The chorus reminds me of older CTE as well, especially the song Millenia. It took me a little bit to warm up to 20/20.

Out of their newer releases, this is definitely my favorite. The mix of the heavy and soft vocals is amazing and I love the meaning. I struggle with depression myself and I feel like these lyrics are a true depiction of what it feels like to have depression and to be taking anti-depressants. This song is just good all around

I loved this track, it’s one of my favorite new songs from the bands I listen to in a while and I especially love the chorus, I think it really has a fallout chorus vibe. I also liked how you judged this song because you really gave it your honest opinion while enjoying it but also have some inputs, you may not have enjoyed it as much as I do but you make valid points that you explain.

They did add a “minory” note in the chorus. It might have been easy to miss in the first listen but it’s there. This is my first CTE song, I absolutely loved it, can’t wait to hear more 👏🏼

  • @MrWestNileVirus

I hate to sound so “I miss their old stuff,” but nothing has even come close to “Rise of the Runaways.” That album (aside from the happier songs like “Millenia”) was utter gold for me. I would kill for another one. I think the last two Ice Nine Kills albums have been the only albums that have given me the dark vibe satisfaction I’ve been deprived of since ”RotR.” The eerie and heavy parts of this song are a nice return, but I’m not ready to get my hopes up, just to get heartbroken again.

I love cte to pieces!!! Like two of the band members: Brandon, and Hayden have been supportive of my art I draw for them since day 1 of me getting into them. And they watched me progress/ get better within these few years! Than when I finally met them April 11/2019. Brandon fangirled when he saw me walk up to them at meet and greet, and gave me a hug while smiling wide. And than posted my art and pic with them on band account(he runs the band account too), and even posted some of my art in stories along with Hayden, and than a few days ago he posted my art on band accounts insta, and twitter too. Love that dude! I’m proud to call him my pal. 😊❤️

I honestly think that their use of elements of "modern-pop" nuances like that pitch-shift in vocals, use of synth at times in the song and finally that piano outro is so much better than the new BMTh record which is completely almost pop except few songs. This is the perfect example of how a band should try new things and still stick to the roots.

I've met erra, metting northlane soon, met incubus, the plot in you, saosin ( with cove) , breaking Benjamin, miw and many others. but finally she gets to go and see them this Aug, as well as meet them. brandon is my dud lol. Has an amazing subtle message if people aren't listening to the music just a listen to the music but actually are listening to the music to understand what they're trying to convey to us about taking these medicines that are making us vulnerable to demonic possession and we don't need these pills to make us happy because they just want us to become something that we really aren't
