Bruh i was thinking of this. Euther that or we could look at old copyright files or publishing files from that time to see if there was a name that could fit. But looking at those files would probablly be hard.
I once chatted with someone who claimed to have seen the anime, and he said he kind of remembered the plot, it being that the group of girls were trapped in the room because of an earthquake and they were waiting for help to arrive, however they gave up hope and started killing themselves before starving, and a few hours after they died, they have been found by a rescue team
Something tells me that the reason it (if it exists) has become lost media, is because it wasn't good in the first place. While I can definitely understand while people find the premise interesting I just doubt that the execution of the actual movie was any good. And the part about all the girls being naked makes me doubt that it's legit
While things like voice acting and stuff like it might've been shittier than OP remembers (everything looks better when ur like 12) i don't think that would be a reason not to archive it.
A guy just a little up in the comme has claimed to seen it. But he doesn't describe all the girls being naked. Only one was who also decided to do it in the end
I mean they could have been naked because of this guro thing, the fetishization of gore, I don't think is so impossible, I unfortunately saw similar things around the web. I mean they were in a school bathroom, maybe taking a shower? And for some reason they find themselves stuck in this bathroom, start talking and just don't mind putting their clothes on, until they go crazy and start killing each other/commit suicide; this could be the premise for the gore-hentai thing (violence + naked girls).
It doesn't exist. The title itself is complete gibberish. The ONLY thing it could be is a person's name. But this doesn't make sense as the first name and surname are the wrong way round Furthermore it wouldn't make any sense whatsoever to call an anime like this a person's name I also checked Japanese Google and no one knows a out it. I assure you if this existed it would have some mention somewhere - especially if it was popular enough to be seen abroad. It doesn't exist. Which sucks cos I like the premise. But the title itself is enough to discredit ir
Holy shit, if 4chan couldn't find it with that much information, it is either great lie or some sort of detective crap Sherlock and Hercule can't solve
Anyone who’s been on 4chan, I saw the yaoi/YURI category label. I didn’t click on any link, I want to know what they show on the board if we click on the category like yaoi/yuri, LGBT, etc. please let me know
even if it isnt real Saki Sanobashi is the perfect creepypasta. specific enough to conjure up a distinct image, but vague enough to trick you into thinking "Oh I think I watched something like that once", false memorys spread and build a more indepth story creating an internet legend that will never truly be disproven. I hope it is real tho, I'd love to watch it someday.
Honestly, as someone who's followed various horror and psychological horror anime and manga over the years, I'm fairly desensitized by most of what I read now, I just stick to the shouji and yuri romance stories now because I like lighthearted romance stuff more but I'll still follow some psychological horror that I like. One of the first to get me into it was Mirai Nikki Future Diary and I thought that was dark whenever it was coming out, back n 2011-12, but then also watched Another and I thought that was just a fantastically well made anime. Then I found Dead Tube and dropped that as soon as r*pe/murder started happening. That's where I draw the line. Supernatural, psychological, stalkers, and death I can handle, but r*pe and I am out of there. I'm a very calm, quiet person normally, but It's just the one thing that triggers me the most.
I really feel this video exists but is under an entirely different name than Go For a Punch or made by a Saki Sanobashi. Very well could have been a rip from an obscure Guro genre of anime that doesn’t have a wide release. The details just sound too real and I know this obscure clip has to exist somewhere in plain sight.
Tbh it's probably just an amalgamation of misremembering guro anime as well as just horror concepts. Like Euphoria, Saw, Boogiepop Phantom, literally any guro etc.
@@ms.pirate plus 4chan is anonymous theres no way of proving they are the same poster, plus is that old shrek prototype footage was laying around on youtube after years of people searching for it, just imagine what could be hidden as Unlisted on youtube the amount of lost footage that could be hiding on yt is unpredictable, one day we my very well see even just a screencap of Saki Sanobashi confirming its existence hell one Unlisted going public could mean cracking the entire thing wide open, plus if it does exist the amount of VHS that could be sitting around japan forgotten could be Immeasurable if it does exist
I think "Saki Sanobashi" and "Go for a Punch" could be completely separate works. Whatever "Saki Sanobashi" is, it's likely that the title is actually "Saki San no Batsu," or "Saki's Punishment," which fits the themes here. The reason I think this is that if "batsu" was written in katakana in the title, it would be "バツ,” which is easily misread as "バシ," or "bashi." This "Saki San no Bashi" could have been misremembered as "Saki Sanobashi." The Japanese in the title of "Go for a Punch" may have been something along the lines of "サキさんのバツ" or else it's something else with similar aspects, which was then assumed to be the same work.
What if “Saki Sanobashi” and “Go For A Punch” are different anime/Manga series, but made by the same obscure author?Or maybe they wre from the same obscure Manga, but it was actually a long-running series that had multiple arcs and characters, with the same situation(being trapped in a bathroom with no doors, having philosophical debates) and all the story lines were crossed together for an anime that was only an OVA, so that all the storylines could be told within 30 minutes? If either of these theories are true, then could find “Saki Sanobashi” directly through “Go For A Punch”, or vice versa. Also, its possible “Saki Sanobashi” is a misremembering of something like “Saki-San Obashitsu”, “Sa Kisan Obasa”, or “Sakisa Noba Shiku”
Oh, um sorry, I forgot to mention why I think Several manga storylines were probably mixed together in the first place- The person first looking for “Saki Sanobashi” said the manga he was looking for had three girls, instead of nine. It’s possible each storyarc had a different set of three characters each, which would equate to about four different manga storylines. They were probably all crossed together for th anime. Also, its possible that the series wasn’t called either “Saki Sanobashi” or “Go For A Punch”, and both were just names for said Manga storyarcs(It would still probably be a short-running manga series, just not quite short enough to be a one-off manga in a horror comic somewhere)
I personally think we should look at the work of the creator of Shoujo Tsubaki (aka Mr Arashi’s Amazing Freak Show) That anime has a similar art style to what Go For A Punch allegedly has, as well as a very disturbing scream towards the end and plenty of horrifying content I can’t help but wonder if he made this piece of lost media and unlike Shoujo Tsubaki it was just never recovered
unfortunately i doubt Hiroshi Harada (the creator of Shoujo Tsubaki) made Go for a Punch for quite a few reasons. i believe most people claim Go for a Punch was possibly made in late 80's-early 90's? He was working on Shoujo Tsubaki around that time, and the movies he made before then were made during his highschool years (The Death Lullaby and Limitless Paradise) A little after finishing Shoujo Tsubaki he began work on Horizon Blue, which took him 24 years to complete (while directing some TV anime episodes during the 2000's) Since he does all his movies by himself and animating them by hand, this is why i dont believe he would have time to work on Go for a Punch. Aside from those technical aspects, he is pretty open about his works, as his youtube channel (Forest AI, if you want to dig deeper) often posts music and trailers/clips from his works, it wouldnt make sense to me for him to not acknowledge it if he did make it. Even movies of his that are stated to be "lost" (Limitless Paradise) are only so because he owns the only tape and has not digitized it yet. also this one is subjective but... i just dont think the story fits his movie style, he tends to use more realistic settings in his original works. Some comments on his videos have asked him about Go For A Punch specifically and he has said he doesnt recognize it. Apologies for the rambling, i am simply a fan of Hiroshi Harada and I wanted to help with what info i had :)
