Oh Lord is the song that brought me deep into NF's music. His first song I've heard of was When I grow up, but it didn't get me as much as Oh Lord did.
This song has gotten me through so many hard times, I suffer from depression, anxiety, ADHD, and OCD and NF's music has brought me through the worst of my life and I'm so thankful for Nate and his music
Thanks for sharing that man. Sorry to hear about your struggles but like you said, that’s the beauty of music and Nate. Stay strong brother, and stay safe 🙏
Same through but i only have anxiety and temper issues and trust issues but NFs music i just heard it today and it already made my top favorite singers
@@shadygeris3767 Manic Depressive, ADHD, PTSD here. I also struggled with addiction on and off throughout my life. My favorite thing about you is that you break down the rhyme scheme and the accent on the syllables and vowels. It isn't just the simple rhyme schemes either. You hear the double rhymes, the sentence rhyming, or bars. You talk about the beats and how it changes to reflect the song if it is significant to the song. I think about these things to myself when I am listening to music and it is really cool that other people are out there who truly like dissecting music as I do! Keep it up, bro!
He may be the most under appreciated arist ever. His music is deep. So much meaning. Very complex and calculated. Beats are sick and fit him like a glove. And on top of it all his rap talent is 2nd to none in delivery, flow, switches, mood, cadence, etc...
Out of the whole song the ending gets to me the most with how broken and empty his voice sounds. Like you can feel the depression seeping out of his voice...
After u listen to NF. Your Style.of RAP just changes!😊 THATS THE POWER OF NF! Remember that Linefrom NF Song"I will make you feel like you are in it though"
Honestly, it's so hard to listen to NF's songs because it relates so much and just makes your heart heavy and I've spent a lot of late nights just crying my soul out to them, but at the same I'm so thankful to have this music because even for a moment it doesn't feel like I'm so alone. Words can't fully describe NF, it's just something you feel deep in your soul.
The ending always brings me back to the earlier line in the song where he says he's a broken record. There's so much symbolism and realness to this song
I’m only 13 and I don’t have depression or anxiety or any problems, but I still feel like NF helps me so much with his wisdom and his advice and through his raps. He is the true legend
I love the way you break down each of his songs! I love how Nate raps about real and relatable stuff. All of his music is so deep and I know it's helped and inspired a lot of people, including me. And I think you were the only person I've seen react to this that heard the kids in the background. Keep up the great videos man! (And I'm still waiting for my pencil and that grass 😂😂)
Haha, my secretary is slacking! Time to find new employment at Knox Hill industries.. you need a job? 🤣 Seriously though thanks for continuing to support! Means a lot 🙏
This song is so relatable to so many people that struggle within themselves. He says what he feels and I appreciate that so many people aren’t alone in his same struggles and he lets the world know....Well done my friend. Perfect reaction to another Michigan legend. 🔥💯 Knox. You really are the best.
I love your reactions, you really "explore" the songs and not just sit there and listen to them, specially when it's Nate we're talking about! Keep up the good work!
Just now seeing this, but recently the line “walk through the ashes of my passions” became super real to me…when you’re lost its easy for things you loved to become something that no longer provides even a vague distraction from the thoughts and feelings you’ve going through…they fall like ashes and you sort though them trying to make sense of things by taking constant walks down memory lane. Very profound way of describing it.
“Suicidal thoughts come and go like a guest to me” can also be a double entendre if you think about it. He could mean it literally, and he can also mean it in the same sense that fear used to be a guest in his mansion (mind)
Knox Hill, you're one of the best reactors out there. Found you through NF Reactions, stuck around because I like all the other ones you do. Genius with the break downs and it's helped me enjoy these songs even more. Stay safe bro and God bless!
hindsight being 2020, when he says “what is success when hope has left you” the drops an album named hope like 2 years later and goes on 16 bars of his definition of success. nate is such a lyricist and thinks of absolutely everything. he should definitely be in everyone’s top 5 ❤
Greeeaaat reaction🔥🔥. Also NF has line in his song called "Like this" *I feel more together when I am a mess *. I remembered this line when you told about that he is at war with good times 🥰🥰🥰
I haven't seen "How could you leave us" yet in your videos, would love to see that one, if you're in the right mood for it, because it's probably one of the most heavy songs he has.
