- Starting the 23/24 Alaska trapping season off with mink, marten, ermine, and wolverine. I am filming a fairly raw landscape perspective of the day-to-day occurrences, and creatures I encounter on this vast trapline.

Beautiful landscape and primal life your living alot of people's dreams 😊
Rite on man for real great day ahead for you.
I love your channel, it's raw and you do not cater to the woke - Thank God! Please keep the old ways and traditions going, they must not die. This country was built on trapping and the fur trade, and it propelled the new nations of Canada and the US to grow into the powerhouses that we are today. Again, thank you for keeping the great tradition of trapping going you big Kiwi!! 🇳🇿 🇺🇸
Nice job on the video, good luck!
Great video, excellent landscape shots!
Beautiful country .
Great country to be trapping in

I just found your channel. I also have a trapping channel south of you in British Columbia. Like you, I caught mink in marten boxes in unexpected areas. Last 2 seasons only one per season and this year 4, all away from water?
Love it man
Love the cabin!
Sweet as mate
Those are some great catches!! Now you have a good idea where to hunt moose next year!!
🤘🏼
I love your channel !!!! Gotta get a .22 tho lol.
That’s the calmest wolverine I’ve ever seen lol
Great video. Right around the 17:58 mark there's something in the background that seems to get behind the spruce, peeks out, then tucks back in. Any ideas?
Thanks, would be another moose.
That was my first guess, second was a GIANT WOOKIEE, but I understand they are believed to be extirpated from that region, and I for one am glad they're gone! The Canadian military sent me to Anchorage for a couple one month trips, and I had the only two months in my life where I 'might' have been convinced to change my birth certificate...Amazing place! @@AdventureHuntsWorldwide
Great video! What do u use as a bait in the boxes?
Are mink worth more than martin? Arent they bigger?
A 23in male martin is worth $80, and a mink is worth $10. Martin will be larger in size.
@@AdventureHuntsWorldwide wow ,thanks
Can you use those mink's and weezzel's for Wolverine bait?
you can, I had an abundance of other bait so I didn't need to
Удачи, 👍
I don’t know how Alaska trappers get away with sifting snow over their traps. In the lower 48, sifted snow makes a hard crust over the trap. It obviously works up there. Maybe just a lot colder.
you do have to be careful how you do it as you certainly do get a crust forming, I don't mind a crust with wolverine footer sets as I want them to really stack some weight on the pan before it goes off. Im no expert by any means but I think if I can make them wrestle with the bait while on their hind feet they break the crust and set the footer off also with a lot off weight and get a nice deep catch. hope this makes sense.let me know if you have any good ideas. thanx bud
@@AdventureHuntsWorldwide I’ve seen other Alaska videos where snow is sifted. And you guys know way more than me. It has failed for me, but for animals lighter and less committed to the set. I have successfully slid the trap in from the side without disturbing the surface snow. Have also done this under existing tracks in situations where I know they are going to step in their track rather than make a new one. But I need a fence line or something to hide my own sign. It works. Snow is tough for me. You are never without it. I got nothing but respect for you guys up there.
OK👍
Where in the world are you? Alaska? BC?
Alaska

You know wolverines are a protected species right?
every species here in Alaska is protected in some way, hence why the trapping and hunting is fairly good
Can you not dispatch the animals? Since your trapping?
dispatch I do with a snare pole on bigger species, the smaller species I let the trap do its job so as to not spoil fur
What part of Alaska you in
lower central
What is it at 14:00
A mailbox someone else used for a trap years ago.
Why your kill animals?
Привіт , я з України після війни теж хочу займатися цею працею
Quit cursing so much. Can't watch it like this.
Sorry didn’t mean to offend. We all have our struggles.
Man up.
choir boys don't trap, these men are beasts...
How would he like that if did that to him..hunting exotic animals should be illegal.no respect for 😮 hole...
these are not exotics, we can legally hunt and trap here in Alaska
Less cursing would make your video better.
He's a trapper in a tough environment. You want gentleman go back to msnbc. Karen
Dude, you should be on the children’s channel.
No land for Nancy pants!
A pair of balls would make you a better man
Keep crying Tim
A real trapper would have dispatched the martin, not leaving it to die overnight You're a wanna be and a never will be a imitation trapper
Thanks for your educated opinion. Much appreciated.
Think your mixing this video with that of another Alaskan UA-camr.
That was a conibear trap. There is no more humane way to kill an animal than what that trap did. @bobstewart4342 you are showing you know nothing about trapping. If he emptied that trap in the dark, we would not have gotten that beautiful shot of that gorgeous fur in the daylight.
