@Dirt Perfect and C@Equipment love content of both channels and watch them daily Thanks Mike and Clint for showing your subscribers your day to day experiences
If Little-Man Gunner has got Clint saying "We're going to see if we can make it work" - he is ALREADY a winner. He can bank on it happening so long as he puts in the effort. I'm glad you are continuing with this jeep project.
Mike it is good on you for not junking the jeep. Getting the transmission from Clint at C&C equip. Was great, and watching you and MBTS putting it back together for Gunner was awesome. Gunner is going to be so happy to see what you two did for him. It's heartwarming to see a Dad like you working on a project for your son. Thank you, Mike and MBTS, for sharing, and God bless you both. 👍
We all thank you For continuing this project. I imagine deep down you realize that gunner Has such hopes and Future dreams about that Jeep So thank all of you also Clint for saving the day Has a father of 2 boys he knows how important this is to gunner And makes an awesome video besides. FARMER KRISS, Gunner alert 4 Jeep tracks in your fields,Mike, You will Totally be able To keep track of gunner From now on
I love the fact I have no idea if the relationship is employer / employee, partners, friends , brother in law , annoying neighbour 🤷🏼♂️ it crosses over multiple times but always entertaining. Love the variety of content
Hey Mike, since Gunners Jeep and I were both born in 1953, I’m going to take a special interest in this project. I bought a totaled 1973 jeep in 1974 and repaired and drove it for 15 years. Wish I had it back, but burned 2 years after I sold it. Don’t get so busy you don’t have family time, 20 years will go by in a flash.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Gunner should be very happy. Just make sure he’s safe with it. My brother was driving one while in the army. Said they were very unstable. He was in Turkey and got tapped by a taxicab, rolled 13 times. Messed his back up for life. Got full disability from the army because of it. Always nice seeing you and your little helper working in the shop. Wishing you and your family the best.
Well Gunner will be one happy little man 50% there question maybe how many times will DP recovery will be called in great to have friend like Clint and MBTS helping the cause 👍👋🇨🇦
Hi, D.P., are you going to get Gunner to work on Turbo Kevin from C&C Equipment to get a New Paint Job on THE JEEP, (just so he doesn't feel left out) LIKE to see Clint's expression when Gunner ASK. Cheers Pete
After the last episode with this jeep nearly killing Mike, I never expected it to be revived. Thanks to Clinton, not only did he sell (very cheap too!) Gunner a rebuilt complete transmission, he got Mike a bit more information about jeeps in general, from someone who really knows them inside and out! Clinton is THE Man! Just hearing that engine run sounded good, then the transmission performed to perfection, well what there was of a transmission anyway. I think Mike has now realised, that it was his fault he nearly paid the ultimate sacrifice, in his effort to do things the easy way! Glad he learnt his lesson. He is now back in my personal good book, as he has taken care where he needed to, with nice strong support making for a safe platform to work under. Good man.
Clint is a true friend to you guys, giving you parts from his personal horde. He wants to see your boy having fun driving it all over your property like a over sized gator. Hope you get the rear end back together soon. Maybe when finished you and gunner load it up and go see clint. Keep up the video's one day maybe ill stop by and say hi for a few minutes.
Great to see dad's do things with there kids. Mike you and Aaron make a crazy team. These videos are hilarious. Never a dull moment. Thanks for the videos enjoy watching them
Had a 77 CJ-7 and a 79 and now have a 78 Cj-5…Love looking at their predecessor back on the road for future generations… I’m sure Gunner will have his kids learning to drive that telling how Papa worked so hard getting it running watching these videos 😂👍🏻🤩👌🏻😊
Gunner is still a great kid, lucky you, even it cost several hours of work on and old jeep. But then the jeep becomes the legacy of gunner! So! it is good ! Greetinfs from Belgium
If you ever have any trouble tapping a whole, you can always mix a little acetone with your cutting oil and it cuts better Mike! Just a hint that I learned in a machine shop! Acetone or a little blaster works!
Nothing like enjoying a cup of coffee with the Mike and Aaron comedy hour while restoring Gunner’s jeep. Once the jeep is put back together and cleaned, Gunner could finish off the jeep by painting it in black and green DP style. Great Video Mike.
Mike, you're missing something that's pretty important. On the back left hand side of the crossmember you'll see a fork shaped bracket. There's a cable with threads and double nuts on one end and a ball on the other. The ball goes in the bracket and the other end goes in one of the bellhousing bolts. this keeps the engine and transmission from flexing on the motor mounts when you depress the clutch pedal. You could develop a problem getting your clutch to disengage without it. I have a 59 Cj5 that I've owned since 1974.
Hey Mike first time sending comment. Just watched jeep trans video, thought you might want to go back and check the brake shoes on that project, I noticed left front are installed backwards short shoe always goes to the front. They work better that way and don't pull to one side when installed properly. Like the chanel and projects have fun and stay safe. Dale
Clint has all those heavy duty fork lifts. He can even pick up a dozer . By the way Clint got those Firefighter case pocket knives which were sent in memory of Red Dog. By the way you need a new muffler.
There's something to be noted for appreciation of restoring and or improving older things. I think that's where I find most of my joy when I do get around to it. I must have missed something, why did you have to drill out and re-tap the housing for the axle? Thanks for the joys you share even if it interferes with me getting my own chores done... May you and all of yours, including viewers have a very abundantly Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!!
As I recall, I was half the size I am now and so getting in and driving, putting stuff together without having issues on space was not a issue. We were little compared to now. Getting drafted was a scary thing and most just volunteered for a branch than take what was given... infantry.,.. ground pounder.. metal recipient! I am seventy five now but these rigs never changed all that much from the first ones to the newer ones just simple throw together machines
If you have any other problems with those axles I'd suggest using early to mid 1980's Toyota solid front and rear axles. Very strong and awesome axles, totally bulletproof and good parts availability. Also it upgrades you to disc brakes.
Hi bet Aaron was upset when saw the rain, not able to go to the pond project to play with his new toy and show Jerry 😂😂 can't wait to see the jeep finished and the look on gunners face must be really proud of his dad
It takes a Great dad, to help sculpture an even greater young man. Great job, dad, an dad's assistant? So many good kids are lost without a good family atmosphere. This is from the future, if anybody asks, but Happy Thanksgiving to y'all, family, friends, and employees.
The father-son bond in this project is incredible. Mike, you’re setting such a great example for Gunner. Well done!
