Does anyone know why they have two police cars directly in front and behind the truck with the prisoners driving so super close to the truck? Seems pretty risky to me, one little mishap, slipping off the gas or even a prisoner doing something in the truck would cause not only the truck to swerve around a bit or accelerate/decelerate but also possibly crash into the police cars. I don't see the benefit of not keeping 2-3 meters more distance, it's not like they would lose the truck in traffic or something if they stay away a bit more. I've seen this in a couple of videos like this one, some even more extreme, so it got me thinking.
The idea I think is to prevent anyone getting between the police cars and the back door of the prison van if the convoy is attacked. They also become the inner convoy that would escape in that situation
Weird how a normal person is unescorted yet if you make your crime hit the news, you get 6 cop cars, nearly a dozen bikers escorting you in a truck. WTF. Waste of taxpayers money.
High risk security prisoners have always been escorted. Doesn't matter wether they are on the news or not. Whilst low risk prisoners don't get escorts. Its the same thing around the world in the u.s, germany etc. High risk prisoners will always be escorted.
Fantastic catch👍 Definitely cool seeing them all work together in formation

Seriously -how is the prisoner gonna escape? All this unnecessary drama! I am sure they haven't captured Batman.
It’s in case people try to kill them more than anything it’s usually gangsters who are in for murder
Because half the people transported by them have more money than the police lmao
Amazing catch

the only excess cost would be the petrol costs though?
Yer another stupid ignorant comment. The security risk is generally much higher with those who are involved in higher crimes.
Idiotic statement from a buffoon.
I have heard about police dogs, but is using cats a new thing in police force?