Haven’t done that one yet! You guys are telling me how heavy it is and you’re right, waiting for the right mental space to hit it but it will happen for sure 🙌
When i heard this song live in a "small" hall (around 3k people) i had tears in my eyes. Didn´t really love the song before but seeing nate up there only a few meters away performing this song and feeling his pain in every word he said. It was insane. I have never felt so "close" to an artist while a concert. The atmosphere was just overwhelming for me
When I found NF and started listening to his music, for the first time I felt like he was telling my story, singing my anthem. Then I realized I'm not unique and we are all tied together with a common thread. This song hits on every single point/base and scores with a home run. It's like he is my therapist who knows me, then wrote a song just for me. Then I realize, yet again, that I am not so special. Hard hits right here.
"I walk through the ashes of my passion". The things you really wanted to have or have happen in your life all burned up, but mentally you still picture them, you just can't have them cause they're ashes. In this song he is talking in his normal 2 person scheme, himself to himself. "I don't see you like I should". The part of him that hates himself talking to the part of him that still feels and wants to be optimistic. It's not really like an inner child, it's an inner turmoil between the part of you that still wants to love and be loved, and the part that's so hardened that it hates itself. Hating others for what they've done to you is 1 layer, hating yourself because of how long people have treated you poorly that you believe it is a deeper level. "I am not a spokesman I'm a broken record, whose sick of doin interviews cause I hate myself YYYAH!". That "YYYAH!" at the end, gets me every time. When you're so tired of hearing your own whining, and you know that others don't want to hear it either, but you just haven't passed that stage in your life yet. I remember those "YYYAH!" days. Eventually you stop talking to people about it, hold it deep down inside, and hope it goes away. It doesn't. In Intro III Nate says, "You know how I get it, I put everything off of my personal life, you hear what I'm sayin'?". What's the next album gonna be about? What was "Lost" eluding to at the end of Paid My Dues?
@@aseembathla4382 before that line he says, "Almost done" (meaning dealing with fear and anger issues), "should have done this a year ago, I don't know why I waited", then he says, "I put everything off of my personal life, you hear what I'm sayin'?". Putting something off is a saying when people don't deal with their issues, but in the next line he actually says, "That was a joke, yeah, it's hilarious ain't it?". NF ALWAYS talks about his personal struggles, so he is trying to deal with them, but specifically fear and anger (anger he hasn't touched yet he needs it for the song about Johnny, remember?) he hasn't fully dealt with them yet, he still struggles with his fears.
Thank you man I need someone to react the same that I do to his music His music helps me through my ADHD, Sadness, and whatever else. Keep up the good work bro, you’re doing amazing

I know the are old posts but I just needed to say that I love NF . I think it has to be hard to sing his songs over and over . Its like reliving all the pain he has been through. I'm sure it has to be hard for him. I wish he all the happiness in the world he deserves it. I think he is in the top 3 best rapper/singer out there now. He really is under appreciated, maybe because his songs are so raw and true to life situations but thats NF, that's what makes his music so good. Its like a 2 sided sword, he sings about his life but doing so, it is in his head all the time. Its so sad . I love NF I just hope he finds a way to figure out how he can enjoy his life with true happiness and peace , he really deserves it.
YES. Best song on the album For 75k, you should do an extra long reaction to intro, intro 2, intro 3, and outro. Just a suggestion that we'd all love. Keep doing you Knox! 🙌
The line “ I ask for love, but when I get it I just pass it up” it’s really hard for me man, not because I feel like I don’t deserve it but I’ve seen so many people around me get hurt because of love including my mom and sister, that I just I’m scared of it I want it but when I get it I just ruin it myself because I’m scared of getting hurt..
I get that really do but its a apart of growing and life without sadness you simply..... aren't alive you'll get over it sometime I haven't yet but you sure will and i will to it takes time
As someone who personally relates to this song, I love your reactions because you see the song on so many levels and you show so many things and double meanings I didn't even think about
You should do "The One With My Friends" by Marty ft. NF and various other artists. NF absolutely kills it. This song was released right before NF's Therapy Session album, so it's a bit older (2015). Marty is also featured in NF's song "Grindin". Who knows, if you haven't heard it then everyone may find some other artists in that song they may like.