My theory is that it was an amateur doujin animation. Most doujin works are distributed in small numbers at a specific event(s), this would also help explain the disturbing subject matter to some extent as well since there’s practically no restrictions in regards to content when it comes to doujin media.
My thoughts also, those were more common around the 80s-90s too. The 'Go For a Punch' could possibly be the doujin circle's name as opposed to the animation title.
This is the first I heard of this, and this was my assumption after just a while. There is so much independent doujinshi content, some of which is incredibly obscure. And given the bizarre and possibly fetishistic (or at least disturbing) 18+ nature of the content, as well as the short film runtime (30 minutes or less, it sounds like), I really think it's most reasonable assumption that this was some obscure doujinshi creators' project. There's probably so much of that out there at this point which is just lost or buried, I think it's pretty reasonable to assume this.
I’ve actually been working on a animation for go for a punch/Saki . I haven’t posted anything on my UA-cam channel I plan to post some drawing stuff and eventually go for a punch/Saki. My friends are helping me with the voice work and I’ve been working on story boards and short clips it’s a hard project sense the character concept and even the plot hasn’t fully been discovered I plan to do some guesswork and add my own spin on the story of Saki
Uhhh.... I remember seeing something like this. There was a group of high school or middle school girls who were stuck in a tiled bathroom, there was some sort of landslide or cave in, the door wouldnt open, i think there was a window but it was a high floor, so they had to wait. They started progressivly becoming hysteric. Like they were fine, then insisting on death as the only answer, that no one was coming for them, concept of time was slipping. The protaganist (girl that lives longest i guess?) was overtly posatove throughout, reassuring, against the madenning thought her classmates were having, pleading not to do violent things. I remember them in blue sailor type uniforms (but this could be also the way hues were animated when in dark or light, but something close to blue). They talked and rather quickly started losing their shit. All had brown hair except one hime cut one (im.remembering it being purple of some sort) who was the most "weak nerved" of the group, panicking the most and quickest. She begged for help drowning herself in the sink because she couldnt do it alone. She begged her friend to do it for her, the (protaganist) girl (i think long striaght hair with spiky ended bangs) kept refusing, and watched as a different girl helped drown that Hime cut one (the most negative of the group, who also was maybe a bully or not friends with protaganist). It started with the Hime one, & one by one her classmates (some were friends, some were not) started losing their shit & urging for suicidal things. Tearing at skin, one does strip naked but it wasnt all of them ( & it wasnt a detailed naked drawing, more like a vignette of colour). Until its just her and the bully one, who is fully naked, and coming at her like even if she doesnt want to kill herself, that everyone else is dead, and she was going to make her fight. I remember that in the end it had actually only been a few hours, when the rescue team got there, and in broad daylight, even though it appeared to the girls (visually) that days had passed. The end bit here im only fairly certain on: but i remember she was alive unconcious everyone else dead, that it wasnt shown specifically but that she obviously won the battle between her and the last girl, except it was made to look like it was a question of whether it was all in her mind, or there was some hint. I dont remember if she actually was found just dead. BUT I DO remember the rescue workers being confused, it ends back in daylight. Ive never heard about this story elsewhere until this video. Mimd you i thought it was weird af, especially since i was looking for porn and this fucking horror movie popped up but i got invested. The background sound was strictly visceral, no music, only screams or tears or the water running etc. That would fir with this guro fetish genre you described in this video. Would mame sense looking back why it might have been randomly in there, especially since there was no sexual acts in the video. Younger me thought, okay weird internet, and just continued onward until i stumbled across this video. Genuinely weirded out.
I remember checking the laserdisc database and finding nothing there relating to Saki Sanobashi despite it having a lot of obscure Japanese OVAs and other lost media.
I can confirm for a fact that there certainly was a fuckton of gore anime and manga back in the day. It wasn't even something you had to search for, IT WOULD FIND YOU. People sort of spammed it and used it to filter out the normies out of the image boards and groups. Though I do find it very sus... You can google very controversial hentai up to this day, but you can't find gore (gore is kind of a casual everyday thing at this point but especially in anime)? Oh well, must be truly a copyright issue then. Which means that the Japanese collectors need to become aware of this video, which is hardly likely... I'm guessing that someone who would keep such things around doesn't socialize much or care for mysteries.
Groups of collectors of very rare items, especially media, can be very protective and secretive of their hoard and will only speak about and show it off to those they determine to be worthy of witnessing their wonders.
I feel like I’ve actually watched the anime, it just… seems very familiar, especially from the year 2011, I remember that very clearly, I remember watching a gruesome anime, I was horrified. I don’t remember how the anime went, all I remember is a bathroom and a lot of blood, so I suspect that this was the anime I saw
Men, I was in grade school. Most of the boys would know how se works but I was one that doubt my parents had done it. Before I know what se is I was stumbled upon lots of g*re corn. I thought girls will pull out their uterus out when they have it or it will always bleed when doing it. Neither of my usual doujin site or those obscure things are on the internet anymore. It was always on Japanese or Chinese website.
Thank you for not being someone to just outright say it's fake in the end. The search may be pretty dead but I like to hold onto a little hope anyways. Stranger things have happened. Someday it might pop up in the weirdest way possible.
If Saki-San Obatsu/Sa Kisan Obasa is real, then it was probably either destroyed by Konami, or it was burried so deeply into the Deep Web, that it is unlikely anyone will ever be able to find it again.
I watched an anime as a kid, like 20 years ago. It started off with 2 friends, boys, about 15 years old in Tokyo, Japan. One of them was a bit of a tough-boy, and the other was gentle and sweet. They were out one night, and as they split up to walk home, we could see the tough-kid being teleported into some RPG fantasy universe. He was surprised but quickly got a hang of it and fought his way through, helping people on the way, I can't remember his ultimate goal, but it was probably to get home. Anyway, like half-way through the anime, he suddenly meets up with his old friend, the sweet gentle kid. They hang around a bit in the village the main character just saved, then agree to teleport to somewhere else to continue their quest or something. Anyway, the main character leaves after saying goodbye to all his new friends he just saved a few days earlier, but just before the sweet kid follows him through the portal he turns around with a evil ass grin, then slaughters EVERYONE in the village in a horrific way, then smiles innocently and goes after his friend in the teleporter, acting like nothing happened. I can't remember much after that, I just remember thinking to myself "I think it would be more interesting to see that anime now that I'm older" a few years later. But then I never found it again.. Anyone heard of anything like that? I just remember being so shocked by the sweet kid turning straight up EVIL.
I feel like the best way to find this would be if someone was to get this search going on in Japan like in the Japanese web since it was made in Japan its possible more people from Japan saw it and it might be more easier to find if we have tons of people from the country of origin it'll be more likely we even find it

