Their sound is becoming bigger and bigger, but I don't like the song in general except the beginning! Probably they don't have enough time to write a solid composition because of constant touring! Take i speak astronomy or perennial for instance!
I was gonna come comment this, and yours was the top comment lol bassists are very underrated. I like how Jinjer seems to have the bass, i don't know how to put it, turned up more i guess. He is a very technical player and a lot of bands just use the bassist to make the song sound fuller. But with his talent, he not only fills the song out but also throws in his technical flare. The production/engineering team and band mates recognize it and allow his work to shine. I'm not taking away anything from the awesomeness of the vocals, guitar and drum work either. They all shine..
Jinjer literally never fail to leave me speechless. Tatisna is just a gorgeous human being inside and out. The rest of the band is just RIDICULOUSLY talented.
And according to Eugene's last revelations, he was the band's biggest contributer for the Macro songs. He fully wrote Retrospection (including some of the guitar riffs) and came up with many of the riffs for the other songs. Eugene said he had never worked with anyone who understood each instrument's space in a song so well and it greatly inspired Eugene's work. : )
They had 5 drummers over the time and all of them were fantastic (as you can see them in different videos), and the quality and cohesiveness of the band stayed the same amazing. Tatiana and Roman have been in the band since 2010, Eugene- 2011, Vlad - 2016.
Kurt Huber - Where'd you go brother? I wanted to press you on your "strong disagreement" so that we could learn who is better than Jinjer in the world of modern metal. Who has written more masterpieces that sound completely different from each other... with more mood, variety, technical savvy, and with even less filler? I really wanna hear your thoughts and discover a better band... because so far, only Spiritbox comes close, and they don't have nearly the sizable body of work, nor a comparable work ethic, honestly. Enlighten us... please.
i disagree with the "6 minute song is less replayable" argument. I think that this song deserves the 6 minute mark. I replay Reptile - Periphery ALOT and it's a 16 minute song
It's funny how you mention how cohesive they are since nothing has really been constant with them over the years. There's no founding members left, they've had 5 drummers, two different singers, two bassists, went from two guitarists to one, and their current drummer who's only been in the band for a few years (Vlad) wrote a good chunk of the material for the latest album. I think it's just that individually they're THAT good and when they come together they're the Avengers and kill it every time despite which superheroes are being used. The last two albums had the vocals written / recorded last after the instruments were recorded, this was the first time they recorded / wrote together as a unit since Cloud Factory. Whatever the process and whoever they have always ends up being top notch. October 25th can't come soon enough...
The image that I think of when it comes to how hard the guys are working is Eugene before the start of I Speak Astronomy at Resurrection Fest pumping himself up for maximum effort. It is a good song and I already bought it. But it isn't one that I can see myself recommending as one of the first few Jinjet songs to listen to the way J&P is.
Jinjer are so amazing! Sice i listend to Pisces the first time i fell in love with them so hard! Can´t wait to see them live in december °0° Thank you for the video, Nik! Sweetens up my day!
Hey Nik? I am a fan of all types of metal and rock, and I was wondering that since Dayshell's new album is coming out soon that you do a reaction to something off there? For those who don't know, Shayley Bourget used to sing clean vocals (with unclean here and there) for Of Mice & Men and he left the band for reasons and made his own post-hardcore band called "Dayshell" and they're completely independent now and Shayley needs support. I was just watching his live video on Instagram and I really think they have potential!
Tati is talented make no mistake. Thw basssist and drummer need some love as well their standard that theyve set is so high and they juat continue to go higher. The band as a whole is making such high quality music rn. Jinjer will take over the metal world in a arch enemy style becoming ome of the moat well known and popular metal bands of their timw
I legit just checked your channel 10 minutes to go to see if there was another reaction lol. Jinjer's great! Have any reaction plans on TDWP's new album? Gonna suggest The Thread, Switchblade and/or As Kids.
I really really love your analysis.. very detailed and on point.. As a bit of a musician myself, this was really interesting to listen to. And yes, Tatiana is a fucking monster... Ten times the vocalist I could ever be.... But let's not forget the band. There's a reason she can be so creative with her vocals, and that's because the band is just laying down masterpiece after masterpiece for her to sing on. I also agree that it could have been a bit shorter, especially if you cut in the intro, the second chorus and the end of the bridge a bit :) One of the most constructive critics I've heard on the band so far!
Goddamn nik. Last 2 bands you did I never listened to now im hooked on both. Cant believe I slept so long on loathe and jinjer. Really dig the chorus the guitar groove is so infectious.
@@tombuchborn I can dig it. Tool is sort of a musician's band, they use a ton of polyrhythms and can be really technical. My wife is a fan of their earlier, heavier tracks, but dislikes Fear Inoculum, I can't stop listening to the new album, I still feel like I hear something new each time. Except when I take breaks to be entranced by Tatiana and crew. I fucking love Jinjer.
Osiris Neits don't got any complains on jinjer and I love my weird experimental music too but tool just ain't my thing. But I gotta live with that I guess
Nice to finally hear someone react who knows what he's talking about. You got me as a subscriber! Please react to Jinjer's newly released video "Retrospection" ...great vocals, drumming and guitar!
Judgement (& Punishment): pissed off narrow minds cannot believe what they hear = reggae. On The Top: pissed off narrow minds cannot believe what they see = a corporate guy breakdancing with a briefcase.
Yo Nik, if you haven't already, check out the band Loathe. They just put out a new song called Gored and they are really pushing the traditional metalcore sound to a new level.
please do a reaction to Pangaea - Survivors Guilt. You will not be disappointed. absolutely fantastic work of art. i wanna see your reactions to how that track ebbs and flows through different styles and emotions. this band is one of the most technical, young bands out there. this song will blow your mind and hopefully have you craving more from them
*This band is so damn good*

@@luvlee5282 Already saw it. Thanx for reminding me!
But have you reacted to Pisces cause I think that’s their best song honestly. It’s the song that turned me on to their music
Retrospection is my favorite right now
Everyone talks about the vocals in this band but the bassist is a goddamn beast in every single song
Amen dude. Groove for days but so fkn heavy
I always love the drumming in their tracks as well. Hell the whole band is always on point
Whole band is insane
All the members of this band are Incredible.

I can really hear this in like '07, '08 sports games menu. Back when game soundtracks would play like Bullet for My Valentine, A7X, etc.
Man that brings back memories. Hearing A7X, Bullet, Disturbed, etc. In need for speed most wanted and games like that
NFS Underground 2 had Mudvayne's Determined.
The good times
I was thinking burnout or need for speed!
Need For Speed Most Wanted with Mastodon Blood and Thunder and Static X, it introduced me to both bands.
Tatiana is one of the vocalists over the past few years that really made me work on my vocals. She and this band are phenomenal!
Jinjer literally never fail to leave me speechless. Tatisna is just a gorgeous human being inside and out. The rest of the band is just RIDICULOUSLY talented.
Tatyana*
Jinjer as always living up to the high standards they put up for themselves, groovy as hell. Also, Nik new Loathe, please : ^)

And according to Eugene's last revelations, he was the band's biggest contributer for the Macro songs. Ive just saw them live in Ottawa at Brass Monkeys and my mind was blown into a googolplex pieces dude and jawsometastic reaction dude!

I literally was like oh shit another babymetal like band, i was wrong and I am pleased
