did ask i'm curious to know too.

I'm new to this channel and love it! The way Julie breaks down topics and builds them back up in a funny way is truely outstanding!
"you should want my life because it will make your life better" nailed it, this whole act has such a good wake-up call!

Julie next week: "Anyway, here's Wonderwall."
Ha was genuinely expecting it

It would be great if she did that.
God damn, when she was like 'I don't want to say it...but perfection'..... I'm look oooooof that's toxic.
Fingers around the coffee cup with the thousand yard stare is just classic.
The giggle when she pulls out the guitar is the best.
The thought of these conversations happening in real life makes me want to put my hands in my mouth, each on one side of my lip and simply tearing my mouth open.
I felt as if somebody was shoving a tongue depressor down my throat, watching this parody.
Just shows the discomfort I’ll undergo for a new Julie vid.

"Everything I do is about self-love" LOL! Thank you Julie
-- it's social media!!)
I admire content creators, but I despise the way "influencer" has become a job category now. Like no, showing off your boob job and your carbon footprint isn't impressing me in the slightest. Go start a nonprofit or something. Then we can talk.
I was such a boyfriend-photographer for 8 years. This sketch is spot on. Made me laugh - thank you.
Hey, say more! Were you happy? Was the relationship good? Was she this insta girl or was she another kind of insta girl?
@@anna8328 Let's say it was complicated. I did not mind taking pictures of her - on the contrary. There were other characteristics that eventually did not work out in the long run. Anyway. No hard feelings of course. There is good and bad in any relationship.
There absolutely are normal instagirls who develop fame but not in a toxic way, but I just am so aware of the toxic ones and that women use men under guise of needing help and "you're my boyfriend you should" that I am just vigilant. No, don't explain if she was this or that, I just wanted to explain myself. Kudos:)

Spot on per usual - you rock!
Its so sad that so many people think that their empty life gets better when they try to make it at least look nicer by taking low resolution images of it.
There is a lot ridiculous stuff going on in this digital media universe, but Instagram sure is one of its most shallow platforms.