@@krishnamakhija2800 this is the project that I’ve been working on for a while I didn’t plan on updating it soon because I’m really busy with school I’m sorry if I led people to think this was going to happen soon but it’s not I’m an animator who’s also in high school I don’t have that much time to work on stuff like this but I try to work on it when I can. Unfortunately I had a falling out with the group of friends who offered to voice act I think I might do an animated comic type thing because I don’t have any voice actors and to avoid shitty audio quality since I don’t have a proper microphone
the no "horror music" to accompany the girls' gruesome deaths is actually pretty smart move because just imagine the only thing you hear their voice and the ripping of the body while they kill theirselves.
That almost implies it was animated as a fetish snuff porn, there would really be no reason to exclude the music unless the creators intent was for you to get off to the disturbing sound effects
This was an incredibly well-made video. Great pacing, editing, and you've got a great voice for essay-type videos; this could totally be a great niche for you to continue exploring. With regard to this topic, as someone who hardcore lurked the chans from 2006 to 2012, I can definitely back up some claims with how media was back then, especially around some of the more obscure stuff. There were so many places on the internet still holding just huge file dumps of anything and everything. From Megaupload to rapidshare, we're probably lost an entire library of Alexandria worth of stuff from those sites alone; but people on the chans would link their own uploads individually all the time. If this was a video that did exist, I guarantee no one was specifically holding onto it because (from the description alone) it was nothing special, especially to the guro community, more and more extreme content was their aim. This would've been completely tame by comparison. I honestly believe this was most likely a video in a batch file of other old school shorts and files from some long dead torrent or upload link. Someone had it sitting in a hoarded collection of stuff, hosted their files up in whatever 'deep web' video hosting site OP stumbled across, and either a name was completely made up for the file altogether or an extremely loose title was translated. I weirdly enough do believe this has a decent shot of existing. It's mundane enough that it sounds pretty plausible. OP could've well over-embelished to make it sound more like a legit 'dark-web' find, but they didn't, and stuck to their description throughout their posts; And there were heaps of weird media like that floating in the niche corners of Japanese animation at the time. The fact that this was subbed is what's unusual to me. Someone took the time to do that and surprisingly didn't claim credit via inserting their translation team's tag or alias into the sub itself (which was the common practise at the time). I think that would be a good lead. Some scanlation/translation sites have blogs that still exist today, or at least have some old email contacts still listed via the wayback machine. The communities there were very active and crossed over contact via various teams, so if there were some guro-centred translators, you might have better luck having them reach out through their networks. Someone could possibly find who worked on it, or at least get more possible clues out. Good luck with the channel, you've got yourself a subscriber.
Fake or not, the search for Saki Sanobashi created a whole community for people to get together and instead of a punch they went to "go for a hunt" for a lost media. My 2c is that the OP strung together a mash up of various dark gore horrors through various mediums like animes, h*ntai, movies, tv series, dreams/nightmares, manga, snuff videos even. Along with the fact that the japanese translation got lost somewhere, making it even more wishy washy and so all of those fabricated memories intertwined with mandella effect, created an unreliable narrator who gave us a lead that went nowhere. Maybe not nowhere, it did leave us a small itch of curiosity that dwells at the back of our mind and for some, it gave them a bigger purpose. But either way, I enjoyed this video and it wouldn't have existed if curiosity didn't.
There are a few movies and cartoons I remember watching in my childhood days. I really want to find a movie I watched 15-16 years ago but can't remember the name so I tired with whatever vague memory match I had to describe the plot but couldn't find. Accurate name with description is very important to find something especially if it's old and rare. And I think a wrong name can mess up your search trace even if your plot description is accurate. This applies both online and offline. Personally I don't think such anime wouldn't exist considering there are lot worse things on the internet (ClenWeb) If it ever existed then there might be a chance that its stored somewhere offline. Or left in a archive format in someones inbox. Who knows
Considering it’s 4chan I imagine the OP was trolling, or maybe they’re misremembering a dream as something they actually watched. I have a lot of dreams where I watch movies and they’re usually very disturbing psychological horror for some reason. They also could have watched something similar and misremembered it? Edit: It’s a very intriguing concept for a psychological horror though, maybe someone will actually make the movie.
This is a year ago i jnow but still When i was a kid i saw a just 3 seconds of a movie. I didnt even see the killer. Just a bathroom stall And i dreamt of the killer brutally murdering people(i think the movie is called the wolf mask) Same thing could have happened to him maybe?
Even if this anime isn't real, it's still a cool concept with incredible potential and even if the original poster came up with it all, this person must be a genius. Just imagining this anime in my head makes me feel uncomfortable. How do big studios let such an idea pass by? Yes, I understand that this will be very difficult to film and release, but if someone manages to do it, and doing everything right, then I'm sure it will be a masterpiece.
After watching this video, and seeing the screenshot of Wayback Machine (I think thats the name), I do believe Go for a Punch does exist, but probably too obscure to be found any time soon
I have a lost film for ya. I can only remember one part of the movie. It had Ken Jeong playing a petshop owner. He was trying to sell a falcon to the main character. The only dialog I remember is kens character saying "I don't have a falcon. Falcons are illegal" then whispering "I have a falcon". For the life of me I can't find that movie
maybe Zookeeper 2011? I googled Ken Jeong's name and backtracked all the public movies he's been in and that seems to be the only one that has to go with animals
i remember my older cousin used to have a bunch of creepy animes he downloaded from the internet bc he used to show them to me and my sisters when he babysat(bc he fucking sucked) one of them does sound a lot like go for a punch but if it was i wouldnt know it was awhile ago and my family cut ties with him years ago so i cant contact him. gl on the search though
Man I'm sorry you had to watch that sort of thing at such a young age :((( I'm glad you've cut ties with him, I hope that somehow another lead will surface
If you don't mind me asking, do you remember anything about it? The plot, the art style, any details could be helpful - of course only if taking about it isn't triggering for you in any way since it seems to have been a traumatic experience
Excellent video. I love the idea of Saki Sanobashi and wish it was real. Reminds me of my own personal lost anime search where I only recall the very last scene of some movie/show that takes place on a grassy cliff beach with two people talking about ghosts or something and some white haired pale girl starts jogging slowly up to them saying something like "please don't" and the scene stops mid-animation and fades to credits. It's been haunting me for like a decade now. Also, does anyone know the music playing in this video during 18:10 to 19:17 or so? It is super familiar. Edit: I found the music. It's 'Who are you' from FFVII. It was driving me crazy lmao...
@@twist3494 unfortunately it's not anohana, I appreciate you both offering it as a solution. It was probably about 2007 or 2008 when I saw this particular anime clip so it would have been before Anohana was made. I'll keeps looking!
Honestly, same. Not that particular one or maybe not an anime, but I remember looking for something in particular but never find it. I sometimes remember what I’m trying to look for and spend hours trying but in of give up and forget again lol.
Aye! Team Saki got a shoutout whoohoo!!! noice. i like how my artwork is just there in the video in full gory detail. shoot im too scared to post it in my own youtube.
Awesome video👍it makes me so sad to think about how many eroguro animes have become lost media, hopefully if this is real it can be recovered eventually
I've one more theory. What if the duration of this anime movie isn't what was said. I mean there is a strong possibility that whatever these people saw wasn't the whole thing but only part of long duration movie or few episodes of anime. This could be part of a serial killer's torture story( like the saw movies) or point of view of someone who actually survived the brutal relentless torture . Let's just imagine you've found last 26min clip of Predator 1987 where the Americans fought terrorist then suddenly skipped to the unmasked alien fighting Dutch . That's it. What would you make out of this if you didn't know the plot or movie name? Why I'm saying is if what we know is barely a partial story of the main context then it's neither the description or the title makes sense.
@@lolunicornsaj8907 Ok . Since I'm back here again I'll talk about one last thing. This whole Saki San Obashi has been a dark curiosity treasure box for long time among many people. No seriously it's been a long time and , enough to caught some anime productions attention. So why don't someone just make a super R rated anime movie with similar plot?
@@AnupomAG I mean tbh it sounds kinda boring, and like someone else commented elsewhere "everything is better when your 12". I still find it interesting that it can be "lost" within the internet, but the actual substance of the anime seems poor.
This kind of reminds me of the lightbulb psychology experiment, or whatever it’s called…. It’s when someone told the subject about a memory that doesn’t exist, and at first, they dont remember it, but after a couple days, they suddenly remember a couple details. Maybe the op just had a really weird nightmare, and thats what happened…
One thing about these old videos before the days of the internet there were alot of either bootleg or third/fourth/fifth party creators. Even in this day and age there are tonnes of shows which are only shown to a small percentage of the population due to being hidden behind paywalls and stuff. I assume the initial video this guy saw was someones either art house or specialist groups movie which then got distributed through pawn shops and etc which then some people get their hands on. A really good video like this is on youtube called "grave robbing for dummies" like in all likelyhood nothing nefarious happened in that video but noone knows who created and the people who starred in it (though it is likely that the host is known).
"Saki san no bashi" would probably be more like Mr.Kill's room (Saki was similar in sound with the word of killing in japenese, so I doubt that it wasn't that instead.)
Or, if its sakisan, which might be a mispronounced of sakeisano, which would probably be meant "under urge of kill", "be in danger of slaughter", which would be more like the original title instead.
I wonder if the op was remembering the anime but with different anime pieces in mind as well, causing the op to mumble-jumble the original anime. Idr if Pezle said the op had watched other guro animes but if the op has, he could be mixing two together or even three causing op to make a whole new anime in op’s head accidentally (while trying to only describe one).
Honestly the answer IS the deep web. If it exists then it is out there. All the deep web is are websites that you cannot access through a search engine, yet need a direct link. Hell, even UA-cam has unlisted videos that have been there since 2008 with no way to access them without either the origin owners account access, a direct link, or to manually skim through the servers with BILLIONS of videos to find it with no place to start. Each option is as impossible to achieve as the last just in different ways. Hopefully one day someone will come forward with the information or the actual footage after seeing the internet rally to find it in the future 🤷♀️
The argument that it's fake because OP cried himself to sleep is so dumb 😭 The question he was answering was asking "what was the most disturbing thing you've seen on the dark web?" If you saw something you'd say was the most disturbing thing, then of course you'd cry yourself to sleep. That's like if a person answered the question "what is the most rage-causing thing you've seen?" and then getting mad when a responder says they got so upset over the event that they punched a wall. Like what. I watch terrible sh¡t all the time on grotesque websites, and sometimes I see something I find so disturbing that I cry. I have no opinions on whether or not the show is real, but what. 💀 How is this a rebuttal?

