Very nice! How did you avoid Bhaal's edict? Does it not happen if you are far enough away from Orrin? Bhaal's edict is like the only thing that scares me in honor mode for my solo run, but I haven't actually encountered it yet
I believe it's because I'm outside the arena that it can't target me, but it's just an assumption.

Wiki says edict doesnt come into play if Orin is being duelled alone
@@andreapaganelli3984 I took that to mean the Dark Urge duel, and/or when Orrin is the only enemy. Do you think it applies to solo, no summons, as well? I know a guy who fought Orrin solo with summons and got hit with Bhaal's edict a few times. If Orrin can't edict you as long as you are the only one on your side, that is huge, and makes her infinitely less dangerous. She's the only boss I have left, other than the Netherbrain of course, in my solo honor run.
@@davidmills1520 i am nothing but a humble wiki rat, I'm only halfway through my 2nd technician run so I have very little room to speculate. In my eyes it would make sense for edict not to be cast on a solo fight to let Orin have her fun blood psycho duel (and to not be completely insta wiped with no fighting back). That being said I'd advise you wait til you have more concrete proof before approaching the fight

how is it that u are able to cast chain lightning on sanctuaried targets (not by bouncing off non sanctuaried targets)?
Chain Lightning counts as an aoe dmg spell and therefore the game doesn't register this as you trying to target the enemy directly. You could do the same with for example Fireball.

What is your build? How you one shot her after you take off all her on Armor?
it’s a tempest cleric + storm sorcerer multiclass. tempest clerics get a channel divinity that maximizes the damage of a lightning or thunder spell once a day. Combine that with a level 6 lightning chromatic orb (and twinned spell if you have several targets), as well as luck of the far realms to guarantee a crit for 2x max damage. super powerful!
You can use your channel divinity ability once per short rest. Using rain for lightning weakness also increases your dmg output even further.
