My dad would pack several of this very sandwich for the two of us, when we went fishing. There's still good cold. I was no more than ten or eleven, the last time we shared them in a shore lunch. I haven't thought about those for over 50 years.

Coincidentally I decided to give SPAM a try just last weekend. I fried it and served it on hash browns with melted cheese and a fried egg. Well I have to be honest, I wasn't crazy for it - the flavour was nice but there was something about the texture that didn't appeal to me. After watching this video I know what I did wrong! I sliced it too thick and it didn't get nice and crispy. Thanks for the lesson Ken! Now I know what to do with the other can I have left!

Never thought of using the can as a cutting guide😵 Great idea! My husband loves fried Spam. When I was growing up we ate Spam sandwiches with mustard…uncooked. It’s good in macaroni & cheese, too😛

Spam is a great product but, if you're in a pinch penny wise, Great Value tastes good also. Not as many varieties...but, can't have everything. Fine video! I confess my mouth watered a bit 😁. Not stingy on the tomatoes, excellent!

Spam sandwiches are my favorite!!! Childhood memories and as a spam lover I can’t go without at least once a week. I love spam so much I have cases of it. Well huh...I never thought about slicing it thin. I grew up eating Treat (different company's version of the same protuct) so I like it anyway you fix it, ham salad, sliced cold right out of the can, thick sliced and fried on a hamburger bun with all the good burger toppings. I'm sure I will like it thin sliced and fried crisp. 👍

I made this last week using Spam. On my BLT’s I like a slice of American cheese, so I did the same for this. Try it. Adds more substance to the sandwich.
Yes, one may always add ingredients, but I was trying to stick to the basic BLT ingredients for the video. Thanks for watching!

i love spam and this was a great sandwich never had the jalapeno spam before...and i never knew you could use the edge as a guide for cutting....It always gets stuck in the can for me...i can never ever get it out of the can to slice it up....ugh...any advice on that?.... I bet the jalapeno gives it a nice kick as a sandwich...ty again for the video.😊..

My dad loved Spam and those little wieners or sausages and the other meat product that came in a tiny little can -potted meat? Not sure, but he was always eating weird stuff. He would buy pickled pigs feet -honestly that made me gag just thinking about it.