Why am I watching this at night 😭 anyways I’m glad I found your short! It’s very interesting and I’m happy that I can learn new things I haven’t found on the internet
I believe this could possibly be a product of the Mandela Effect. The mandela effect is an effect where an event, thing or place is remembered by a large group of people, however what they remembered never even existed in the first place. also called a 'collective false memory.' i see many comments and people of other videos saying that they remember a film so similiar, or even remembering it exactly. if this is fake, it could have been a HUGE mandela effect. remember, nothing on the internet can be deleted. so if this japanese film does exist, then it is lost media that CAN be found. i do hope it exists, it is a very interesting plot.
i dont blame this to mandela effect. Belive it or not the concept of "saki sanobashi" is very cliche to the guro community. Maybe the exact thing the original dude described didnt existed, but similar anime and manga did and i've watched quite a few like that. I cannot link you any of them because, guess what, i cant find them anymore. Yeah anything can be found in theory, but good luck trying to find some obscure anime uploaded in long dead links that no one bothered to restore. I surely cant, and i wish i could find my old dark anime/manga. Luckly i still have some on an HD, but i bet the info is all corrupted after decades. The axiom "nothing on the internet can be deleted" is only true for relevant information. Obscure shit did goes, forgotten, if no one bothers.
my first exposure to media related Mandela Effect was reading Stephen King's Dark Tower series where it's described as a plot device. the novel, however, was written before this term was coined, so I suppose it must've been always known, but under a different name? it's so hard to dig into anything that goes back before the Internet era and it also freaks me out a bit, because this book series kind of proves this isn't just some online conspiracy, as this concept of false collective memories of books and film clearly predates the www
either it was a dream that felt too close to reality or it’s an extremely obscure avant garde project that’s probably sitting somewhere in a cd store in the middle of nowhere
I may have actually seen screenshots of it on a weird gore anime private community back on Google+ i had many followers back then and i used to get invitations to many groups/communities back then and it was on one of those but i don’t remember it’s name or title or characters because i was too creeped out and left quickly i just didn’t want to remember it, unfortunately G+ was taking down for good but i still believe some of the pictures shared there could possibly still be restored.
I remember an anituber talking about it in a recommendation list some time in 2010 with footage. But it wasn't a bathroom it was just a single white room. I never realized it was even lost at all. I can't even remember who's video it was. What i do know is that there was no mention of gore or violence. Just a philosophical conversation.
One thing I wanna mention, the name of the piece from the Shining is pronounced “DEE-yes EE-ray.” The “Dies” in Dies Irae is not the same as the English word “dies.” It means “That Day of Wrath” in Latin, and it was originally a requiem hymn, but the name and the motif have been reused over and over again throughout the centuries to signify death.
Why isn't the elephant in the room addressed here? There's so much nearly mainstream hentai that is not subbed. Absolutely no way in hell an anime this obscure would have an English sub.
Maybe it got translated after someone downloaded it, you can find the person who translated them around 2009, they were in the comments if you search them correctly
To be fair, anime production started to ramp up around 2015-ish. If it’s a notably older one, someone might have translated because of the scarcity of anime in the West, too. Either way, would be cool to find it’s actually real. If not, would be cool if someone made it lol.
@@afellowpotatobut still they said It was subbed if it wasn't having any conversations why they would say it was subbed? They could've just simply say nothing about it or said there wasn't spoken a word ...
The story may be true, it may not. But a moral remains: many animes that we saw can be lost forever and not because they are dark but because the studios that made it closed or disappeared over the years, many were released directly to VHS or Video laser in reduced numbers of copies only once and were not distributed Outside of Japan, a lot of material has been destroyed, perhaps because it did poorly in sales, anime movies that were announced but not released or simply the production of them was canceled at some point and we are facing something similar to what happened with Hollywood silent movies where it is known that 90% of films that was produced in the decades from 1910 to 1930 is considered lost forever.
I think some things are just named something different in English. I know it’s not the same thing, but I’ve seen a few vocaloid songs whose official English name is nothing like the translation of the Japanese.
I doubt it was lie, but maybe it was something else. Like, and this is completely different, I very distinctly remember a loony toon about Daffy Duck. There was one scene where he was a ww1 trench firing off into the distance with a bunch of soldiers, backs to the camera. Daffy then said some smartass comment and the soldiers all looked at him angrily. Daffy noticed and broke into a song before zipping off. The part that is burnt into my brain is the last line of the song "cornnnn beeffff and cabbage". Thing is was before I knew cornbeef and cabbage was even a dish, yet alone a traditional in anyway. In fact, the first my mother cooked it for "The New Year's Tradition" the clip came to my mind incredibly vivid. I still don't know if it's real to this day.
It's highly possible to exist bc my art teacher was sick few days ago and there was random teacher instead of her and he played us some random loony tunes episodes(idk why we're in high school btw) and there was one episode with military motive(idk what it was about I was busy drawing) plus I wasn't paying much attention to this but I was hearing some jokes for adults(I wouldn't understand them as kid but damn) so it's highly possible plus shows for kids back them didn't care about these things...
@@ktos_bardzo_fajny Actually, there were propaganda shorts during WWII(Disney did them at the very least; one of these notably features Uncle Scrooge's first appearance, though he wasn't named in there). Maybe WB did some too and that's what the OP saw?
I think what they meant by the artstyle being like Hayao Miyazaki's is that it used old cel animation and/or had similar quality. I doubt it'd actually look like Studio Ghibli animation,,, especially since ghibli has a unique style and I'm pretty sure this anime could've just been a doujin anime or something made by a small, obscure animation studio, meaning the budget was probably pretty low. I like to imagine that this anime would've probably had an art style similar to other guro works like Shoujo Tsubaki, Tsui no Sora, or maybe Shizuku? (the vn) or whatever anime art style was popular in the 80s/90s,,,
Maybe the name will be "Saki-san's Choice or Decision." Another will be Saki-san's Observation given that it might be drawn into Saki-san's perspective.
The picture of saki sanobashi is COMPLETE FAKE. and edited. It's from school ghost stories 1996 OVA. The girl in the "white" is actually green haired and wearing a kimono. Not a school uniform. (I didnt know her name since it was untranslated in youtube so I didnt know) + saki sanobashi name sounds like a western trying to sound japanese/naming a random name.