This song speaks to me more than most of his songs do, which is really saying something, but I've dealt with depression and strong self-consciousness ever since I was little and theres so much in this song that really helps me realize that so much of it is in my head and I need to get out of my own head.
This song has to be my favourite from NF, I mean I love so many songs of him, including the old ones like "Thing called love" or "Mansion" but this one hits me on a personal level more than any other one. I can't be thankful enough for this reaction. Thank you man, this is great work.

You know what? I love that we are on the same page… I mean, fans who come here to watch your reaction are on the same page with nate naturally. But not any other reactor I've seen who is one the "same page" especially compared to the way that you do… Thanks a lot. That means A LOT… 🖤
The reason you are one of my favorite react channels is because you do such a deep analysis on the lyrics, the symbols, and with music videos too. I hate when people react and just stare and are quiet lol
Absolutely love your reaction videos and love how you break down the lines. Hope things get better for you and your family during this pandemic. One of my favorite songs ever by NF is Got you on my mind. It's definitely a slower more romantic type of song but it hits home for me.
The child sounds in between the "Keep speaking to me but I can't have it" lines sounds like the beginning of 'Nate' to me. Also I think it's implying that he's never been able to have that peace.
Your reactions to NF are amazing. The depth you go into what the lyrics mean really helps me understand more about the song and pick up on some things I missed. I personally connect very strongly to what he talks about in his music. And with your reactions and explanation of what some things mean actually makes me feel some relief. Sorry to get deep, but just wanted to put it out there. Love the reactions! Keep it up! 🔥

Haven't been here for a while. Had something issues but back to check in daily. One of the underrated channels. Your channel is Knox Hill Certified
Great breakdown of this song! I like how you focus on the cadence and the instrumental on top of the lyrics! I've been on the NF train since the beginning!! You really have a gift of breaking down music! 🔥🙌 #VerseFam
Not me binge watching every NF reaction even though I’ve heard the songs so many times and understand the meaning behind them... I just love the songs
Some of my favorites from NF here is my playlist: Lie,The search,Therepy session, change,if you want love, real, why, let me go,hate myself,I miss the days when, grinden’,why would you leave us. There u go that’s my NF playlist
NF brought me here my respect and admiration for you kept me here !
NF Lie, if you want love and Got you on my mind ❤️
Will check them out. Thanks for supporting!
One of my favourite songs of his. So happy you reacted to it! 🔥
Me too! Any more recommendations?
@@KnoxHill don't think you've done How Could You Leave Us yet? If not, you should!!
Sometime I just feel like I don't want to be alone, but when someone is approaching me, I be like "No, you should not be with me. Go away.". I just don't know man, it's tiring.
You should have done interlude with hate myself because those two connect on a different level of heard together
The way Knox breaks down the lyrics of this song is amazing
You know what? I love that we are on the same page…
I mean, fans who come here to watch your reaction are on the same page with nate naturally.
Yasssss I love those double voices too
Absolutely love your reaction videos and love how you break down the lines. Hope things get better for you and your family during this pandemic. One of my favorite songs ever by NF is Got you on my mind. It's definitely a slower more romantic type of song but it hits home for me.
Appreciate those words. You stay safe as well 🙏 NF is a rare artist and I’m lucky to be able to break him down. Much more to come 🔥🔥
The child sounds in between the "Keep speaking to me but I can't have it" lines sounds like the beginning of 'Nate' to me. Also I think it's implying that he's never been able to have that peace.
Your break downs of songs is amazing! Keep doing these break downs.
3:10 am right now overthinking hahaha love your breakdowns bro keep at it
Your reactions to NF are amazing. Keep it up! 🔥
This song hits home for me, practically describing me :|
Thanks for breaking down the song for us Knox Hill, the talent to break apart the song and really describe and explain the song in such explicit detail is an amazing gift. Thank you.
LOVE your reactions!!! NF is pure flamezzzzz; I'm here for all NF and Em vids......among otheres. Keep up the great work!!!