15:43 this is why I believe that this could be an actual thing. Doujin animations are a thing, and 'go for a punch' could actually be the name of the doujin circle behind it as opposed to the animation title ...
Looking only at the original post, it seems like the anime itself is being described rather than Anon telling what happened like a story. The first line is "Some weird anime" not something like "There was a weird anime." which would be more consistent with someone telling a story about something that affected them. Then he gives details in short bullet point format like "They just started screaming and yelling" as a lone sentence. This short term format is a good way to control the flow of the writing so it's harder to pick apart and easier to sound convincing, since it doesn't need to be all together and still consistent. In summary, it doesn't sound like these things were an experience for Anon, it sounds more like an organized creation.

I’ve never heard of this before but I believe I had a dream about something similar, it’s much longer in context but in short there was a spinning room down in a basement where a creature lived and my friend got stuck in there so when I ran in to save her I found her going mental with these 4 other girls in a bathroom room. The monster was picking us off one by one so I wonder if this has any ties to it, I’ve told this dream many times to the point I remember it vividly
I remember watching a anime something like this. There was (if I remember) 8-9 girls trapped in a medium sized, moist abandoned bathroom in their school because they got trapped (I don’t remember how) but I think what happened was like most of the school got destroyed so they only had access to the bathroom, 3 classes, and a office. But the insides of the classes and office were kinda destroyed. They wore sailor uniforms they were pretty like darkish-blue or just blue. They waited for a few days for help, then they started lose it their minds. One girl drowned herself because she couldn’t take it and I think she asked for help so she could die by drowning. They started killing themselves from losing their sanity. They we’re all screaming and kinda sreeching and it made my stomach twist. At the end their was just camera angles over their dead body’s. Blood all over the floor, some of the girls falling on top of eachother, bones scattered across the bathroom.. It was just crazy. My friend and I decided to never touch that ‘anime’ ever again. I don’t remember the name but it could have possibly been this anime. Also, here’s some of the bathroom details. There was like 7-9 stalls and 4 sinks. There was a few lights but they were really When I say really, I mean REALLY dim lights. It was so dark that I could barely see what was happening. The lights flickered on and off every few seconds. There was tiled floors with I think white or marble flooring. One stall was destroyed, and there was moss growing under another of the stalls. This is all I can remember so far. I hope we can find this anime (If it exists) and solve this mystery once for all.
@Snowpro for question one, It was a anime dvd store i don't remember the name but it's been taken down a few years ago because it's kinda like the anime dark web he showed on the video but its like in a store form and they sells piracys of anime so yeah. For the second question it kinda looked like it was drawn in a highschool dxd way but they we're just more 'off' than how dxd would look like. also kinda looks like a 1980s anime. How did i find it? well, me and my friend we're looking for a anime to watch so we bought some dvd in japanese (I couldn't read japanese at the time) But we asked the cashier what the anime was like and he said it's REALLL fun. Than he winked at us. And my uncle recommended it to us. Oh, and if you're wondering where the dvd was? My friend and I broke it because we thought it was cursed, or hacked.

Theres a post on Reddit from someone claiming to be the OP from 4chan. Dude said he made it up for a lol. Then it just got out of hand. Though watching people try to find this thing, we have accidentally discover other forgotten animes even if they weren't lost.
as dezo kun said (in the comments section) : That's exactly my viewpoint. After all, the op mentioned it was "something like" go for a punch. Or we could go further and take "saki san no bashi", and turn it into some other similarly sounding japanese phrase (sashi sanno bashi = stab bitter place). I had studied japanese and thought I could help in this quest and went on several searches on the web. Watched countless weird anime and read horrible guro manga. But of course, to no avail. My part: I believe I've seen it in 2018 but it could just be some deja vu Warp (2 weeks ago) can describe the video I had seen (or atleast closely): Uhhh.... I remember seeing something like this. There was a group of high school or middle school girls who were stuck in a tiled bathroom, there was some sort of landslide or cave in, the door wouldn't open, I think there was a window but it was a high floor, so they had to wait. They started progressively becoming hysteric. Like they were fine, then insisting on death as the only answer, that no one was coming for them, concept of time was slipping. The protagonist (girl that lives longest I guess?) was overtly positive throughout, reassuring, against the maddening thought her classmates were having, pleading not to do violent things. I remember them in blue sailor type uniforms (but this could be also the way hues were animated when in dark or light, but something close to blue). They talked and rather quickly started losing their shit. All had brown hair except one hime cut one (I'm remembering it being purple of some sort) who was the most "weak nerved" of the group, panicking the most and quickest. She begged for help drowning herself in the sink because she couldn't do it alone. She begged her friend to do it for her, the (protagonist) girl (i think long straight hair with spiky ended bangs) kept refusing, and watched as a different girl helped drown that Hime cut one (the most negative of the group, who also was maybe a bully or not friends with protaganist). It started with the Hime one, & one by one her classmates (some were friends, some were not) started losing their shit & urging for suicidal things. Tearing at skin, one does strip naked but it wasn't all of them ( & it wasn't a detailed naked drawing, more like a vignette of colour). Until its just her and the bully one, who is fully naked, and coming at her like even if she doesn't want to kill herself, that everyone else is dead, and she was going to make her fight. I remember that in the end it had actually only been a few hours, when the rescue team got there, and in broad daylight, even though it appeared to the girls (visually) that days had passed. The end bit here I'm only fairly certain on: but i remember she was alive unconscious everyone else dead, that it wasn't shown specifically but that she obviously won the battle between her and the last girl, except it was made to look like it was a question of whether it was all in her mind, or there was some hint. I don't remember if she actually was found just dead. BUT I DO remember the rescue workers being confused, it ends back in daylight. I've never heard about this story elsewhere until this video. Mind you I thought it was weird af, especially since I was looking for porn and this fucking horror movie popped up but i got invested. The background sound was strictly visceral, no music, only screams or tears or the water running etc. That would for with this guro fetish genre you described in this video. Would make sense looking back why it might have been randomly in there, especially since there was no sexual acts in the video. Younger me thought, okay weird internet, and just continued onward until I stumbled across this video. Genuinely weirded out. (this has been partially edited to correct the grammatical errors by Tate) Ezra Stardust's Suggestion: I personally think we should look at the work of the creator of Shoujo Tsubaki (aka Mr Arashi’s Amazing Freak Show) That anime has a similar art style to what Go For A Punch allegedly has, as well as a very disturbing scream towards the end and plenty of horrifying content I can’t help but wonder if he made this piece of lost media and unlike Shoujo Tsubaki it was just never recovered sidedish (bbg you ain't the side dish you the main dish): Spoilers: the person who talked about this “anime,” confessed that it was a made up thing to troll the OP who asked about what was the most messed up anime anyone was watched. His first confession got deleted on Reddit so he made a second one where he apologized for everyone who wasted their time trying to find it. Tate (Me): Take this info with an grain of salt as I cannot confirm that this is 100% accurate as we are just random people on the internet but I am just taking some comments (credited) and taking them and pasting them into the comments to try to get some sense out of it
this anime/OVA does not exist. whenever you vaguely remember something you've seen, read or played, there's always someone that can point you in the right direction. but this being widely known as it is and still not having an answer, that alone proves that it doesn't exist. the creator/team would definitely make their self known due to the popularity of this and capitalize on it, because why not? there's literally no downsides to not coming out. even then, a piece of animation of this level an episode/OVA in length would be animated by a team of people, not to mention things like voice acting and the soundtrack. a TEAM of people if it were to even exist, and not for a SINGLE person to come out and say "yeah i worked on that" just proves it never existed. if we found out the origin of something like DEATH METAL PACHINKO, a CD from a band made by a group of friend's that was found in a fucking charity shop, i can assure this does not exist.
Yeah, it's very likely the op either hugely misremembered an anime they saw, or mixed 2 very similar animes into one single memory. For example he could've seen an anime about a girl locking and drowning herself inside a bathroom and another about several girls trapped inside a school with a bathroom scene and though they must have both been the same anime.
I agree with this comment, like this is most likely the case but even this can still be refuted. One person could have been responsible for making the anime, and could have just asked random friends, random people or rando's online to voice act. And, Ik this is kinda dark to say, but there is a possibility the creator could literally just be dead. Whenever people see media online, and they to look into the creator of it, I feel like they never take into account the fact they could not see any news or updates on said person because said person is dead. Ik that's kinda dark, and if anything, you're prob correct, but ey-it could still be a rare possibilty.

I personnally don't think this is real for many reasons: 1. There is no LN , manga or other original work by that name as most animes adapt another work. Though this is not conclusive evidence. 2. There has been no evidence for it existing such as videos , the dvd and more. Which other lost media has had such as the UK show "could you run the country (2004)" (name might be incorrect). Which has had people searching years for and 2 episodes out of 4 (as of posting) have been found and published onto UA-cam. As well as the BBC admitted to it existing. 3. We only have 1 source for this a 4 channer which is not a reliable source at all. So none of my reasons are definitive but it should at least put extreme doubt on it actually existing.
That was the same thinking when it came to the "Clock man" search and that one was real. While I do agree more than likely it is not real, I do believe there are similar material online that is lost that only 1 or 2 people have seen. Hell if the JoJo movie can be lost even with it's popularity, many other things could be lost
@@Neronova888 yep that is why I put that non of my reasons are definitive. But for the clockwork there was more evidence if it is the same thing I am thinking of. As people of the production crew did vaguely recognise a summary for it. Lastly I agree about the JoJo. I know it has happened with things like Top Gear. Which is why I said non of the reasons are definitive. As it basically comes down to personnal opinion.

The internet was created in 1983 if it was a old anime it would need phisical copies so probably the next step in the search is go to japan and look everywhere like how the game gaylord was found even if the copie is damaged it would have some information and the reasen those people would have seen it because someone uploaded it onto the internet( idk if this will help but good luck with the search)
It really brings me back to the early days when I was exploring creepypasta's tales and even horror page games with jumpscares. I miss those days as a child.
Could be! I've seen a handful of people who claim to remember "saki" mentioning that they remember the girls wearing partially blue sailor-style school uniforms. That could definitely align with Corpse Party.

I'm guessing the anime mustve been an ONA, small anime ONA in the early 2000s were rather obscure even then.
That’s actually rlly smart I didn’t think of that
Makes sense
you're highly onto something
I personally think we should look at the work of the creator of Shoujo Tsubaki (aka Mr Arashi’s Amazing Freak Show)
That anime has a similar art style to what Go For A Punch allegedly has, as well as a very disturbing scream towards the end and plenty of horrifying content
I can’t help but wonder if he made this piece of lost media and unlike Shoujo Tsubaki it was just never recovered
unfortunately i doubt Hiroshi Harada (the creator of Shoujo Tsubaki) made Go for a Punch for quite a few reasons. i believe most people claim Go for a Punch was possibly made in late 80's-early 90's?
But it might be a conjoined work like how Hiroshi-San helped in making litchi club theater scenario that inspired the manga version and ova
My theory is that it was an amateur doujin animation. Most doujin works are distributed in small numbers at a specific event(s), this would also help explain the disturbing subject matter to some extent as well since there’s practically no restrictions in regards to content when it comes to doujin media.
yea, that would make the most sense logically.
My thoughts also, those were more common around the 80s-90s too. The 'Go For a Punch' could possibly be the doujin circle's name as opposed to the animation title.
That really does seem like the case. (also hi fellow GA fan)
Yes, this is most likely. Tbh if ppl still wanna find it they should try looking into doujin creators or something
Great content bro

You're right, plenty of more fucked up anime/manga then in this real/fake OVA. Mai Chans Daily life is probably the worst I've seen

I personally think it existed but had a different name
There are a few movies and cartoons I remember watching in my childhood days.
I really want to find a movie I watched 15-16 years ago but can't remember the name so I tired with whatever vague memory match I had to describe the plot but couldn't find.
Accurate name with description is very important to find something especially if it's old and rare. And I think a wrong name can mess up your search trace even if your plot description is accurate.
This applies both online and offline.
Personally I don't think such anime wouldn't exist considering there are lot worse things on the internet (ClenWeb)
If it ever existed then there might be a chance that its stored somewhere offline.

It's probably "Saki San no batsu" or "Saki's Punishment" but it was probably misremembered as "Saki Sanobashi"

How is it interesting?
my first exposure to media related Mandela Effect was reading Stephen King's Dark Tower series where it's described as a plot device. the novel, however, was written before this term was coined, so I suppose it must've been always known, but under a different name? it's so hard to dig into anything that goes back before the Internet era and it also freaks me out a bit, because this book series kind of proves this isn't just some online conspiracy, as this concept of false collective memories of books and film clearly predates the www
either it was a dream that felt too close to reality or it’s an extremely obscure avant garde project that’s probably sitting somewhere in a cd store in the middle of nowhere
This sounds specific enough for it to be true.
I dont know why Cornhub has a share to Google+ option. I would not want anyone knowing that I use Google+
Do you have any links to the Google Plus group? What was it called?
I remember an anituber talking about it in a recommendation list some time in 2010 with footage. But it wasn't a bathroom it was just a single white room. I never realized it was even lost at all. I can't even remember who's video it was. What i do know is that there was no mention of gore or violence. Just a philosophical conversation.
A single white room? Might be euphoria then.
One thing I wanna mention, the name of the piece from the Shining is pronounced “DEE-yes EE-ray.” The “Dies” in Dies Irae is not the same as the English word “dies.”
It means “That Day of Wrath” in Latin, and it was originally a requiem hymn, but the name and the motif have been reused over and over again throughout the centuries to signify death.
Considering the butchery of Japanese pronunciations in this video, I'm not surprised he got the latin wrong too lol

But no one discusses what characters say in it. Agreeing to drown someone can be told through body language

People who investigate things like this as a hobby are really something.

(the vn) or whatever anime art style was popular in the 80s/90s,,,
Doki Doki Literature Club music is perfect for this video. Also glad to see this game hasn't been forgotten about lol.
Maybe the name will be "Saki-san's Choice or Decision."
Another will be Saki-san's Observation given that it might be drawn into Saki-san's perspective.
That last part is why I believe it's in fact Saki-san No Bashi (although this would likely make it and Go for a Punch two separate things)
It’s mind boggling that someone would take the time to create an anime so horrific. I don’t think it’s a hoax because so many people have watched it. The anime is somewhere out there.
I wrote a screenplay to adapt Saki.

had an ex claiming they spent time on "the dark web". Really thought they were just poking around youtube, but they got into some really weird unsettling things. Still saddens me remembering who they were, and thinking about who they became...
This whole thing reminds me of how the Slenderman came about. One person made a post with a throwaway idea, but people were like "THAT'S SO COOL" and then it just exploded into popularity.
I don't think this thing exists, but I'm sure it will eventually! Someone's bound to actually make it if they haven't already.
I love videos like this, super interesting!

POSSIBLE UPDATE : the OP about saki sanobashi has said that it was fake (UNCONFIRMED)
_It looks like my previous post was deleted, either by a bot or a moderator, please don't delete this post. You don't have to believe me, but just hear my out ok?_
_This is a throwaway account, because I know that people are going to hate me for having lead them on for so long, and tbh, I deserve all of the hate you can send my way, but I don't want it following me around on my main account._
_I made the original post about Go for a punch, or as it's now called, "Saki Sanobashi" as a joke. It all started when I was browsing 4Chan and found a thread that was asking about the "Scariest things that you've found on the deep web" and in classic 4chan user fashion, I decided to troll a little, just for fun. I made up some cliche spoopy lost episodesque story in like 5 minutes and gave it an awkward sounding English title, since a lot of anime (especially low budget/quality ones) have names like that._
_My only purpose was to troll the OP of the original thread, since he seemed pretty gullible seeing as he was asking people about the scariest thing that they've seen on the deep web and expected a serious answer from 4Chan. I had completely forgotten about all of this until just recently, when Whang, who I watch religiously, uploaded a video about it. I was really shocked when I realized that he was talking about me, since I didn't think that anyone would actually believe my obvious bs, it was also pretty surreal that not only had my favorite youtuber made a video about a stupid troll post that I made, but that so many people had dedicated time and effort into looking for it._
_After I watched Whang's video I started lurking in a few of the discords dedicated to finding Saki and this subreddit, I didn't do much, I mostly just read what other people were saying and joked around a little bit (Nothing big, just some minor trolling here and there, I didn't write any of the fake "I saw Saki posts")_
_I didn't feel bad about tricking all of you at first, infact I got a pretty good laugh out of seeing how people had dedicated so much time and effort to finding a clearly phony story, but as time went on and I started seeing more and more UA-cam videos being made about the topic, and saw people who were incredibly dedicated, such as f neo, I started to feel kind of bad, but I didn't want to put an end to the search just yet, as it was still pretty funny. (Especially the discords, they're wild.)_
_All of this brings me to today, when I've decided to put an end to this stupid joke that has gone on for far far too long._
_I obviously don't have any evidence that I'm actually the OP and I don't think that there's even any way to prove it. I can already see everyone vehemently denying that I am the OP and continuing the search as if nothing happened, but just to clear my conscious..._
_Saki is fake, I made the whole thing up as a stupid troll, I didn't think that anyone would actually believe me, and I couldn't even imagine that it was possible for it to blow up to this level. I know that I'm repeating myself, but I'm honestly really flattered that so many people have gathered to search for something that I made up in a few minutes, I remember seeing a post just a few days ago where someone made a discord to "recreate" Saki, I don't think anything will come of it, as I'm sure that people will lose interest in the project, but I would be honored if people actually made this into a real thing._
_I have nothing left to say, other than offering all of you a sincere apology for having tricked you for so long._

*bathroom room*
lmao bathroom room
My part:
I believe I've seen it in 2018 but it could just be some deja vu
Warp (2 weeks ago) can describe the video I had seen (or atleast closely):
Uhhh....
(this has been partially edited to correct the grammatical errors by Tate)
Ezra Stardust's Suggestion: I personally think we should look at the work of the creator of Shoujo Tsubaki (aka Mr Arashi’s Amazing Freak Show)
That anime has a similar art style to what Go For A Punch allegedly has, as well as a very disturbing scream towards the end and plenty of horrifying content
I can’t help but wonder if he made this piece of lost media and unlike Shoujo Tsubaki it was just never recovered
sidedish (bbg you ain't the side dish you the main dish): Spoilers: the person who talked about this “anime,” confessed that it was a made up thing to troll the OP who asked about what was the most messed up anime anyone was watched.
The original workers could just be dead, or be nowhere close to the 4chan part of the internet. Hell, they could have forgot about it themselves.

I don't remember much ...
Got any more details
Hey mate, its been 10 months, do you still remember?
I personnally don't think this is real for many reasons:
As it basically comes down to personnal opinion.
if 4chan can't find it, it likely doesn't exist.

@@raythunder8619 1. Even if the deaths aren't super similar, the whole issue here is people remembering things incorrectly, and people probably mentally blending a few different pieces of media together.
2. Corpse Party came out in 1996. Way before "Saki Sanobashi" became a thing.
